FACIAL COSMETOLOGY

Freshness, less redness
“graded strength”

Grey, tired-looking skin that "nothing brightens"? Skin that stings and flushes at the slightest trigger?

Fine lines and loss of radiance that no cream seems to mask anymore? ProXN (Pro Xn) is a signature antioxidant therapy by ONmacabin — built around xanthohumol (Xantohumol), one of the strongest plant-derived antioxidants known in cosmetology. Rather than a single "cure-all" treatment, it's a graded system (grade I, II, III, plus a separate acne protocol) that your cosmetologist selects based on your skin's actual condition. The goal is simple: neutralise the oxidative stress that drives ageing and irritation, and give your skin back its calm, smoothness and radiance. This is a cosmetology treatment and non-invasive — no needles involved. At J'adore Instytut, it's performed by an experienced cosmetologist. Below you'll find everything worth knowing before your first visit.

  • Grey, tired-looking skin with no radiance
  • Vascular skin, prone to redness
  • Sensitive, reactive skin
  • Early signs of ageing
  • Oily, problem skin
  • Scars and post-acne marks
  • Skin before an important event
  • Skin worn down by city life

How it works

How it works

ProXN is an antioxidant therapy by ONmacabin. At its heart is xanthohumol (Xantohumol) — an antioxidant derived from hops, one of the strongest known in cosmetology. Its role is to neutralise free radicals and oxidative stress: these are what "wear down" skin from within, driving ageing, greyness and chronic redness.

In practice the treatment combines carefully sequenced steps: cleansing, an active antioxidant serum or concentrate, a massage that helps the ingredients penetrate the epidermis, and a soothing or brightening mask chosen for your specific concern. Your skin ends up calmer, better oxygenated and more hydrated — with no aggression and no compromise to the skin barrier. This isn't an abrasive peel — it's about repair and protection.

Three levels of skin in cross-section: the stratum corneum right at the top, the living epidermis beneath it, and deepest of all the dermis. An antioxidant formula works within the epidermis and calms it from the surface. The cosmetologist chooses the composition and the order of the treatments after assessing your skin.
  1. Stratum corneumthe barrier the treatment orders and protects
  2. Living epidermisthe level the actives reach
  3. Dermisdeeper than needle-free care reaches

ProXN is a cosmetology treatment and non-invasive — it works at the level of the epidermis and skin barrier, with no needles and no injections. This is why there's no real downtime and the experience stays gentle.

  2. Vascular skin, prone to rednesscheeks that flush easily, a stinging sensation.
  3. Sensitive, reactive skinthat reacts with irritation to cosmetics, sun, or temperature changes.
  4. Early signs of ageingfine lines, loss of firmness and tone.
  5. Oily, problem skinin the acne variant, where calming inflammation is the priority.
  6. Scars and post-acne markswith the more intensive grades that support regeneration.
  7. Skin before an important eventan "event-ready" effect: freshness and an even skin tone.

Women's and men's needs

What's different

For her

Why women choose ProXN

The most common goal is radiance, an even skin tone and calmer redness — all while staying gentle. We often combine ProXN with brightening care and eye-area treatments, planning the series around a specific moment (a wedding, the holidays, or bouncing back after winter). This is the classic ProXN for women.

The areas we support

  1. grey, tired skin after the heating season or a holiday;
  2. vascular, sensitive skin — soothing and barrier support;
  3. fine lines and loss of radiance — the "well-rested" effect;
  4. an "event-ready session" — freshness and glow before you head out.
For him

ProXN for men — what am I actually doing at the salon

Men's skin tends to be thicker, oilier and often irritated by shaving — hence the focus on calming post-shave redness and controlling excess sebum, without any "cosmetic" finish. The goal: healthier, less red, less tired-looking skin. This is ProXN for men.

The areas we support

  1. redness and irritation after shaving;
  2. vascular skin, redness across the cheeks and nose;
  3. oily, shiny skin prone to blemishes;
  4. a grey, tired look — a quick reset with no downtime.

Did you know: xanthohumol comes from hops — the same plant that gives beer its flavour. In cosmetology, however, a purified, concentrated form is used, with a very high antioxidant potential — many times stronger as a "shield" against free radicals than common antioxidants.

Safety

What really determines the result

With antioxidant therapy, results and safety depend on a few things worth asking about at any salon:

  1. Who performs it

    ProXN is a cosmetology treatment — at J'adore it's carried out by an experienced cosmetologist, who first performs a skin assessment, and only then chooses the grade and protocol. This isn't a treatment picked blindly "off a menu".

  2. Whether the products are genuine

    We work exclusively with original ONmacabin (ProXN) products from authorised distribution. Antioxidants are sensitive to light and air — freshness and proper storage of the product matter.

  3. Which grade and which protocol

    There isn't just one "ProXN treatment". The grade (I/II/III) and variant (e.g. acne, brightening) are chosen by your cosmetologist to match your skin's condition — which is why the consultation is a starting point, not a formality.

Red flag: a suspiciously cheap "ProXN treatment" · A bargain price can be a sign that you're getting a non-genuine or expired product, that the skin assessment is being skipped, or that the person performing it isn't properly trained. "Miracle" promises ("your broken capillaries will vanish after one session", "we'll reverse your wrinkles") are another warning sign. You have every right to ask about the product brand, the grade of therapy chosen, and who is performing the treatment — a good salon will answer without hesitation.

