Profhilo addresses this from within. Once injected at a few strategic points, the preparation spreads through the tissue on its own and triggers the skin's regeneration mechanisms. Men's skin is thicker and denser than women's skin, and this affects how the treatment is carried out. The BAP technique stays the same, but the specialist precisely tailors the dose and injection depth to your anatomy and goals — not to a single template. It's an individual calibration for your specific skin and desired result.
Lifestyle also affects results: intense training speeds up metabolism and may shorten how long results last by a few weeks compared with a more sedentary routine. A specialist factors this in when planning the protocol and the intervals between maintenance sessions.

Zero downtime — you're back the same day

Profhilo doesn't leave visible traces of treatment in the usual sense. Small bumps may appear at the injection sites right after the session — this is normal with the BAP technique and resolves on its own within one to two days. Bruising is uncommon but possible; if a small bruise appears, it fades within a few days.
You're back to work, meetings and daily activities the same day. Wait 24–48 hours before intense training or the sauna. You can shave the next day, gently around the injection sites. No bandages, no noticeable recovery period.

Profhilo and shaving

Facial hair and regular shaving don't interfere with the treatment or its results. Profhilo is injected at BAP points, mainly on the cheeks, around the jawline and forehead, and shaving affects the skin's surface, not the deeper tissue where the preparation works. The only recommendation is to shave more gently around the injection sites for the first 24 hours, so as not to irritate the skin where the needle was used.
If you shave with a razor, you can go back to your normal routine after 24 hours, no changes needed. Same goes for electric shavers. Limit alcohol-based aftershave near the injection points for the first 24 hours.

Frequently asked questions

Will anyone notice I've had something done? Will my face look different?
The result is better skin condition — denser, better hydrated, firmer — not a change in your features. Your features and expression stay the same. People around you will notice you look good and refreshed — they won't ask what you've done.
I train with weights several times a week — will that shorten the results or cause problems?
Hold off on intense training for 24–48 hours after the treatment. Faster circulation can encourage bruising and gently disperse the freshly injected preparation. After that, you can train normally. With a very intense lifestyle, results may last a little less time — a specialist will take this into account when planning the intervals between sessions.
Can I shave after the treatment?
Yes — gently, around the injection sites, during the first 24 hours. From the next day, you return to your normal shaving routine. Facial hair and shaving don't affect the Profhilo result or how the preparation works in the tissue.
Does Profhilo work differently in men than in women?
Men's skin is thicker and produces more sebum — this affects technique, not effectiveness. A specialist calibrates the dose and injection depth to each person's anatomy. The result — improved skin hydration, firmness and density — is the same regardless of gender. What differs are the areas most often treated in men (jawline, forehead, neck) and some nuances of the protocol.
Does Profhilo still work on thick, oily skin?
Yes — and this type of skin often responds very well to bioremodelling. Thick, oily skin loses elasticity and hydration in its deeper layers over time, despite seemingly good surface oiliness. Profhilo works in the deeper layers of the dermis, where surface thickness and sebum don't block the effect. A specialist will assess your skin at consultation and confirm the treatment is right for you.
