The skin is the largest organ in our body, which, among others protects the body against the external environment. To protect, moisturize and oil our skin, secretion of sweat glands (sweat)
and sebaceous (sebum) form a hydrolipidic coat. Sebum is produced by the sebaceous glands, which are in turn secreted through the sebaceous canal to the skin surface.
If the skin at the channels leading out to the sebum begins to act as keratosis. Then sebum will have a difficult secretion to the skin surface. This results in the formation of a micro-blackhead, followed by blackheads.
There are two types of blackheads: blackheads and blackheads. Open blackhead provides partial secreted sebum through the sebaceous gland. On the skin, blackheads are visible in the form of black spots and the size of a needle hole. Black color indicates the oxidation of keratin, generated horny epidermis. In turn, the closed blackhead has a whitish color and is better visible in the skin after stretching.
A closed blackhead may form a papule, followed by an inflammatory pustule or nodule. Blackheads are efflorescence, the most commonly used and adults are struggling with use.
What cleansing treatments are worth choosing?
Many clients look in the clinic for treatments that cleanse the skin of dead skin and treatments. That reduce the number of blackheads in the skin. Our Institute’s offer includes many blackhead treatments that can effectively eliminate this problem. The first is diamond microdermabrasion, which consists in peeling the stratum corneum and upper layers. Of the epidermis with a special head with diamond filings. At the same time, the skin is sucked by vacuum, thanks to which the exfoliated epidermis and sebum are absorbed by the machine.
This treatment works not only as a prevention of blackheads. It can be successfully used as a separate treatment for blackheads and as an introduction to other treatment procedures, e.g. manual cleansing.
Manual cleansing is a procedure in which the first stage is exfoliation of dead epidermis (using peeling adapted to the type of skin, e.g. microdermabrasion, cavitation peeling).
The next step is to apply a softening mask on the skin and direct a stream of vapor from vapozone, towards the treatment area. After a dozen or so minutes, the cosmetologist performing the procedure turns off the steam. The next stage is crucial. It manually removes the content of sebum from the expanded sebaceous glands. The last phase is the application of a calming mask to reduce irritation and regulate sebum production. After washing off the mask, apply the appropriate cream.Among the blackhead treatments, medical peels are another group. The active substances contained in the preparation are primarily responsible for the properties of medical peels.
In treatments for blackheads using medical peels, we will look for substances that exfoliate (e.g. glycolic acid, trichloroacetic acid), which reduce sebum secretion (e.g. mandelic acid, azelaic acid), which have anti-inflammatory properties (e.g. salicylic acid, lactic acid ) whether they are brightening (e.g. kojic acid, azeloglycine). Medical peels are in gel or water-alcohol form.
In their composition they contain such mixtures of acids and other active substances. That will act not only on blackheads, but also on other skin problems (e.g. discoloration, dry skin or telangiectasias).
Another blackhead treatment that we can offer at our Institute is the iPixel laser peeling. iPixel is used to exfoliate keratinized epidermis, remove blackheads, even the skin structure and reduce the enlarged sebaceous glands. After cleaning the skin of makeup and dirt, disinfection occurs. Then the customer puts on glasses that protect the eyes from the laser. The person performing the treatment finally applies a specialized cream to the skin. Which has the effect of accelerating skin healing. During the visit, the cosmetologist selects individual skin care recommendations after the procedure. Strong photoprotection and special hygiene of the treatment area.
iPixel is an ablative, fractional treatment, which means that there is a partial evaporation of the upper layers of the epidermis. Immediately after the procedure, the skin is red, and after a few days there is local browning of the epidermis. The average healing period of the skin up to two weeks. After this time, the skin is much softer, smooth and cleansed. IPixel also works on the deeper layer of skin. So in addition to cleaning the top layers of the epidermis, you should simulate dermis. The skin is remodeled and firmed within a few months of the procedure.
Microdermabrasion, medical peeling and iPixel laser peeling treatments are best performed in a series. This is a guarantee of more satisfying post-treatment effects. In addition, some treatment procedures can be combined (e.g. microdermabrasion with acids or medical peels). Then the effect of the entire therapy is greater. Blackhead treatments can be performed at intervals of two to four weeks, depending on the problem and the procedures used. Clients at our Institute are treated individually, which is why the course of therapy is determined before and during the series.
