Diamond microdermabrasion for women

Microdermabrasion and women's skin — what the diamond does, and what cream can't

The goal is usually radiance and smoother-looking skin, along with working on texture, pores and superficial hyperpigmentation. Women's skin tends to be thinner, so the tip grade and suction strength are chosen more gently — and the treatment is often finished off with a mask and "glow" skincare. This is classic microdermabrasion for women.

When it's worth it — indications

  • Dull, grey skin — lacking radiance, "tired" despite skincare.
  • Uneven, rough texture — skin that feels coarse to the touch.
  • Enlarged pores — most often on the nose, chin and cheeks.
  • Superficial hyperpigmentation — sun-related and post-acne.
  • Shallow acne scars and minor surface irregularities.
  • Skin that absorbs skincare poorly — creams and serums "sit" on the surface.
  • Preparation for another treatment — a peel or mesotherapy (for better ingredient penetration).
  • A quick refresh before an event — instant glow, no downtime.

The areas we work on

  1. radiance and smoothness before a wedding, photoshoot or important event;
  2. working on texture, pores and superficial hyperpigmentation over a series;
  3. better absorption of serums and creams — your home skincare "works harder";
  4. preparing skin for a peel, mesotherapy or intensively nourishing masks.

Microdermabrasion and women's skin — what the diamond does, and what cream can't

Women's skin produces less sebum than men's, is thinner, and responds faster to hormonal changes — and these fluctuations often show up as uneven tone, post-acne pigmentation and dullness that no home peel reaches deeply enough to fix. The diamond tip works precisely across the whole surface — with intensity chosen by the specialist for your skin type: gentler on the cheeks, firmer where pores are enlarged and the epidermis is thicker.
The result is immediate, but that's just the start. Once dead cells are removed, skin absorbs serums and creams several times more efficiently — the products you've invested in finally work the way the manufacturer promises. This translates into real results from your ongoing skincare and strengthens the effect of every following treatment.

When microdermabrasion gives particularly good results for women

Women's skin goes through phases where the build-up of dead cells speeds up: hormonal shifts linked to the cycle, pregnancy or menopause disrupt the skin's natural exfoliation rhythm and create uneven texture. Microdermabrasion restores that rhythm mechanically, regardless of your current hormonal state.
The greatest benefits are seen in women who:
  • Struggle with post-acne or sun-related hyperpigmentation — especially if vitamin C serum hasn't given visible improvement so far
  • Have combination or oily skin with enlarged pores in the T-zone — mechanical cleansing works better here than a cleansing toner
  • Notice their make-up doesn't sit evenly — foundation collects in depressions or highlights roughness
  • Want to prepare their skin before an important event and need results straight away, not in a few days
  • Are planning deeper treatments (mesotherapy, medical peels) and want optimal skin preparation

Aftercare and a woman's routine

After microdermabrasion, skin is more reactive for a few days — this is a good time to simplify your routine temporarily and boost hydration. Hold off on retinol and strong acids (such as high-strength AHA or an enzyme peel) for a few days — the specialist will tell you exactly how long, based on the intensity of your session. Sun protection is essential: exfoliated skin is more sensitive to UV, and without SPF 30–50 the risk of pigmentation increases.
What you don't need to pause: hyaluronic acid serum and ceramide cream — these ingredients absorb even more deeply now than before the treatment, and actively support your skin's recovery.

Results, seen through a woman's eyes

After one session, skin is noticeably smoother to the touch, tone evens out, and foundation applies more evenly. After a series of four to six sessions, superficial hyperpigmentation becomes visibly lighter, pores on the nose and chin are less noticeable, and skin overall gains a glow that's hard to achieve with skincare alone. For every session, the specialist personalises the tip grade and suction strength to your skin and the goal at that stage of your treatment plan.

Frequently asked questions

Can I wear make-up after the treatment, and when?
You can wear light make-up from the next day. On the day of the treatment, it's best to let your skin breathe with a moisturiser and SPF. Heavy foundation applied to freshly exfoliated skin can cause irritation, so if you have an important evening out, book your session at least a day ahead. The specialist will advise based on your skin and the intensity of the session.
Is microdermabrasion safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Diamond microdermabrasion is a mechanical treatment — no acids, chemicals or substances that enter the bloodstream. It's generally considered safe during pregnancy, but every visit begins with a consultation where the specialist takes your current health into account and adjusts the intensity. Let us know about pregnancy or breastfeeding when booking, so we can plan the session accordingly.
I use retinol at home — can I continue after the treatment?
Pause retinol and strong exfoliating acids for a few days after the treatment — skin is more reactive during this time, and combining them can cause irritation. Once the specialist has assessed the intensity of your session, she'll tell you exactly when you can resume active ingredients. Contrary to what you might think, you don't need to stop your whole routine — hydration and SPF continue straight away.
Will the results look natural, or will my skin look "done"?
Microdermabrasion doesn't change your facial features or "fill" anything — it smooths and evens out what's already there. The result is a more radiant, smooth version of your own skin, not a "post-treatment" face. We calibrate the intensity of exfoliation so the effect is noticeable but never drastic — the specialist calibrates the dosage and tip grade to your skin and expectations.
Can I combine microdermabrasion with other treatments I already do?
Yes — microdermabrasion works well alongside mesotherapy, medical peels and LED therapy, either as preparation for them or as a complement. Once the epidermis is exfoliated, active ingredients penetrate more deeply, boosting the results of the following treatment. Spacing and order matter — the specialist plans the protocol so treatments build on each other rather than overlap.
