Accent (Alma Accent Reform) for women

Skin after pregnancy and weight loss — why diet alone isn't enough

For women, the most common reason is lax skin after pregnancy or weight loss, along with cellulite. Stretched skin (on the abdomen, thighs, knees) loses firmness, and weight loss alone doesn't reverse that. This is classic Accent for women — firming and contouring wherever the issue is skin quality, not just fat.

When it's worth it — indications

  • Lax abdominal skin — after pregnancy or significant weight loss, when the skin hasn't kept pace with the change in body shape.
  • Love handles and muffin top — localised areas that resist diet.
  • Arms ("bat wings") — loose skin on the inner arm.
  • Thighs, knees and buttocks — laxity, lack of firmness, soft skin.
  • Cellulite — improved texture and appearance of "orange peel" skin.
  • Sagging facial contour — laxity in the cheeks, jawline, "hamster cheeks".
  • Neck and chin — lax neck skin, double chin.
  • Nasolabial folds and marionette lines — as part of an energy facelift.

The areas we work on

  1. abdomen after pregnancy, stretch marks, lax skin around the navel;
  2. thighs, knees and buttocks — firming and contour improvement;

Skin after pregnancy and weight loss — why diet alone isn't enough

Many women who have lost weight or bounced back after pregnancy face the same issue: the number on the scale looks good, training is going well — but the skin on the abdomen, thighs or inner arms looks like it hasn't caught up with the change in body shape. This isn't a result of neglect. Skin stretched during pregnancy, or skin left behind after major weight loss, loses firmness because the collagen fibres themselves change — and no amount of training or lotion reverses that. Accent (RF) steps in exactly at this point. It delivers heat deep into the collagen-rich layer and stimulates the skin to rebuild from within.
The most common areas for women are the abdomen (especially around the navel and the lower abdomen after pregnancy), thighs and knees (soft, sagging skin on the inner and front thigh), arms — that characteristic laxity under the arm — and the buttocks. Add to that cellulite, which can be visible even on a lean frame.
A series of Accent sessions on these areas isn't surgery, and it isn't weight loss. It's precise firming and improved skin tone in areas that have already changed shape. The result: smoother texture, better contour, skin that holds its shape.

Facial contour, neck and décolletage — a lift without needles

In women, an Accent facial treatment is usually the answer to: sagging cheeks and jawline, a lax neck, a mild double chin, and the first lines around the mouth or nose. Facial skin is thinner than body skin, so gentler parameters are used here — but the mechanism is the same. Heat contracts existing collagen (immediate tightening) and stimulates new collagen formation (an effect that builds over weeks).
The facial result is subtle and natural — no frozen expression, no obvious signs of a treatment. This is an energy lift, not a transformation. That's the point: you look rested and like yourself, just with a more defined contour.

Time pressure — when to start before a wedding, holiday or photoshoot

The most common mistake is starting a series a week before a big event. Accent's final result builds over the weeks following the last session — collagen forms gradually, not instantly. If you're working towards a specific date:
During your consultation, the cosmetologist will assess your skin and tell you plainly what's realistic in your timeframe.
  • A body series (4–6 sessions) needs several months of lead time so the final firming effect is fully visible on the day.
  • A facial series (3–5 sessions) — at least 8–10 weeks before the date.
  • Maintenance sessions every few months help extend the result, especially if your weight stays stable.

Frequently asked questions

Will Accent help with stretch marks?
Accent doesn't remove stretch marks — it works on the firmness and quality of the dermis. It may improve the appearance and texture of the surrounding skin, but it doesn't eliminate discolouration or the lines of the stretch marks themselves. If stretch marks are your main concern, ask during your consultation about treatments designed specifically for that.
I have cellulite — is one session enough?
No. Cellulite is a structural change in the tissue that requires a series, and often a combination of methods. Accent improves skin appearance and firmness, but best results appear after several sessions, supported by lymphatic drainage or Emtone. Your cosmetologist will build a plan during your consultation.
Can I have Accent while breastfeeding?
No — breastfeeding is a contraindication for RF treatment. Get back in touch once you've finished breastfeeding, and we'll plan your series.
I want to firm my abdomen after pregnancy but also reduce some fat around my sides — what should I choose?
This is a common combination. If the issue has two layers — localised fat plus lax skin — the cosmetologist may suggest a plan: reduction first (for example, cryolipolysis for the sides), then Accent to firm the skin that remains. Your consultation determines the order — don't do both at once without a plan.
Do I need to avoid exercise after the treatment?
Quite the opposite — physical activity supports the contouring effect. Just skip very intense exercise that same day if your skin is still red. From the next day, there are no restrictions.