Contraindications

When to postpone the treatment

Some contraindications are permanent, others temporary — in which case we simply postpone the treatment until the situation resolves. Your cosmetologist always makes the final assessment at your consultation.

We don't perform it
  • Active skin infection or cold sores (Herpes)in the treatment area — we postpone until healed, to avoid spreading or worsening the infection.
  • Active, acute skin inflammationheavily irritated, damaged or broken skin in the treatment area.
  • Allergy or intoleranceto the product ingredients — we check this at your consultation and perform a patch test if needed.
  • Recent exfoliating or laser treatmentswe keep an appropriate interval, to avoid layering irritations.
  • Fever and general infectionwe wait until you've recovered.
  • Skin conditions in an active flare-up(e.g. active inflammatory redness, acute rosacea) — require individual assessment.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeedinglet your cosmetologist know; some protocols and ingredients need to be modified or postponed.
  • Recent tanning or intense sun exposurewe postpone the treatment on skin that's overheated or sunburnt.

From the cosmetologist's chair

The most commonly overlooked issue: cold sores. Clients often think, "I only have one on my lip, and the treatment covers my whole face — it shouldn't matter." It does matter — an active virus carries a risk of irritation and spreading. It's better to postpone by a few days and treat healthy, calm skin instead.

This isn't a complete list — we'll go through your skin conditions, allergies, current products and previous treatments individually at your consultation.

What to expect

No surprises

The key point: ProXN is a therapy, not a one-off "fix". After a single session, your skin is noticeably fresher, better hydrated and calmer — but real change in tone, smoothness and resilience builds up over a series, session by session.

  1. Faza 1.immediatelyskin calm, hydrated, with a visible glow
  2. Faza 2.a few daysflushing fades; skin looks well-rested and more even
  3. Faza 3.after a few sessionseven skin tone, less redness, smoother texture
  4. Faza 4.after a full serieslasting improvement in resilience and radiance — time for maintenance sessions
I sometimes hear: "I had one session and my skin is still flushing." That's completely normal — antioxidant therapy works cumulatively. Broken capillaries and chronic redness are the result of years of stress on the skin; we calm them with a series, not a single visit. A single ProXN session works well as a "reset before going out", but for lasting change we work over a cycle.

What's normal right after the treatment

  • slight, temporary flushing of the skin — usually fades within a few hours;
  • a "tight", refreshed feeling in the skin, along with a pleasant glow;
  • with the more intensive grades involving microneedling — mild warmth or subtle flaking over the following days.

Results last longer the better your home skincare and sun protection are. ProXN "rebuilds" the skin's antioxidant shield, but daily SPF and antioxidants are what help keep that shield in place.

ProXN and your lifestyle

What you can and can't do, and when

ProXN doesn't require "hiding at home", but for the first hours and days after the treatment your skin stays more sensitive — and that's exactly when we protect it from factors that could irritate it again or weaken the antioxidant effect.

  1. Makeup

    best from the next day

    After the gentler grade, makeup is fine the same day, but your skin benefits from "breathing" until the evening. After the grades with microneedling — wait until the next day, once your skin has settled.

  2. Sun and SPF

    SPF 50+ is mandatory

    This is essential: antioxidant therapy and intense sun exposure don't mix. Avoid tanning and sunbeds, and use SPF 50+ every day — without it, UV exposure will simply "burn off" part of the effect.

  3. Sauna and hot baths

    24–48 hours' break

    High temperatures dilate blood vessels and increase redness — especially relevant for vascular skin. It's best to wait 1–2 days before a sauna or hammam.

  4. Swimming pool

    wait 1–2 days

    Chlorine irritates calmed skin. After the more intensive grades with microneedling, skip the pool until your skin has fully recovered.

  5. Home peels and acids

    hold off for a few days

    We hold off on strong peels, acids and facial brushes — using them right after the treatment would disrupt freshly calmed skin barrier. You can return to them after a few days.

  6. Retinol

    pause for around a week

    Retinol is active and can irritate skin after the treatment. It's best to pause for a few days to a week and return once your skin has settled; your cosmetologist will set the exact window.

Frequently asked questions

  1. QuestionDoes ProXN really work, or is it just "skincare pampering" like any other treatment?
    AnswerIt works, but cumulatively. Xanthohumol is a genuinely strong antioxidant — it neutralises the oxidative stress that drives greyness, redness and ageing. You'll see freshness and calm after a single session; lasting improvement in skin tone and resilience builds up over a series.
  2. QuestionAfter how many sessions will I see results?
    AnswerFreshness and glow are visible after the very first session. Evener skin tone and less redness usually appear after a few sessions, with full results after completing the whole series — typically 4–6 sessions every 1–2 weeks.
  3. QuestionWill ProXN get rid of broken capillaries?
    AnswerIt doesn't "remove" broken capillaries the way a laser does. It calms vascular skin, reduces the tendency to flush and strengthens the skin barrier. For visible, persistent broken capillaries, your cosmetologist may suggest combining it with another treatment — we'll discuss this at your consultation.
