Lash extensions for women

Your lashes, your rules — no mascara in the background

This is mainly a treatment for women — and most of this section is written for you. Lash extensions for women usually mean a full eye styling: we choose the method (1:1, Russian, Hollywood), the curl (from soft to strongly curled) and the lengths to enhance your eye shape — lifting a drooping eyelid, "opening up" a round eye, or elongating an almond shape.

When it's worth it — indications

  • You want to save time in the morning — no mascara, no curler, no touch-ups during the day.
  • You have light, short or sparse lashes — extensions give the density and colour mascara can only imitate.
  • You can't stand panda eyes — after a workout, a swim, a sauna or a good cry, your lashes stay intact.
  • You wear glasses or contact lenses — full lashes nicely "open up" the eye without fighting with mascara.
  • You have an occasion — a wedding, a photo shoot, an all-inclusive holiday, anywhere you want to look fresh without eye makeup.
  • You like a dramatic effect — then we aim for Russian Volume or Hollywood.
  • You want something subtle — classic 1:1 is enough, or there's an alternative that doesn't involve extensions at all (see below: lash lift).

The areas we work on

  1. 1:1 classic — natural, everyday fill;
  2. Russian Volume (2:1 / 3:1) — visible, lightweight volume;
  3. Hollywood / Mega Volume — full, dramatic effect for special occasions;
  4. cat-eye or doll-eye effect — shaped through length and curl.

Your lashes, your rules — no mascara in the background

Women's lashes vary in anatomy — density distribution, natural curve, growth-phase length — all of which matter when choosing a technique and fibres. That's why an effect that looks beautiful on Instagram isn't always what your eyes actually need. Monika assesses your eye shape, lash condition and everyday style, and only then chooses the technique and parameters: thickness, length and curl of the extensions.

What no mascara can do

Natural 1:1 works like the perfect mascara you never have to apply. Russian Volume builds density that stays put without curling or pressing. For anyone who likes a ready-to-go look the moment they wake up — no fifteen minutes in front of the mirror — this is a change you notice every morning. The effect doesn't fade after a shower or smudge on a hot day.

Lashes that work with your skin

If you use retinol, acids or an active eye serum, tell Monika before the treatment. Some active ingredients speed up skin cell turnover and can affect how long the adhesive lasts. That's not a reason to skip extensions — it's a reason to plan them properly. The same goes for makeup: eyeshadow, eyeliner and cream products around the eyes are still fine, but oil-based makeup remover needs to be swapped for an oil-free foam. That's the extent of the change to your routine.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and other special circumstances

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, many women pay closer attention to product ingredients. The cyanoacrylate adhesive used for extensions works locally and isn't absorbed into the bloodstream — but every decision at this time is yours and your doctor's to make. Monika is happy to discuss any concerns during a free consultation — no pressure, no ready-made answers for you.

Frequently asked questions

Do extensions look natural with light, blonde lashes?
Yes — and light lashes are actually where the effect is most striking. We choose fibres in a shade darker than your natural lashes, which immediately adds depth to your look. We can go black or brown-black, depending on your colouring. Light lashes hold adhesive well and rarely have condition issues, so we can usually go straight for the full technique.
Can I wear eyeliner and eyeshadow with lash extensions?
Yes, eye makeup is fine. It's important to avoid products with oils and waxes — especially waterproof formulas — as they weaken the adhesive. Powder eyeshadow, water-based felt-tip eyeliner and eyeshadow primer all work well. Waterproof gel eyeliner needs stronger makeup removal, which can shorten how long the extensions last.
Can I use a sauna or swimming pool after getting lash extensions?
After 48 hours from the treatment — yes. The adhesive needs time to fully cure, so we avoid hot steam, swimming pools and heavy sweating for the first two days. After that, you can use the sauna and pool as normal — just gently pat lashes dry and comb them with a brush after getting out of the water.
How often do I need fills, and is it costly to maintain?
We recommend fills every 2–3 weeks — this rhythm is healthier for your natural lashes than less frequent, but full, treatments. If your lashes have a longer growth cycle (some women shed lashes more slowly), you may be able to space fills as far as every 3–4 weeks. Monika will assess this individually after your first visit.
Do extensions weaken my natural lashes?
With the right parameters and regular fills — no. What matters is that the fibres aren't too heavy for your natural lash, and that you don't pull extensions off yourself. That's exactly why we don't perform the treatment without a consultation — Monika assesses lash condition and chooses fibre thickness to suit them, not the other way round.
