Kobido massage for women

Your face has its own anatomy — and Kobido takes it into account

The goal is most often a natural lift, radiance and reshaping of the facial oval plus a reduction in morning puffiness. Women's skin tends to be thinner, and a common topic is also a glow before an event and maintaining the effects of aesthetic medicine. This is a classic Kobido massage for women.

When it's worth it — indications

  • Sagging contour and a blurred jawline — when the shape of the face "softens" with age.
  • Loss of firmness and elasticity — mature skin that needs natural collagen stimulation.
  • Expression lines — forehead, crow's feet, nasolabial folds (lines from movement, not static folds).
  • Grey, fatigued skin with no radiance — when you "look tired" despite resting.
  • Swelling and puffiness — especially in the morning, plus dark circles and under-eye shadows.
  • Tense masseters and bruxism — jaw clenching, teeth grinding, tension headaches.
  • Stress visible on the face — tense muscles, a furrowed brow, tight lips.
  • Preparation for an event — wedding, photo shoot, gala — a natural glow without intervention.
  • Maintaining results from other treatments — complementing an anti-ageing programme, prevention from around age 25–35.

The areas we work on

  1. lifting sagging cheeks and defining the contour;
  2. reducing swelling, dark circles and "morning puffiness";
  3. smoothing of fine expression lines, brightening;
  4. anti-ageing prevention and extending the results of mesotherapy or laser therapy.

Your face has its own anatomy — and Kobido takes it into account

Women's skin is, statistically, thinner and richer in oestrogen receptors than men's skin. This means faster collagen loss after age 30 and greater susceptibility to expression lines. Add to that decades of micro-expressions — every smile, every squint, every furrowed brow — built into the muscle and fascial tissue of the face. Kobido takes this anatomy into account: techniques are chosen based on skin thickness, the strength of individual muscle groups and your individual tension pattern. There's no single sequence for everyone — there's a sequence tailored to your face.
We pay particular attention to the areas where fatigue and time show first: the eye area (the orbicularis oculi muscle — responsible for crow's feet and drooping eyelids), the nasolabial fold (the levator labii and buccinator muscles), and the jawline (the first place where loss of elasticity changes facial contour). Working on these zones isn't general stimulation — it's precise work on specific anatomical structures.

Kobido instead of aesthetic medicine — or alongside it

Many women use invasive and non-invasive treatments at the same time — and that is a sensible approach. Kobido does not compete with aesthetic medicine, but enhances its effects and extends the time between sessions. A few tried-and-tested combinations:
The dosing of preparations and the parameters of accompanying treatments are always personalised to your anatomy and goals — Kobido fits into that same way of thinking.
  • After mesotherapy or plasma: when active cocktails are working in the skin, Kobido (performed with a safe 2-week interval) improves circulation and the distribution of active substances in the tissues — the ingredients reach deeper and work more effectively.
  • Between Botox sessions: massage normalises the tension of muscles not blocked by the toxin, evens out tension asymmetries and stimulates collagen — areas that Botox does not affect.
  • As a standalone strategy: for women who consciously choose a needle-free path, Kobido is one of the most effective manual anti-ageing tools available.

A glow that lasts longer than one evening

Most often, women come for Kobido before an important event — and that's a good starting point. The immediate effect is striking: radiant skin, a more defined contour, reduced dark circles, a relaxed face. But Kobido's real strength lies in regularity. A series of 6–10 sessions every 1–2 weeks is an investment whose results build over time: gradual improvement in collagen synthesis, lasting contour definition, reduced depth of folds. Mature skin — past 45, past 55 — responds surprisingly strongly to this stimulation, because mechanically activating fibroblasts works regardless of oestrogen levels.
After the series, maintenance sessions once a month are enough to keep the effect. It's an economical approach to facial care that needs neither recovery time nor downtime.

Kobido, home care and your daily rhythm

Kobido fits into your skincare routine — it doesn't replace it. A few things worth knowing:
  • Immediately after the treatment, skin absorbs active ingredients far more intensively — it's the best moment to apply a good serum (hyaluronic acid, peptides, vitamin C).
  • If you use retinol or acids in your home care routine, tell your therapist — the intensity of the massage can be adjusted to the current state of your skin barrier.
  • For 24 hours after the treatment, avoid intense physical activity that raises body temperature (hot yoga, sauna) — stimulated skin needs time to stabilise its microcirculation.
  • Mild redness after the treatment is a normal response to intense stimulation — it fades within a few hours. Plan your Kobido session the day before an important event, not on the day itself.

Frequently asked questions

Can I book Kobido if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
During pregnancy, Kobido facial massage isn't recommended — because of the intense stimulation of acupressure points, which may affect muscle tension and the nervous system. While breastfeeding, the treatment is generally possible, but an individual consultation with your therapist is always required before booking. Safety comes first — tell us about your situation when you book.
I use retinol and acids in my skincare. Do I need to stop before the treatment?
You don't need to stop permanently, but it's worth taking a two- or three-day break before Kobido — especially if you use higher concentrations. Skin actively exfoliated by retinoids or AHA/BHA acids is more sensitive to intense mechanical stimulation. Tell your therapist about your routine — she'll adjust the intensity of the techniques to your skin's current condition.
Will Kobido give results that are visible without makeup?
Yes — and that's one of the reasons women keep coming back. Right after the treatment, skin looks radiant, the contour is more defined and skin tone is more even — no foundation needed. After a series of sessions, this improvement in tone and texture is lasting and visible bare-faced. The massage improves microcirculation and lymphatic drainage — the foundations of healthy-looking skin.
I'm worried the effect will be too obvious — does Kobido change facial features?
Kobido doesn't change your features — it restores structure. The massage normalises muscle tension and improves drainage, so your face looks like the best version of itself: rested, expressive, full of energy. No pulled lines, no "just had a treatment" look. The effect is subtle enough that most women hear: "You look great — what's different?"
Can I combine Kobido with a body treatment on the same day?
Yes — and it is one of our favourite combinations. Kobido for the face plus a relaxing or regenerating massage for the body make a complete ritual that works on two levels at once: the face will regain its glow and lifting, while the body releases tension. Many clients plan such a double session once a month as a conscious anti-stress and anti-age tool.
