Lash lift and lamination — treatment at J'adore Instytut

Lash lift and lamination

Your own lashes lifted from the root — a "24/7 mascara" effect with no extensions, no mascara, no daily curling.

BROWS & LASHES

Curled from the root
“mascara 24/7”

Straight, drooping lashes can "close" the eye and make it look smaller and more tired — even with mascara, which slips by the afternoon anyway. Lash lift and lamination lifts and curls your own lashes from the root, so the eye looks bigger and more open, and your gaze looks rested. This isn't lash extensions: we don't add anything artificial — we work only with what you already have.

The "24/7 mascara" effect lasts for a few weeks, and every morning you skip the whole eyelash-curler-and-mascara routine. At J'adore Instytut, the treatment is performed by a brow & lash stylist. Below you'll find everything worth knowing before your first visit.

  • Straight, drooping lashes
  • Tired of daily makeup
  • Active lifestyle
  • A natural look rather than "wow"
  • Less upkeep than extensions
  • A trial before extensions

How it works

How it works

A lash lift is a lasting (several-week) change to the shape of your natural lashes — from straight and drooping to lifted and curled from the root. The stylist places your lashes on a special silicone rod and sets their new shape with gentle products that "reset" the bonds in the hair structure. The result: the eye opens up optically, and your gaze looks bigger and more rested.

Lamination completes this process — a nourishing, setting layer that smooths the lash, deepens its colour, and makes it look thicker and better groomed. Today, "lift" and "lamination" are practically one combined treatment — we work only with your own lashes, adding nothing.

Three levels in cross-section: the outer cuticle of the hair, its interior beneath, and deepest of all the follicle right at the root. The formula loosens the bonds inside the hair, and the rod gives it a new shape. The skin of the eyelid is not the working area — we work on the hair itself.

Fun fact: a lift doesn't add a single lash — yet the eye still looks "fuller". It's pure optics: straight lashes fall onto the eyelid and hide part of the eye, while lashes lifted from the root reveal more of the iris and catch more light. Same lashes, completely different gaze.

Ideal for

Ideal for

  1. Straight, drooping lashesthat "hide" the eye and won't hold a curl from an eyelash curler.
  2. Tired of daily makeupwhen you want to skip the eyelash curler and mascara but still have the effect from the moment you wake up.
  3. Active lifestyleswimming, gym, holidays, sauna; lashes stay curled with no smudged mascara.
  4. A natural look rather than "wow"you'd rather it looked like you simply look good, not like you've "done something" to your lashes.
  5. Less upkeep than extensionsno fills every few weeks and no special washing routine.
  6. A trial before extensionsyou want to test an "open" gaze before committing to lash extensions.
  7. A lift looks beautiful on medium and long lashes. If your lashes are very short or sparse, the stylist will tell you during your visit whether a lift or lash extensions would suit you better — without promising results that aren't realistic.

Women's and men's variants

What result to expect

For her

Lashes that work for you — even when you do nothing

In practice, this is largely a women's treatment, and this is where it really comes into its own. The aim of a lash lift for women is an open, fresh-looking gaze and a "24/7 mascara" effect — with the option of choosing colour depth and degree of lift to suit your eye shape.

The areas we support

  1. lift from the root + lamination for a thicker, glossier look;
  2. optional + tinting — a darker, more defined effect without mascara;
  3. optional + conditioner ("lash Botox") — repair and hydration of the lash;
  4. choice of rod S / M / L — from a subtle lift to a strong, "doll-lash" curl.
For him

A look that says: rested, present, ready

A lash lift isn't just a women's treatment. For men, it's about subtly lifting straight, drooping lashes — without tinting and without a "made-up" look. It's lash styling for men: the gaze looks more rested, but no one can point to "what's changed".

The areas we support

  1. a gentle lift from the root — "opening up" a tired-looking gaze;
  2. usually an S rod (the gentlest lift), with no tinting;
  3. a natural, matte effect — no shine and no "mascara look";
  4. zero downtime — a meeting or work straight after your visit is no problem.

A quick tip: the same method works on brows too — that's brow lamination, a "lift" for unruly brow hairs that sets them flat and keeps them in place. A popular pairing: brow lamination + lash lift in one visit.

Patch test

Why we don't skip it

Lash lift and lamination use chemical products (to set the shape) and — in the colouring version — lash tint. These are cosmetics that are safe and widely used, but we work with them right next to the eye, so at your first visit we always carry out a patch test.

  1. How it workswe apply a small amount of the product/tint to a discreet spot (such as behind the ear or the inside of the elbow) and observe the skin's reaction.
  2. Whyto rule out an allergic reaction before the product goes anywhere near the eye, where the skin is most delicate.
  3. Whenideally in advance of your first treatment; for later visits, if nothing has changed, it doesn't need repeating.
Red flag: a salon that skips the patch test

If, at your first lash lift or tinting appointment, no one offers a patch test — that's a warning sign. You have every right to ask for one and to ask what products the salon uses. A good, conscientious salon doesn't treat this as an unnecessary formality — because this is the eye area, not ordinary skin.

Contraindications

When to postpone your visit

A lash lift is a gentle cosmetic service, but a few situations are a sign to simply postpone the treatment — until everything is back to normal.

