Male skin ages differently: thicker, oilier, more richly vascularised — but at the same time more exposed to the sun, daily shaving and a lack of routine SPF protection. The result is skin that gradually loses firmness and density, and the face begins to look tired and dull — even if you feel great.

Profhilo addresses this problem from within. After administration at a few strategic points, the preparation spreads itself through the tissue and triggers the skin's regeneration mechanisms. The effect after a series of two treatments is better hydrated, denser and firmer skin — without changing your features, without traces of the treatment, without downtime. No one at work asks what you've had done — they only see that you look well.

Anatomy matters — that is why the plan is different

Male skin is thicker and denser than female skin — and this affects how the treatment is carried out. The BAP technique remains the same, but the specialist precisely tailors the dose and depth of administration to your anatomy and goal — not according to a single template. This is individual adjustment to specific skin and a specific effect.

The result is also influenced by lifestyle: intensive training speeds up the metabolism and may slightly shorten how long the effect lasts (a few weeks less than with a sedentary lifestyle). The specialist takes this into account when planning treatments and the intervals between maintenance sessions.

Zero downtime — you're back the same day

Profhilo doesn't leave visible traces of treatment in the usual sense. Small bumps may appear at the injection sites right after the session — this is normal with the BAP technique and resolves on its own within one to two days. Bruising is uncommon but possible; if a small bruise appears, it fades within a few days.

You're back to work, meetings and daily activities the same day. Wait 24–48 hours before intense training or the sauna. You can shave the next day, gently around the injection sites. No bandages, no noticeable recovery period.

Profhilo and shaving

Facial hair and regular shaving don't interfere with the treatment or its results. Profhilo is injected at BAP points, mainly on the cheeks, around the jawline and forehead, and shaving affects the skin's surface, not the deeper tissue where the preparation works. The only recommendation is to shave more gently around the injection sites for the first 24 hours, so as not to irritate the skin where the needle was used.

If you shave with a razor, you can go back to your normal routine after 24 hours, no changes needed. Same goes for electric shavers. Limit alcohol-based aftershave near the injection points for the first 24 hours.

Frequently asked questions

Will anyone notice I've had something done? Will my face look different?

The result is better skin condition — denser, more hydrated, better toned — rather than a change in facial features. The features and expression of the face remain unchanged. Those around you will notice that you look well and fresh — they will not ask what you have had done.

I train with weights several times a week — will that shorten the results or cause problems?

Postpone intense training for 24–48 hours after the treatment — increased circulation may encourage bruising and gently disperse the freshly administered preparation. After that time, you can train as normal. With a very intense lifestyle, the effect may last slightly less long — the specialist will take this into account when planning the intervals between sessions.

Can I shave after the treatment?

Yes — gently, around the injection sites, during the first 24 hours. From the next day, you return to your normal shaving routine. Facial hair and shaving don't affect the Profhilo result or how the preparation works in the tissue.

Does Profhilo work differently in men than in women?

Male skin is thicker and produces more sebum — this affects the technique, not the effectiveness. The specialist adjusts the dose and depth of administration to the anatomy of the individual. The effect — improved hydration, firmness and skin density — is the same regardless of gender. What differs are the areas most often treated in men (the jawline, forehead and neck) and the details of the procedure.

Does Profhilo still work on thick, oily skin?

Yes — and this type of skin often responds very well to bioremodelling. Thick, oily skin loses elasticity and hydration in its deeper layers over time, despite seemingly good surface oiliness. Profhilo works in the deeper layers of the dermis, where surface thickness and sebum don't block the effect. A specialist will assess your skin at consultation and confirm the treatment is right for you.
