Medical consultation / dermatology for women

Your face — not a template, but an individual map

The conversation most often centres on skin quality and condition, and subtle correction that preserves a natural look. Women more often think holistically — about a plan, not a single treatment. This is the classic medical consultation for women, where we build a sequence, not a shopping list.

When it's worth it — indications

  • First time — you're considering aesthetic medicine but don't know where to start or what to expect.
  • A specific concern — one thing bothers you (wrinkles, facial contour, dark circles, skin quality) and you want to know which method truly addresses it.
  • A longer-term plan — you want a considered sequence of treatments instead of reacting treatment by treatment.
  • A second opinion — you already have experience but want a calm assessment and an honest recommendation.
  • Before a specific event — a wedding, a photo shoot, an important date — and you need a realistic timeline for what can settle in time.
  • A safety check — you take medication, have chronic conditions or allergies, and want to know what's suitable for you and what's better postponed.

The areas we work on

  1. skin quality, hydration, tone, fine lines;
  2. contour, firmness, an "opened-up" look to the eyes — a strategy, not a single shot;
  3. prevention and thinking a step ahead, rather than a last-minute correction;
  4. choosing methods around your lifestyle, calendar and acceptable recovery time.

Your face — not a template, but an individual map

Women's skin is dynamic: it changes with the hormonal cycle, and responds to contraception, pregnancy, menopause, stress and shifts in skincare. What looks like a wrinkle needing Botox can actually be a sign of dermal dehydration, or an early drop in facial contour — and each of those problems calls for a different solution. That's why a medical consultation isn't a formality before a treatment. It's the moment when the doctor looks at your face as a whole — proportions, firmness, skin thickness, how your expression moves — and only then builds a plan.

What sets female anatomy apart from male anatomy — and why it matters

The female face has thinner skin, less developed facial musculature, and greater hormonal variability than a man's face. This means:
A good consultation takes all of this into account — not just what the doctor observes, but what you notice yourself: whether your face looks different in the morning than in the evening, whether hyperpigmentation gets worse in summer, whether the eye area hollows faster when you're short on sleep.
  • Expression lines in women often appear earlier, and in different zones, than in men
  • Volume loss follows a different pattern — women lose it mainly in the cheeks and temples
  • The parameters of injectable treatments — depth, distribution, product volume — are chosen individually for your anatomy. There's no single standard scheme
  • Women's skin is more sensitive to oestrogen fluctuations, which affects hydration, pigmentation and elasticity

What women are actually looking for at a first visit

Most women who come to J'ADORE INSTYTUT for the first time don't arrive with one specific problem. They arrive with a sense that something has changed — the face looks different than it did a few years ago, more tired, less fresh, harder to cover with makeup. That's exactly the right moment for a consultation: before a problem develops that needs intervention rather than a touch-up.
The doctor isn't judging your appearance — they're assessing the condition of your skin and the anatomy of your face. A proposed treatment plan isn't a list of things to fix. It's a programme that lets you look the way you feel.

Hormones, your cycle and the consultation — when to come in

If your cycle is irregular, you're undergoing hormonal treatment, or you're planning a pregnancy — mention this to the doctor during the interview. Some aesthetic medicine treatments are postponed or adjusted depending on hormonal status. The consultation exists precisely so these factors can be taken into account in advance, not after the fact.
After pregnancy and breastfeeding, many women return to aesthetic medicine for the first time in months or years — this is a good moment for a full clinical assessment and an updated plan.

Frequently asked questions

Can I book a consultation if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
Yes — the consultation itself is safe at any stage. The doctor will discuss the condition of your skin with you and plan any treatments for after breastfeeding ends. Injectable treatments (botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid) and some laser and chemical treatments are postponed until lactation is finished — this is standard medical guidance, not a matter of caution.
I use retinol and acids — do I need to stop before the consultation?
Not for the consultation itself. Do tell the doctor about your current skincare, though — retinol and AHA/BHA acids affect the skin barrier and may require a break before certain treatments, particularly fractional and chemical ones. The doctor will factor this into your plan and tell you exactly how many days before a specific treatment to pause active ingredients.
I'm worried about looking "overdone" — how do I avoid that?
A natural result starts with a good plan, not with using a small amount of product. The doctor designs the outcome around your features and face shape — the goal is a harmonious look with your expression intact. If you have specific concerns (for example, "I don't want a raised brow"), say so directly — that's part of the interview, not a demand.
Can I wear makeup to the consultation?
You can come with makeup on, but the doctor will ask you to remove it before the clinical assessment — particularly around the eyes and lips. Skin is analysed without a layer of foundation, because only then can its real condition be seen: pigmentation, enlarged pores, fine vessels, texture.
I've already had a treatment elsewhere and I'm not happy with the result — is it worth coming in?
Absolutely. An unsatisfactory result from a previous treatment is one of the more common reasons people come to us for a first visit. The doctor will assess the current state of your tissue, explain what happened, and propose a correction or a new plan — without judging the previous practitioner, based solely on what they observe during the examination.