We don't perform it
  • Eye infection or inflammationconjunctivitis, a stye, purulent irritation; we wait until it has healed.
  • Irritated or damaged eyelid skinabrasions, eczema, fresh wounds around the eye.
  • A known allergyto lash tints or lift products — in this case we start with a patch test (and skip colouring if there's a reaction).
  • Very short, weak or heavily thinned lashesthe effect may be minimal; the stylist will suggest an alternative.
  • A recent treatment near the eye(such as eyelid PMU) — we wait until it's fully healed.
  • Contact lenseswe remove them for the treatment; you put them back in afterwards.

The good news

A lift doesn't break the skin and needs no recovery time — it's one of the most pleasant, least "invasive" services we offer. With healthy eyes and a patch test done in advance, it's simply a relaxing visit with an immediate result.

This isn't a full list — if you have any concerns about the condition of your eyes or lashes, mention it to your stylist at the start of the visit. We'll work out the safest option or timing together.

The visit

What to expect during your visit

  1. Lash lift and lamination — treatment at J'adore Instytut — A brief chat and rod selection

A brief chat and rod selection

the stylist assesses your lash length and condition, along with your eye shape, and chooses the degree of lift (rod S / M / L) and any extras: tinting, conditioner.

  2. Lash lift and lamination — treatment at J'adore Instytut — Preparation

    Preparation

you lie comfortably with your eyes closed for the whole visit; your lower lashes are protected, and your upper lashes are placed on a silicone rod attached to the eyelid.

  3. Lash lift and lamination — treatment at J'adore Instytut — Setting the shape

    Setting the shape

we apply a series of products that "reset" the lash into its new, lifted shape. This is the stage where you simply relax with your eyes closed.

  4. Lash lift and lamination — treatment at J'adore Instytut — Tinting and conditioning (optional)

    Tinting and conditioning (optional)

if you've chosen tinting and a conditioner, we apply them now; lashes gain a deeper colour and a smoother finish.

  5. Lash lift and lamination — treatment at J'adore Instytut — Combing and finishing

    Combing and finishing

we remove the rod, comb through your lashes and show you the result in a mirror. You leave with a finished look — no marks, no bandages.

What to expect

And how to care for your lashes afterwards

The key thing: you see the result immediately after your visit. There's no waiting, unlike with medical treatments — you leave with your lashes already lifted. What matters is the first 24 hours, during which the lashes "memorise" their freshly set shape.

  1. Faza 1.immediatelylashes lifted and curled — the "mascara" effect is visible as soon as you leave the salon
  2. Faza 2.first 24 hoursthe shape is setting — avoid wetting, rubbing, mascara and sauna
  3. Faza 3.following daysyou return to your full daily routine — makeup, swimming, everything with no restrictions
  4. Faza 4.a few weeksthe effect fades gradually as lashes naturally renew — time for a repeat visit
The most common "mistake" on day one is instinctively rubbing an eye or taking a hot shower straight onto the face. Nothing serious happens to the lashes, but the result may end up weaker than it could be. One day of care — and the lift holds for the full few weeks.
From the stylist's chair

The whole visit is a relaxing experience with your eyes closed — many clients even doze off. There's no needling, no pain — at most a cool sensation from the product near the eyelid.

  1. Wetting and water

    for the first 24 hours

On the first day, avoid wetting your lashes — no shower directly on the face, no swimming, no rain straight in the eyes. Water on freshly set lashes can loosen the shape before it fully stabilises.

  2. Sauna, steam, hot baths

    wait ~2 days

Hot steam and high temperatures loosen a fresh lift. It's best to postpone sauna, hammam and long hot baths for the first 1–2 days.

  3. Mascara

    skip it on day one

Skip mascara for the first 24 hours — you won't need it anyway, since your lashes are already lifted. After that, if you'd like to use mascara, choose a non-waterproof formula.

  4. Rubbing and sleeping on your face

be gentle on the first night

Avoid rubbing your eyes, and try not to sleep face-down on the first night — this can bend the freshly set lashes in one direction.

  5. Oil-free makeup removal

    from the following day

Oils and oily micellar waters can shorten how long a lift lasts. Choose a gentle, oil-free makeup remover — the result will last longer.

  6. Lash conditioner / serum

regularly, after the first 24 hours

A daily conditioner repairs and hydrates the lashes, keeps them in good condition, and helps maintain a great result until your next visit.

Lash lift and lamination

Frequently asked questions

  1. QuestionWhat's the difference between a lift and lash extensions?
AnswerA lift curls your own lashes from the root — we don't add anything, so the result is natural and needs little maintenance. Extensions are false lashes glued on: a "wow" effect, with length and thickness, but with regular fills needed. Lift = your lashes, better shaped; extensions = new, longer lashes.
  2. QuestionHow long does the result last?
AnswerUsually a few weeks — until your lashes naturally shed and regrow straight at the root. How long it lasts depends on your lash growth cycle and home care (oil-free makeup removal, conditioner).
  3. QuestionIs the result visible straight away?
AnswerYes — you leave the salon with your lashes already lifted and ready. That's one of the biggest advantages of a lift: there's no waiting for the result to develop.
  4. QuestionWill my lashes look fake?
AnswerThat depends on the rod chosen. A gentle rod (S) gives a subtle, natural lift; a stronger one (L) gives a bold, "doll-lash" effect. You choose deliberately together with your stylist, based on your eye shape and personal taste.
