Use of Botox – botulinum toxin during hyperhidrosis treatments
The use of Botox in the treatment of hyperhidrosis is the best solution. The main advantage of this method of treatment is effective, as well as gives the possibility of blocking the work of specific sweat glands, which secrete sweat. This is made possible by performing test which clearly shows in which locations on the skin perspiration occurs. It is these points which after being injected with botulinum toxin after about 2 weeks stop secretion of sweat.
Botox or iontophoresis?
Botox, compared to once popular iontophoresis, works much better. Iontophoresis is only able to limit the operation of some of the sweat glands, not completely suppresses them and may not act exactly on the points that make the biggest problem.
