A treatment room at J'adoreMICROPIGMENTATION (PMU)
Drawing your brows every day with a pencil, filling them in with gel or pomade, constantly checking the mirror — and that moment when one brow "disappears" after a swim or a workout. Permanent eyebrow makeup puts an end to all of that.
Brow PMU is the gentle deposit of pigment into the epidermis, so brows look fuller, more even and ready from the moment you wake up — while still looking natural, not like a drawn-on line. Well-executed PMU doesn't shout "done". It adds density and structure, and you simply look well-rested. At J'adore Instytut, the treatment is performed by a qualified linergist. Here's the key point few people mention: the technique and colour are matched to your skin type. What looks beautiful on dry skin can blur on oily skin. Below you'll find everything worth knowing before your first visit — including the honest truth about healing and fading.
1 session + mandatory touch-up after approx. 4–6 weeks
How it works
Brow PMU is micropigmentation — your linergist uses fine needles to deposit pigment into the superficial layer of the brow skin, recreating individual hair strokes or building soft shading. This is not a tattoo in the classic sense: the pigment sits more shallowly and is specifically chosen to fade in a natural direction over time, rather than remaining a hard, bluish line for years.
The result is long-lasting, but not permanent — and that's an advantage. Brow trends change, your face changes, and colour gently fades over time. That's why we treat PMU as makeup for "a season of life": it typically lasts a year or more, and we then refresh it with a new design suited to how you look now.

Good to know: Brow PMU is the most commonly performed permanent makeup treatment in the world — more so than lips or eyeliner. The reason is simple: brows "make" a face. Symmetrical, well-groomed brows can open up your look and take years off it more effectively than many skin treatments — and the effect is there every morning, no pencil required.
Ideal for
What brow PMU *won't* do: it won't thicken your own hairs (it's pigment, not a growth treatment), it won't stop fading forever, and it doesn't replace consultation — we always match shape and colour to your face, complexion and skin type, never "off the shelf".
Women's and men's brow PMU
Brow PMU is primarily a domain for women, and this is where we design most fully. Permanent brows for women most often aim to add density, even out shape and gently lift the arch — so the eyes "open up" and your morning routine loses a step. We match arch, colour and technique to your features, complexion and the way you wear everyday makeup.
The areas we support
For men, we approach brow PMU discreetly, keeping the shape unmistakably "masculine" — the goal is completion, not drawing a new brow. This is permanent brows for men: help with sparse brows, scars, hair loss or alopecia (patchy hair loss), so the result stays unnoticeable as a treatment.
The areas we support
Longevity and refreshing
Brow PMU is an investment for a season of life, not a permanent tattoo — and it's worth thinking of it that way. Pigment deposited in the epidermis naturally fades over time, and you decide whether to refresh it.
Why "forever" is a myth. Skin exfoliates and regenerates, and cosmetic pigment is deliberately chosen to fade in a natural direction — this protects you from a rigid, outdated line for life. Honest PMU ages gracefully and can be refreshed — it doesn't stay "permanent".
Safety
PMU breaks the skin and stays with you for a long time — so several things determine the result and its safety, and are worth asking about at any salon:
At J'adore, brow PMU is performed by a qualified linergist, using single-use or fully sterilised equipment, with pigments from legal, certified suppliers.
A good linergist assesses your skin before suggesting microblading — and will advise against it on oily or vascular skin. This isn't about selling the trendiest method, but the one that will age well on you.
Pigment is assessed for how it will fade — a tone that's too dark or too cool can turn grey, pink or greenish over the years. It's better to start subtly and finish the colour at the touch-up.

Contraindications
Brow PMU breaks the skin, so some contraindications are permanent and others are temporary — in which case we simply postpone the treatment until the situation resolves.
From the linergist's chair
The most commonly overlooked issue: cold sores. I often hear "I only get them on my lips, and we're doing brows — that shouldn't matter, right?" Unfortunately, it does — an active virus is a risk regardless of where it appears, so we postpone the treatment by a few days. It's better to wait than to heal PMU on irritated skin.
This isn't a complete list — we'll review your medications, skin conditions and previous treatments (including any earlier PMU) individually during consultation.

The visit

Consultation and discussion
your linergist assesses your skin type, natural brows, complexion and expectations, and rules out contraindications. This is when we choose the technique (microblading vs ombré/powder vs hybrid).

Design and preliminary sketch
we first draw the proposed shape with a dry pencil. Nothing proceeds until you approve the shape in the mirror. It's your decision.

Colour selection
pigment matched to your complexion and hair colour; we always aim for a warmer, soft tone, since cool pigments can drift towards grey or pink over time.

Pigmentation
pigment is deposited using the chosen technique. The area is usually numbed with a topical anaesthetic; the sensation is more scratching/vibration than sharp pain.

Aftercare guidance
you leave with a clear healing plan and (usually) a regenerating ointment.
Touch-up after approximately 4–6 weeks
a mandatory, planned stage: we finish the colour and shape once healing is complete. Without it, the treatment isn't finished.
What to expect
Most important: don't judge what you see in the mirror right after the treatment. Brow PMU goes through several stages before showing its true colour — and the middle of that journey can be stressful if no one has warned you.
The most common message I get is: "I think it's all gone, I can barely see my brows." This always happens in the second week, and it's completely normal. The skin simply covers the pigment during healing — colour returns after about 3–4 weeks. That's why we never judge the result before the touch-up.

For the first few days, don't get your brows wet — no sauna, swimming pool, long hot baths or heavy sweating. Water and steam soften the scabs and rinse out fresh pigment.
This is key: don't pick or scratch off the scabs. Pigment comes away with the scab, leaving a "gap" in the colour. Let them fall off on their own.
Apply the regenerating ointment to your brows exactly as your linergist advises — a thin layer with clean hands. Don't apply products containing acids or retinol to the brows until fully healed.
Avoid intense sun and tanning beds during healing. Once healed, daily SPF 50+ on the brows is the best way to slow colour fading.
We postpone intense training and heavy sweating for the first few days of healing — sweat, like water, doesn't help fresh pigment.
Don't apply pencil or pomade to your brows, and don't apply makeup directly to the area, until fully healed. After that, you return to normal life — though usually... you won't need to draw your brows anymore.
The result lasts a long time, but fades naturally — over time, the colour becomes lighter and softer. This isn't a flaw, it's a feature of PMU: once the brow has faded, you refresh it with a new design suited to how you look then. The rate of fading depends on skin type, sun exposure and aftercare, among other factors.

Information. Permanent eyebrow makeup (PMU) is an aesthetic treatment that deposits pigment into the epidermis/skin; the result is long-lasting (typically a year or more, requiring periodic refreshing), fades naturally and is not permanent "forever". This is not a medical treatment. A touch-up/re-pigmentation after approximately 4–6 weeks is standard. The information above is provided for general guidance. Indications, technique and colour selection, and contraindications are determined by a qualified linergist during consultation.
