For some, it may come as a surprise that such substances also exist in plants. This should also be noted – plants that may prove to be harmful when using laser therapy are among others.  St. John’s wort, marigold, daisy, chicory, arnica, lettuce, chamomile, field horsetail. Dahlias, chrysanthemum, rut, common amine, angelica, celery plants: such as celery, parsley, carrot, dill; pansiesies, yarrow, ginkgo biloba, coneflower and jackdaw – used to treat psoriasis.

It’s also good to check cosmetics – even those we use every day and don’t expect them to harm us in laser therapy. Like filter creams, perfumes, vitamin A and its derivatives, essential oils and antibacterial agents. Additionally, vitamin C or riboflavin, or vitamin B2.

All of the above mentioned substances may work differently, depending on the amount in which they are used by us. Therefore, at least two weeks before the treatment, it is worth consulting your doctor or the person performing the treatment.  You should consult your doctor or the person performing the treatment in order to determine the way of taking the drugs and their possible changes. As well as to apply other practical advice that will help us prepare for such a therapy.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS?

Photosensitizers (or photosensitizers or photosensitizers), cause hypersensitivity to laser.  They make our skin sensitive to it and may cause a number of injuries that are uncomfortable for us.
We are never sure to what extent they will affect us.  Therefore, before applying such therapy, they should be simply avoided. Some people may not show any disturbing symptoms. However, we are not able to predict our body’s reaction before applying such therapy.

The most common complications, laser therapy, are primarily the failure to apply the appropriate preparation for the therapy.  In this case, the absence of products that may contain photosensitizing substances. It is primarily reddened skin, burns, blisters, discoloration, irritated skin, inflammation or urticaria. Even if we have never come into contact with these types of symptoms before.  We are well aware that it is nothing pleasant. In addition, complications after using the laser often heal longer than usual.  And sometimes it is better for us to use the help of a doctor who will help us to fight off the injuries.   With appropriate medicines and not only with home-made methods.  Which may turn out to be not only insufficient but also dangerous for our health.

Of course, you should remember that laser is not only an unpleasantness. Actually, when we follow the instructions of the doctor or the person performing the treatment.  We are only able to find out about the positives that laser therapy brings. And the effects we are able to obtain are astonishing, often it is a dream come true for our patients.
