PQage treatment is one of the best rejuvenating treatments on the market. The most important advantages of this chemical peeling is a strong stimulation of the dermis to rebuild, lifting action and regulating skin tone with minimal exfoliation of the epidermis.
PQage contains trichloroacetic acid (TCA, 33%), kojic acid (10%), urea peroxide (5%) and coenzyme Q10 (5%). Trichloroacetic acid is the strongest organic acid used for rejuvenating treatments causing peeling of the epidermis. It is recommended in the treatment of oily, mixed and acne-prone skins. It reduces seborrhea, reduces the amount of blackheads and inflammation. TCA is also recommended as an ingredient in rejuvenating treatments, reducing acne scars, discoloration and freckles. In a standard preparation such a high concentration of TCA would cause very strong exfoliation. In the PQage preparation the presence of urea peroxide causes that the treatment practically does not cause flaking of the epidermis. What instead? A strong revitalization of the deeper layers of skin.
Another substance that is found in the PQage preparation is kojic acid.
It is obtained from Aspergillus fungus and used primarily to remove pigmentation changes. The kojic acid inhibits the tyrosinase enzyme, which regulates melanin production. The use of products with kojic acid causes the process of formation of pigmentation changes. In addition to the depigmenting effect, the kojic acid is characterized by an antioxidant effect. In addition, the substance has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties. For this reason, kojic acid is used as a component of rejuvenating treatments. In the treatment of adult acne and hyperpigmented skins.
The urea peroxide mentioned above is another component of PQage. Urea peroxide has a primarily brightening effect. In turn, coenzyme Q10 is one of the most popular ingredients of revitalizing cosmetics and rejuvenating treatments. It is a strong antioxidant that reduces the activity of free radicals. In addition, it accelerates wound healing, reduces wrinkles and improves skin elasticity and firmness.
PQage treatment is an office therapy which results in visible results with minimal discomfort. The treatment stimulates deeper layers of the skin to a strong renewal, so fibroblasts produce more collagen and elastin. This in turn improves overall skin tone, increases elasticity and reduces scars. In addition, PQage evens out skin tone, brightens existing discolorations and inhibits the formation of new spots. This is especially important for aging skin because the amount of discoloration increases with age. Moreover, thanks to anti-inflammatory and antibacterial substances, PQage reduces acne and reduces blackheads. PQage is one of the most popular rejuvenating treatments in our Institute.
The treatment starts as a standard with a consultation that will help us decide whether there are indications or contraindications to perform.
Indications include enlarged sebaceous gland outlets, blackheads, single inflammation, discoloration of various origins, scars, stretch marks, seborrhea, smoker’s complexion, photoageing, limpness, loss of elasticity and firmness. Contraindications to perform a series of rejuvenating treatments with PQage are f.ex. interruption of epidermis continuity. Others: herpes in the active phase, skin irritation, allergy to the ingredients of the preparation, pregnancy and breastfeeding period. The use of vitamin A derivative therapy up to 6 months before the treatment. A week before the treatment, the skin within the treatment area should not be irritated. F.ex. by creams or acid tonics, it should not be peeled off with chemical peels, laser peeling or microdermabrasion. The treatment area should not be waxed until a week before the treatment, and any shaving of the beard should take place at the latest one day before the treatment.
After excluding contraindications, we move on to PQage.
After makeup removal the skin is thoroughly dried. Then a single vial of the product is opened and the layers of the product are applied. PQage is very strongly massaged, so as to maximally stimulate the skin to regenerate. The treatment ends with washing away the layers of the product and applying a cream with a filter. During the application of subsequent layers you can feel a burning sensation and warmth, but it is temporary. In order to maximize the potential of the product, PQage can be combined with micro-punching in one treatment procedure. The result of a richer procedure is a strong stimulation and remodeling of the epidermis. With the dermis and the reduction of scars and dilated sebaceous gland outlets. Micro-punctures are often used among many rejuvenating treatments. Unless the client has any contraindications (disorder of feeling and healing of the skin, skin inflammation).
PQage is best performed in a series of 3-5 rejuvenating treatments every 3 or 4 weeks (a longer interval is required for the procedure with micro-punctures). It is worth choosing this treatment, especially if we are looking for an effective alternative to laser treatments with a higher risk of complications.
