Fractional microneedling RF (Elysses/INDERMO) for women

Fractional microneedling RF and the female body — where changes occur most often

The most common goal is firming and smoothing the skin — on the face and body, in areas that have lost firmness after weight fluctuations or pregnancy. This is classic fractional microneedling RF for women. The skin is thinner and more delicate, so gentler settings are selected and the series is planned for a gradual, natural result.

When it's worth it — indications

  • Loss of firmness — facial and body skin that has lost tension, including the abdomen after pregnancy, inner arms and thighs.
  • Acne scars — indentations and uneven texture; one of the strongest indications for fractional microneedling RF.
  • Enlarged pores — lasting reduction and smoother facial skin.
  • Stretch marks — white and red (striae albae and rubrae), on the abdomen, hips and thighs.
  • Fine and moderate wrinkles — smoothing through skin remodelling, not filling.
  • Uneven skin texture — “texture refinement”, even skin tone and a smoother surface.
  • Post-traumatic and post-operative scars — softening and flattening of the affected area.

The areas we work on

  1. lax skin on the abdomen after pregnancy and weight loss;
  2. stretch marks on the abdomen, hips and thighs — smoothing and softening;
  3. the inner upper arms and thighs — loss of firmness;
  4. face: pores, fine lines, acne scars, facial contour.

Fractional microneedling RF and the female body — where changes occur most often

Female skin responds differently to pregnancy, breastfeeding and weight fluctuations than male skin. It is thinner, more hormonally responsive and more prone to stretch marks and loss of firmness in specific zones. The abdomen after pregnancy, inner thighs and arms, and hips are areas where collagen stretches more quickly and is less likely to recover without external stimulation. Fractional microneedling RF provides this stimulus. Heat and microneedle channels trigger collagen remodelling where the skin has lost density. Treatment parameters are selected for thinner female skin — this means precise needle-depth selection, a gentler start to the series and gradually increased intensity in subsequent sessions.

Zones women enquire about most often

  • Abdomen after pregnancy and weight loss — lax, “empty” skin after volume loss; fractional microneedling RF increases its density from within rather than filling it from the outside.
  • Stretch marks — white and red, on the abdomen, hips and thighs; the treatment smooths and softens their texture. Results are real, although gradual.
  • Inner arms and thighs — zones particularly prone to laxity after weight fluctuations; they require a body applicator and usually a series of at least 4–5 treatments.
  • Face: pores, fine lines, acne scars, facial contour — female facial skin responds quickly, and remodelling results are visible within the first few weeks.
  • Eye area — this delicate zone requires a smaller applicator (INDERMO oko), but the effect of denser, firmer skin is noticeable.

Sessions and timing — how to plan treatment around your life

A series of 3–5 treatments every 4–6 weeks follows the natural collagen remodelling cycle. It is worth considering a few practical points:
  • Plan ahead of an important event. A wedding, photoshoot or holiday — the final treatment in the series should take place at least a few weeks beforehand, once redness has settled and collagen has had time to rebuild.
  • Sun exposure and tanning beds are a limitation. For around 2 weeks after the treatment, SPF 50+ and avoiding tanning are essential — otherwise there is a risk of discolouration. It is best to plan your series outside the holiday season or protect your skin consistently.
  • After childbirth and breastfeeding. The treatment is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding — plan your series after lactation has ended, when hormone levels have stabilised and your skin is ready to regenerate.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have fractional microneedling RF on my abdomen just after losing weight, while the skin is still lax?
Yes — lax skin after weight loss is one of the classic indications. Active weight loss must be complete, with a stable weight. There should be no active inflammation, and your skin should be assessed during consultation. The sooner you begin the series after your weight has stabilised, the smaller the collagen deficit to address.
How many sessions are needed for stretch marks — and how much will their appearance change?
Stretch marks are one of the more challenging concerns — results are real, but gradual. Usually, at least one full series of 3–5 treatments is needed to see a clear improvement in texture and colour. White stretch marks respond more slowly than red ones. An honest assessment of results always takes place during consultation, when the cosmetologist evaluates the type, age and depth of the changes.
Will I look “done” after fractional microneedling RF on my face, or will it be obvious that I have had something done?
No — this is not a filling or lifting treatment that changes your features. The result is better skin quality: denser, firmer skin with reduced pores and a more even texture. People will notice that you look well, not that you have been to a salon.
I have sensitive skin prone to redness — is this treatment suitable for me?
Vascular and sensitive skin requires an individual assessment during consultation. Insulated needles work deeper in the skin rather than on the epidermis. This reduces the risk of a strong reaction. However, the settings — needle depth and radiofrequency power — must be conservative, especially at the start of the series. The cosmetologist will assess your skin and decide how to perform the first treatment safely.
Can I combine fractional microneedling RF with other treatments I already have regularly?
Yes, but the order and intervals are crucial. Fractional microneedling RF works very well with mesotherapy — hydrating cocktails after the treatment — HIFU for facial contour lifting, and carboxytherapy to support stretch marks and scars. We schedule intensive acid peels and exfoliating treatments after, not immediately before, fractional microneedling RF. You agree the exact schedule with your cosmetologist during consultation.
