A practical approach:
  • Plan your first session for a calmer week — with no important trip, wedding, photo shoot or other significant event;
  • If you're breastfeeding, you'll need to wait — the treatment is contraindicated during this time;
  • Spring and autumn are the preferred seasons for ablative lasers — less sun, less risk of pigmentation;
  • Skin phototype is one of the elements of qualification and technology selection; the decision is made by a specialist after assessing the skin.

Resurfacing the face, neck and décolletage

With uneven texture, pores or photoageing, selecting the right treatment requires an assessment of the skin. During the consultation, the specialist discusses the scope of the treatment, possible skin reactions and recommendations after the visit.

Frequently asked questions

Can I book a laser session if I have active acne scars, but the acne itself isn't fully under control yet?
Active acne and inflammation in the treatment area are contraindications — the skin needs to stabilise first, then the laser can follow. During consultation, a specialist will assess whether your skin is ready, or whether additional treatment should come first.
How many treatments are needed in a series for scars?
The number of treatments and the intervals between them are determined by a specialist after assessing the skin. The plan depends on the type of scars, the area and the skin's reaction.
Can old stretch marks be discussed during a laser consultation?
Yes. A specialist assesses their type, area and skin condition, and then discusses the possibilities and limitations of the treatment. The length of time the stretch marks have been present is not on its own sufficient for qualification.
I'm planning a pregnancy in a year's time — is now a good moment for ablative laser on stretch marks from my previous pregnancy?
Discuss pregnancy plans during the consultation. The specialist takes them into account when assessing suitability and planning any appointments.
I get recurring cold sores on my lips and want a full-face laser session — what should I do?
Be sure to mention this during consultation — it matters more than you might think. Ablative laser can reactivate the cold sore virus even outside the treated area. A specialist will often recommend antiviral prophylaxis before the treatment; an active outbreak means postponing the session.
