PMU brows for men

Brow PMU for men — a completion, not makeup

For men, we approach brow PMU discreetly, keeping the shape unmistakably "masculine" — the goal is completion, not drawing a new brow. This is permanent brows for men: help with sparse brows, scars, hair loss or alopecia (patchy hair loss), so the result stays unnoticeable as a treatment.

When it's worth it — indications

  • Sparse or light-coloured brows — when hairs are naturally thin or so light they "disappear" without makeup.
  • Everyday brow drawing — if pencil and pomade are part of your morning routine that you'd like to end.
  • Asymmetry and uneven shape — one brow sitting higher, a different arch, or "gaps" from years of over-plucking.
  • Brows that "disappear" during exercise, swimming or hot weather — permanent makeup doesn't smudge.
  • Scars and gaps in the brow — a gentle fill so the shape stays continuous.
  • An active lifestyle — when you want to look put together without daily makeup.
  • Wanting to correct or refresh old, faded or poorly matched PMU (assessed at consultation).

The areas we work on

  1. filling in sparse or thinning brows;
  2. masking scars and gaps in the brow line;
  3. rebuilding brows after alopecia / chemotherapy (a separate medical path);
  4. keeping the simpler, less defined arch typical of a male face.

Brow PMU for men — a completion, not makeup

Men's permanent brows follow one firm rule: the result should be invisible as a treatment. People around you should see well-groomed, more defined brows — not suspect anything was done. That's why technique, colour and shape are chosen differently for men than for women: no lifted arches, no dark, defined lines. The goal is to fill in what's missing — not to build a new brow from scratch.
The most common reasons men choose brow PMU:
  • Sparse or thinning brows — a natural tendency towards faint brows that makes the face look undefined.
  • Scars and gaps in the brow line — from injuries, surgery or alopecia (patchy hair loss).
  • Chemotherapy or other treatments causing hair loss — this is a separate path; your linergist discusses it individually.
  • Asymmetry — one brow noticeably higher or sparser than the other.

What a brow design looks like for a man

A men's brow shape is generally simpler and thicker than a women's — with no pronounced arch, closer to a straight line. We choose colour 1–2 shades lighter than the hair colour, so the healed pigment reads as a natural shadow rather than a clear line. Machine techniques (ombré/powder) or hybrid are typically used — they give a more durable result with less visible blurring across skin types, including oily skin, which men encounter more often.
The standard procedure is the same as for women: consultation with a skin assessment, shape design in pencil before pigmentation, the pigmentation itself, aftercare guidance, and a mandatory touch-up after approximately 4–6 weeks.

Frequently asked questions

Will anyone notice I've had my brows done?
If the treatment is done well — no. Well-matched colour and shape simply read as well-groomed, more defined brows. The result is far less noticeable than, say, brows drawn with makeup. Men who ask about PMU very often hear from friends a few weeks later: "you look good, did you change something?" — without pinpointing why. Does it hurt? I don't want to sit in the chair for hours. The area is numbed with a topical anaesthetic before pigmentation. During the treatment, the sensation is more like scratching or light pressure than sharp pain. The first session is one longer visit, and the touch-up after 4–6 weeks is much shorter — it finishes the colour and covers any small additions.
I have a scar through my brow line — can it be masked?
Yes, this is one of the more common reasons men come in for brow PMU. Pigment applied around the scar visually evens out the line — the scar becomes invisible or much less visible. Results depend on the texture and colour of the scar, assessed during consultation.
How long does the result last? Does it need repeating?
The result is long-lasting — typically a year to several years, after which the colour fades naturally. Once the brow has faded, it can be refreshed with a lighter session. PMU isn't a permanent tattoo: it ages gracefully and can be updated.
