How it works
Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid preparation with a bioremodelling effect — and that word is key here. It's a stabilised, hybrid hyaluronic acid: it combines a high-molecular-weight fraction, which binds water strongly and is responsible for hydration and skin "scaffolding", with a low-molecular-weight fraction, which spreads through the tissue more readily and stimulates cells to produce collagen and elastin.
Unlike a filler, Profhilo doesn't add volume or contour your features — once injected, it spreads through the skin and acts as a regenerative signal "from within". The result is an improvement in skin quality: greater firmness, smoothness, hydration and radiance — naturally, without changing your expression.
Good to know: the most common myth to bust is that "Profhilo is just a gentle filler." It isn't — it's bioremodelling. Instead of adding volume from outside, it triggers skin regeneration from within. That's why it doesn't change your features and won't give you the "overdone" look. The same mechanism that hydrates the face can be used on the neck, décolletage, hands or body too.

There isn't just one "Profhilo syringe" — a specialist chooses the variant (classic, structural, body), the area, and the number of sessions. This is why consultation is required, and the series plan is set individually.
Red flag: a suspiciously cheap "Profhilo" · A bargain price is the most common warning sign — with an advanced medical device, origin and storage matter just as much as technique. You have every right to ask about the name of the preparation, whether it's genuine, and who performs the treatment. A good salon will answer without hesitation.
Contraindications
Some contraindications are permanent (or require individual assessment), while others are temporary — in that case, we simply postpone the treatment until the situation resolves.

The thing people most often forget: cold sores. Clients often think "I've only got one on my lip, and Profhilo is for my cheek — that shouldn't matter." It does matter — an active virus is a risk regardless of where it appears. It's better to postpone by a few days.

The visit
Consultation
a specialist assesses your skin condition, takes your medical history, rules out contraindications, and chooses the preparation variant (classic, structural or body) and the area. They also determine whether this is the first visit in a series, or a treatment complementing a broader plan.
Preparation
thorough skin cleansing. Profhilo is well tolerated and usually doesn't require anaesthesia, though numbing cream can be used for comfort.
Injection (BAP technique)
the preparation is injected at several precise, anatomically safe points (usually five per side on the face), from which it spreads through the tissue on its own. It's then gently massaged to distribute it evenly.
Aftercare guidance and departure
no bandages, and usually no visible traces; you return to your daily activities right away. The whole treatment takes about fifteen minutes.
Second session
if this is your first visit in the series, we book the next one around four weeks later. This is what builds the full result.
What to expect
Most importantly: you won't see the result straight away. Profhilo works by stimulating the skin, not by immediately "adding" anything. Hydration and radiance usually appear after two to three weeks, while the full result — firmness, density, smoothing — comes from the series of two sessions.
Some clients write after two days saying "I can't see anything." This is entirely normal — Profhilo is a cumulative treatment, and the second session builds on the first. We assess skin quality only after the full series, not after the first few days.

The result usually lasts six months to a year, with recommended maintenance sessions (repeating the protocol). The effect fades gradually — skin returns to its starting condition; nothing "gets worse" once you stop.
Profhilo and your lifestyle
The most common questions aren't about the treatment itself, but about what comes after: training, sauna, swimming, make-up, sun. There's one rule — for the first 24 hours and the following days, treat the injection sites gently, to avoid encouraging bruising or dispersing the freshly injected preparation.
This matters: don't massage or press on the injection sites during the first 24 hours. The bumps at the BAP points will disperse on their own — there's no need to "rub them away".
High temperatures and chlorinated water increase swelling and irritation. Sauna, swimming pool, hammam, hot bath — best to wait one to two days.
Significantly increased circulation encourages bruising right after the injections. Skip intense training for one to two days; gentle activity is fine.
We hold off on intense sun exposure and sunbeds for a few days. Use SPF 50+ daily, especially in the first week.
Pause exfoliating acids and retinol for a few days — keep skincare gentle. Return to them once your skin has settled.
Make-up is usually fine from the next day. You return to work and daily activities right away — Profhilo barely disrupts your routine.
Before the treatment, gentle skincare is enough. It's worth stopping strong acids a few days beforehand and — after checking with a specialist — avoiding blood-thinning agents. Best to skip alcohol on the day of the treatment.
