ProXN (Pro Xn) for men

ProXN for men — what am I actually doing at the salon

Men's skin tends to be thicker, oilier and often irritated by shaving — hence the focus on calming post-shave redness and controlling excess sebum, without any "cosmetic" finish. The goal: healthier, less red, less tired-looking skin. This is ProXN for men.

Duration: around an hour (up to ~1.5 h for neck and décolletage)
Result: results build and become lasting over a series; a single session gives freshness for a few weeks
Recovery: none or minimal — temporary flushing possible
Sessions: usually 4–6 sessions every 1–2 weeks, followed by maintenance sessions
Performed by: experienced cosmetologist

When it's worth it — indications

Grey, tired-looking skin with no radiance — when your skin just isn't "glowing", despite good skincare.
Vascular skin, prone to redness — cheeks that flush easily, a stinging sensation.
Sensitive, reactive skin — that reacts with irritation to cosmetics, sun, or temperature changes.
Early signs of ageing — fine lines, loss of firmness and tone.
Oily, problem skin — in the acne variant, where calming inflammation is the priority.
Scars and post-acne marks — with the more intensive grades that support regeneration.
Skin before an important event — an "event-ready" effect: freshness and an even skin tone.
Skin worn down by city life — smog, air conditioning, screens, stress — classic sources of oxidative stress.

ProXN for men — what am I actually doing at the salon

Men's skin is thicker, produces more sebum, and regularly takes a real beating — literally, from shaving. A razor blade or trimmer removes not just facial hair but also layers of skin meant to protect the barrier. The result: permanent redness around the jaw and neck, oversensitivity to aftershave products, skin that "burns" at the slightest trigger and looks constantly irritated. Add smog, air conditioning, screens and stress — classic sources of oxidative stress. ProXN targets exactly this: it neutralises free radicals, calms chronic redness and helps skin look healthier — with no "just been to the salon" look.

Shaving, redness, sebum — what ProXN actually does

Xanthohumol, a potent antioxidant from hops, neutralises oxidative stress — the mechanism behind greyness and chronic redness. In practice: skin stings less after shaving, cheek redness gradually settles, and your complexion stops looking like it's just come off the pitch.

For oily, blemish-prone skin, there's a dedicated acne protocol variant — it calms inflammation and controls excess sebum while keeping the full antioxidant benefit. A good choice if shiny skin and recurring breakouts after shaving are a constant issue for you.

The treatment is non-invasive — no needles. With the more intensive grades, the protocol may include gentle microneedling to boost absorption of the active ingredients, but your cosmetologist decides this after assessing your skin. The result is simply a healthier-looking, calmer face — no shine, no "made-up" finish.

When it's worth starting a series

If your skin has one specific issue (post-shave irritation before an important meeting), a single session will give you a clear sense of calm and freshness. Lasting change — less redness, better resistance to irritants — builds up over a series of 4–6 sessions every 1–2 weeks. The treatment takes around an hour; up to about 1.5 hours for the neck and décolletage. There's no real downtime — just possible temporary flushing that fades within a few hours.

Frequently asked questions

Will it be obvious I've had a treatment done?

No. The result is calmer, healthier-looking skin — with no shine and no "made-up" finish. Any temporary flushing fades within a few hours. You go straight back to your normal activities.

I get post-shave irritation almost constantly — can that actually be calmed down?

Yes, and this is one of the main reasons men choose ProXN. The therapy calms redness and strengthens the skin barrier, so skin reacts more calmly after shaving. The effect builds over a series — after a few sessions, shaving stops feeling like a permanent sentence.

How long does it take, and can I come in between meetings?

The treatment takes around an hour. There's no downtime with the gentler grades — you leave the salon and carry on with your day. The only restriction is avoiding saunas and intense sun exposure for 24–48 hours after the treatment.

My skin is oily and shiny — will ProXN do anything about that?

There is a separate variant for this — the Acne protocol. It soothes inflammation and controls sebum without drying out the skin. The exact grade and protocol will be selected by the cosmetologist after diagnosis — you do not choose this from a menu.

Do I need to change my skincare routine after the treatment?

Your cosmetologist will give you specific guidance at your visit. The key points are: SPF 50+ every day after the treatment (antioxidant therapy and intense sun exposure don't mix), gentle cleansing without SLS, and skipping strong acids for a few days. None of these changes is complicated.
