Retises CT — retinol for women

Why women choose Retises

For women, the retinol peel is most often the answer to the first wrinkles, loss of firmness and hyperpigmentation — after 30, after summer, after pregnancy (hormonal pigmentation). Retises smooths, evens out tone and "densifies" the skin, and it usually covers not just the face but the neck and décolletage too — the zones that reveal age fastest. We usually run it as a series, in the cooler months.
Czas
The application in the salon is short — a few dozen minutes including skin preparation. The product itself keeps working on the skin for several to a dozen or so hours afterwards, at home.
Efekt
Smoothing and radiance become visible once the flaking resolves. Wrinkle reduction, hyperpigmentation fading and firmness improve, and these effects build up and settle over the series.
Regeneracja
A few days of light, fine flaking follow. Most people go about their normal routine — the flaking is usually easy to conceal.
Seria
Best results come from a series of 4–6 sessions every 2–4 weeks (outside the summer season), followed by seasonal maintenance.

When it's worth it — indications

  • Wrinkles and early signs of ageing — retinol boosts collagen synthesis and speeds up renewal, smoothing fine and medium wrinkles. This is the main indication for Retises.
  • Loss of firmness and skin tone — the retinol peel improves skin density and "bounce", working on ageing from within.
  • Hyperpigmentation — sun-induced, post-inflammatory and some hormonal marks; retinol evens out tone and speeds up the shedding of discoloured epidermis.
  • Scars and post-acne unevenness — smoother texture and improved tone in acne-marked skin.
  • Grey, tired skin lacking radiance — epidermal renewal restores freshness and glow.
  • Photo-ageing — skin with visible sun damage: uneven tone, roughness, loss of freshness.
  • Skin with enlarged pores and uneven texture — retinol "refines" the skin's surface.

The areas we work on

  1. the first wrinkles, loss of firmness and skin "bounce";
  2. sun-induced and hormonal hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone;
  3. the full face + neck + décolletage set — comprehensive rejuvenation;
  4. grey, tired skin — epidermal renewal and glow "for winter".

Why women choose Retises

The first wrinkle appears unnoticed. Loss of firmness follows — the skin responds more slowly, feels less "taut". Then come the hyperpigmentation marks: sun spots after years of summer holidays, hormonal patches after pregnancy, small irregularities that makeup finds harder and harder to cover. This is exactly the moment when a serum alone stops being enough, and the search begins for something that really works — without weeks of recovery.
Retises CT answers precisely this need: deep skin renewal with predictable, manageable downtime. A few days of fine flaking, easy to conceal, followed by skin that is noticeably smoother, brighter and more radiant.

Women's skin, women's goals

Women's skin is typically thinner and loses collagen faster after the age of 30 — which is exactly why Retises fits so precisely here. Retinol boosts collagen synthesis and speeds up cell turnover exactly where ageing begins earliest:
During your consultation, the cosmetologist assesses your skin's condition and phototype to choose the right variant and strength — often starting more gently the first time, to check your skin's tolerance.
  • The skin around the eyes and mouth — the first expression lines, thin epidermis sensitive to collagen loss; the treatment is planned with these zones in mind
  • Neck and décolletage — zones that often reveal age before the face does; the most common option is face + neck + décolletage as one complete anti-ageing treatment
  • Hormonal hyperpigmentation — after pregnancy or hormonal changes, skin tone becomes uneven; retinol speeds up the turnover of discoloured epidermis and evens out the shade
  • Tired, grey skin — epidermal renewal restores the glow that fades through years of stress, poor sleep and urban environments

Flaking — what it actually looks like

This is the most common question, and the biggest concern. The concrete answer: the flaking is fine, not dramatic. It appears only after 2–4 days and usually lasts a few days. During this time the skin feels slightly tight and dry — this is when we focus on intensive hydration and SPF. Most women go about their normal routine; with a little care, the flaking is easy to conceal.
Key planning rule: leave at least 5–7 days between the treatment and an important event (a wedding, a photoshoot, a presentation). Booked with enough lead time, the treatment gives you exactly what you're after — radiance after the flaking has resolved, not flaking during the evening.

Series and season — how it works in practice

One session refreshes the skin beautifully, and it shows to the naked eye. But real progress on wrinkles, firmness and pigmentation builds over a series — usually 4–6 sessions every 2–4 weeks. We prefer to run the series in autumn and winter, because retinol makes the skin more sensitive to sun, and summer without disciplined SPF could give the opposite of the intended result.
After the series, results are maintained with less frequent maintenance sessions and the right home care — including gentle retinol, introduced gradually under a cosmetologist's guidance.

Frequently asked questions

Will Retises help with pregnancy-related pigmentation, or only wrinkles?
Retises evens out skin tone and speeds up the shedding of discoloured epidermis, so it noticeably improves skin after pregnancy — sun-related pigmentation and some post-inflammatory marks respond well. However, melasma (deeper, hormonal patches) may need a separate approach: depigmentation such as Cosmelan or Dermamelan. At your consultation, the cosmetologist will assess whether Retises is enough, or whether a broader plan is needed.
Can I have Retises while breastfeeding?
No — retinol (a vitamin A derivative) is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding. We postpone the treatment until after breastfeeding has ended. This is a strict rule, not just caution.
Can I apply makeup straight after the treatment — I have an important evening out?
It's best to skip makeup that same day and let the skin rest. During the flaking days, foundation can collect on the peeling skin, giving the opposite of the intended effect. If you have an evening event, plan the treatment a few days ahead, so you go out glowing after the flaking has resolved — not during it.
Can Retises be combined with the home retinol I already use?
Not while the skin is actively flaking after the treatment. We pause home retinol, strong acids and coarse scrubs during this period, because applying actives to freshly flaked skin is a straightforward path to irritation. Once the flaking resolves, we reintroduce your home retinol gradually, as agreed with your cosmetologist. Over a series, Retises and home retinol can complement each other — the cosmetologist sets the pace.
How many sessions in a series do I need for visible wrinkle improvement?
The first smoothing and radiance become visible as soon as the flaking resolves after your first session. Real wrinkle improvement and firmer skin build up over a series — usually 4–6 sessions every 2–4 weeks. The cosmetologist tailors the plan to your skin: wrinkle depth, phototype and goal. One session is a good reset; wrinkles need a series.
