Scalp carboxytherapy for women

When hair thins but the cause isn't obvious

In women, hair loss is most often diffuse — the parting thins, hair becomes thinner across the whole scalp, density drops "evenly". It can be linked to hormones, the postpartum period, diet or stress. Scalp carboxytherapy in women then supports microcirculation across a larger area and is often part of a broader course of treatment.

When it's worth it — indications

  • Hair loss linked to reduced blood flow — when the scalp is tight, "cold", poorly oxygenated.
  • Early thinning — hair that's thinner, regrows more slowly, with reduced density at the parting.
  • Support for other trichology treatments — as part of a series aimed at stimulating microcirculation.
  • Scalp affected by stress, diet or fatigue — when hair has "fallen out" seasonally.
  • Men with early thinning at the crown or temples — support for blood flow at an early stage.
  • Anyone who wants to look after scalp health preventively — before thinning becomes established.

The areas we work on

  1. thinning along the parting and at the crown;
  2. hair that's thinner, "lacking volume", regrows more slowly;
  3. seasonal / telogen hair loss (after stress, diet, childbirth);
  4. support after diagnosis — often combined with mesotherapy or a treatment series.

When hair thins but the cause isn't obvious

Women's hair loss patterns can be harder to name than men's — they don't appear as clear temple recession or baldness, but as subtle changes: the parting seems wider, hair is thinner and lacks volume, the ponytail gets smaller. There can be several causes at once — hormones, the postpartum period, thyroid issues, deficiencies after dieting, prolonged stress lasting months. This is exactly the picture where scalp carboxytherapy hits the mark: it improves blood flow and oxygenation across a larger area of the scalp, creating better working conditions for follicles — regardless of the underlying cause.

Scalp after pregnancy, dieting and stress — when it makes sense

Telogen hair loss (the kind that appears with a delay after stress, childbirth or a restrictive diet) is one of the cases where scalp microcirculation is often noticeably worse. The scalp becomes tight, cold to the touch, and follicles work more slowly. A series of carboxytherapy sessions then acts as support — not a miracle cure, but a sensible way to strengthen the environment in which hair has a better chance to regrow. It works best as part of a broader plan: after trichoscopic diagnosis, often paired with mesotherapy or a supplement programme.

How you look after your visit — no giveaway marks

This is an important question for anyone coming in on a break between meetings or after work. The punctures are very fine and hide under the hair — no visible marks on the forehead or temples. Any redness on the scalp isn't visible once the hair is in place. The feeling of pressure fades within a few dozen minutes. There may be slight tenderness when touching the head for a few hours — but that's it. You leave the salon looking just as you arrived.

Carboxytherapy and the hairdresser, colouring, keratin treatments

If you have colouring, keratin straightening or another chemical hair treatment planned, schedule carboxytherapy after it or leave a few days between them. Fresh punctures and harsh chemicals on the scalp are a poor combination. The other way round: regular home care, a gentle SLS-free shampoo, ampoules supporting microcirculation — all fine alongside the series.

Frequently asked questions

Will carboxytherapy help me if my hair is still falling out after pregnancy?
Postpartum (telogen) hair loss is often linked to reduced scalp blood flow and increased scalp tension. A series of carboxytherapy sessions improves microcirculation and creates better conditions for follicles — this makes sense as a support measure, especially when trichoscopy confirms the follicles are still alive and working. We start with a consultation to assess the current state, not to guess.
My parting is thinning — is this suitable for carboxytherapy?
Thinning along the parting is one of the typical female patterns for which this treatment is sometimes recommended. It all depends on what lies at the root — which is why we begin with trichoscopy. If the problem is poorer blood supply and finer hair (not scarring alopecia), carboxytherapy as part of a series makes sense.
Can I combine carboxytherapy with scalp mesotherapy?
This is a common and very logical pairing: carboxytherapy improves blood flow (conditions for the follicle), while mesotherapy delivers nutrients deep into the skin (fuel). They don't rule each other out — quite the opposite, they're often combined in a single treatment plan. The order and intervals are decided by the trichologist after diagnosis.
How many visits do I need, and when do we assess results?
Hair grows slowly and has its own cycle — we assess the first clear changes in quality and density after the full series, not after one or two visits. Microcirculation improves faster, but visible changes in the hair itself take weeks of work. We set the series plan and assessment points individually during consultation.
Do I need to pause the series in summer when I'm out in the sun a lot?
You don't need to pause it, but during the series you need to protect the scalp from strong sun — SPF on an exposed parting or a head covering. A fresh, dark scalp tan just before a session is a reason to postpone that visit, not the whole series. The trichologist will adjust the plan to the season.
