Cryolipolysis for women

Why this fold won't respond — and what to do about it

Cryolipolysis in women most often targets areas changed by pregnancy, hormones or simply genetics — and which "won't budge" despite activity. The aim: subtle refinement of the contour, not a metamorphosis.
Czas
one application per zone during your visit
Efekt
permanent — eliminated fat cells don't return (provided your weight stays stable)
Regeneracja
zero downtime — you walk, you work; a few days of redness and tenderness in the treated zone
Seria
1–3 sessions per zone, with a 6–8-week gap between them; the result builds over several weeks

When it's worth it — indications

  • Abdomen and lower abdomen — a "muffin top" fold that stays even when your stomach is flat in the morning.
  • Love handles — the most common and most rewarding zone, for both women and men.
  • Thighs — mainly the inner thigh, resistant to exercise.
  • Buttocks — the area just below the buttock (the "banana roll").
  • Double chin — a small applicator contours the jawline.
  • Back and bra-line area — folds that "spill over" under clothing.
  • Arms — excess on the inner side.

The areas we work on

  1. abdomen and lower abdomen — a stubborn post-pregnancy fold, a "muffin top" on an otherwise flat stomach;
  2. love handles and bra-line area — what "spills over" under a dress;
  3. inner thighs and the area below the buttock;
  4. chin — subtle contouring of the jawline for photos and camera.

Why this fold won't respond — and what to do about it

There's something particularly frustrating about this kind of problem: you know you're doing everything right. Regular exercise, a balanced diet, an active lifestyle — and yet this one part of your body seems to have cut itself off from the rest. A post-pregnancy abdomen that "stands its ground" despite months of core work. Love handles visible even in well-tailored trousers. Inner thighs resistant to dozens of workouts.
This isn't about willpower or discipline. Fat tissue in these areas is genetically determined — it breaks down and resists calorie deficit differently to the rest of your body. Hormonal changes linked to pregnancy, your menstrual cycle and age also determine where fat stays put. This is where cryolipolysis comes in: as an answer to that one stubborn area — not to your silhouette as a whole.

The female body and cryolipolysis — what matters

Women's adipose tissue in the lower abdomen, flanks and thighs has a different architecture of connective-tissue septa than in men — hence the more frequent cellulite and the specific resistance of these areas to reduction. Cryolipolysis acts on fat deposits directly, regardless of this architecture.
The most requested female zones at J'adore Instytut:
  • Lower abdomen after pregnancy — a stubborn fold that remains despite core work, shaped by hormonal and pregnancy-related changes;
  • Love handles — tissue visible under a dress, blouse or bikini, independent of overall weight;
  • Fold below the buttock (the so-called banana roll) — disrupts the line in swimwear and fitted trousers;
  • Inner thighs — the area most resistant to exercise, particularly common among women over thirty;
  • Bra-line area — small folds on the back that appear regardless of weight;
  • Chin — a small applicator contours the jawline and profile with no other intervention.

Pregnancy, hormones and skin — questions to ask before you take a seat

The treatment isn't performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you're planning a pregnancy, it's worth waiting on cryolipolysis — not because it's unsafe, but because a subsequent pregnancy can change the result in the same zone. The best time is a stable stage after breastfeeding has ended.
The most common concern among women after pregnancy: will skin sag more once fat is removed? With a moderate fold where the skin has retained its elasticity, the risk is minimal — adipocytes disappear gradually, giving the skin time to adapt. If laxity is an additional concern, your cosmetologist will suggest combining the treatment with a firming procedure during consultation. We say this openly, before you start.
Your menstrual cycle isn't a technical contraindication, but if you're at a stage where your body retains more water or you're more sensitive to discomfort, it's worth booking at a different point in your cycle. Your cosmetologist will take this into account when planning.

What to realistically expect — no marketing promises

Cryolipolysis is about precision, not transformation. In a single session, your body eliminates part of the adipocytes in the chosen zone — a visible change in contour, not a reshaping of your whole silhouette. That's why it suits women who are already close to their target shape and want to finish off one specific area.
The result comes with a delay — your cosmetologist assesses the timeline during consultation, since the pace and extent depend on the zone and the thickness of the fold.
The best results for women come from a combination: cryolipolysis for fat volume, and lymphatic drainage or endermology to support removal of the cooled cells and improve skin quality. Your cosmetologist decides on the plan after assessing the zone during consultation.

Frequently asked questions

Can I go back to training after the treatment?
Yes, with no restrictions — physical activity supports the result by stimulating circulation and the lymphatic system. In the first 1–2 days, it's worth going easy on the tender zone during very intense exercise that directly engages that area, but general activity isn't a problem.
Can I have cryolipolysis during my period?
There's no formal contraindication, but if you're more sensitive to pain or discomfort at that time, it's better to book a different date. The treatment is fairly comfortable after the first few minutes, but it's worth being comfortable from the start.
Can I use retinol and acids after the treatment?
Your regular skincare routine doesn't need a break. On the treated zone itself, if it's tender and red in the first few days, it's worth being gentler — hold off on strong acids and retinol until the sensitivity has settled.
Should I combine cryolipolysis with other body-contouring treatments?
Yes — this is a common and sensible plan. Lymphatic drainage or endermology after cryolipolysis supports removal of the cooled cells and improves skin quality in the zone. If you have cellulite or laxity alongside the fat deposit, your cosmetologist will suggest an additional treatment (Emtone, RF, bandages). The order and intervals are set individually.
Is the cryolipolysis result visible in photos and in clothes?
Yes — and this is exactly how women most often judge the result. Not the number on the scale, but the fact that trousers sit differently, a dress doesn't pull at the side, and your silhouette in a bikini looks the way it should. That's the goal of this method — contour, not a number on the scale.
