DermaQuest for women

Why women's skin reacts differently

The most common goals are lightening hyperpigmentation, brightening grey skin and gentle rejuvenation, all while keeping the skin comfortable. We often combine protocols: brightening and hydrating ones in summer, stronger peels in autumn. These are classic DermaQuest treatments for women.

When it's worth it — indications

  • Grey, tired skin without radiance — when skin looks dull and a cream no longer makes a difference.
  • Hyperpigmentation — sun-related, post-acne (PIH), hormonal; uneven skin tone.
  • Acne-prone and breakout-prone skin — including oily skin with enlarged pores.
  • First signs of ageing — fine lines, loss of elasticity, dullness.
  • Mature skin — needing intensive regeneration and density rebuilding.
  • Dehydrated skin — with disrupted hydration and a weakened barrier.
  • Anyone looking for a "needle-free" result — comparable to clinical treatments, but non-invasive.
  • Prevention and maintenance — seasonal treatments when your skin is in good condition and you want to keep it that way.

The areas we work on

  1. brightening protocols — sun-related hyperpigmentation, PIH, uneven skin tone;
  2. peptide treatment and Stem Cell — first fine lines, density, "glow";
  3. C-Infusion with vitamin C — brightening and antioxidant support;
  4. protocols for sensitive, reactive skin — no strong acids, yet still effective.

Why women's skin reacts differently

Women's skin goes through hormonal cycles throughout life that directly affect its condition — epidermal thickness, hydration levels, sebaceous gland activity and susceptibility to hyperpigmentation. Fluctuating oestrogen levels can turn balanced skin into reactive, dry or breakout-prone skin within a few weeks. DermaQuest offers protocols for each of these phases — your cosmetologist matches the treatment to your skin's current condition, not to a fixed "type".

The most common goals women bring to DermaQuest

Three areas dominate women's skin concerns, and DermaQuest protocols address them particularly well:
Important: your cosmetologist selects the protocol after a diagnosis. The same client often gets a different treatment in summer than in winter, because skin changes with the seasons.
  • Evening skin tone and reducing hyperpigmentation — sun-related, post-acne (PIH) and hormonal; AHA/BHA acids and vitamin C from C-Infusion work on multiple fronts here.
  • Renewal and radiance after difficult seasons — tired, grey skin in spring after the heating season, or in autumn after sun exposure, responds very well to a Stem Cell or C-Infusion protocol.
  • Gentle rejuvenation without needles — a peptide treatment improves skin density and elasticity, giving a lifting effect without a medical procedure.

Hormonal skin — what's worth knowing

If your skin flares up during your cycle, reacts to contraception, or changes after pregnancy, that's important information for your cosmetologist. Protocols with retinol and TCA are contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding; Stem Cell and gentler hydrating treatments work well during this time. After pregnancy, for postpartum hyperpigmentation, acid peels and C-Infusion can give very good results — but only after a consultation and once breastfeeding has ended.

Planning treatments around important events

A wedding, a christening, an important photoshoot, an anniversary — women often plan a DermaQuest series around a specific event. Here's a rule worth knowing:
  • Stronger acid peels (TCA, retinol) — plan these 2–3 weeks in advance, so your skin has time to fully renew.
  • For tomorrow — your cosmetologist will choose a banquet protocol: C-Infusion or Stem Cell give radiance with no risk of flaking.
  • Don't come in straight after intensive sun exposure — skin freshly saturated with sun reacts unpredictably to acids.

Frequently asked questions

Will my face go red and flake — and when will that pass?
It depends on the protocol. With lighter acids (mandelic, lactic), flaking is minimal or entirely invisible — you return to normal life almost immediately. With stronger protocols (TCA, retinol), mild flaking is possible for 2–4 days; skin looks natural during this, not dramatic. We always plan stronger treatments well in advance, never a week before a wedding.
Can I combine DermaQuest with home retinol and acids?
Not at the same time. Before and directly after stronger protocols, we pause home retinol — to avoid stacking irritation. Your cosmetologist sets the exact break during your visit, as it depends on the concentration you use and the protocol chosen.
Will hyperpigmentation from hormonal pigmentation (melasma, chloasma) disappear after DermaQuest?
DermaQuest can noticeably even out skin tone — exfoliating acids, vitamin C and retinol are proven ingredients in hyperpigmentation therapy. With melasma, results are good with a consistent series and daily SPF 50+; without sun protection, pigment returns. For very resistant cases, your cosmetologist may suggest combining this with a laser treatment.
How many sessions do I need to see a real difference in hyperpigmentation?
The first brightening and smoother texture is visible after the very first visit. A clear reduction in hyperpigmentation usually appears after 3–4 sessions of the series; full results after completing the treatment (usually 4–6 sessions every 1–2 weeks) and with daily SPF.
Can I do DermaQuest in summer?
Yes — but we adjust the protocol to the season. In summer, your cosmetologist is more likely to reach for C-Infusion and Stem Cell than strong exfoliating acids, because the risk of irritation and sun-related hyperpigmentation is higher. Daily SPF 50+ is essential, regardless of the season.
