Carboxytherapy (CO2) for men

Male skin — thicker, but not without needs

In men, carboxytherapy most often targets localised fat and contour — a "spare tyre" on the abdomen, love handles, a double chin — and also tired-looking eyes (dark circles). Add to that acne scars, lax skin after significant weight loss, and the scalp in cases of thinning hair. Cellulite occurs in men too, especially on the abdomen.

Male skin — thicker, but not without needs

Male skin is on average 25% thicker than female skin and produces more sebum. This brings some natural advantages — it ages more slowly and is more resistant to superficial damage. But microcirculation works the same way as in women: it reacts to stress, lack of sleep, a sedentary job and chronic tension. The result? A grey complexion, dark circles, a tired face that doesn't reflect how you actually feel.
Carboxytherapy for men focuses mainly on the face and eye area — this is the zone where the effect is most visible and where skin thickness, paradoxically, favours the treatment: the tissue absorbs CO₂ well and responds with a clear improvement in complexion. The dose and injection depth are chosen based on skin structure and individual goals — not on gender as a category, but on the specific anatomy and problem of each person.

Strength training, recovery and carboxytherapy

If you train regularly with weights, scalp carboxytherapy can complement hair-loss therapy, which worsens with high DHT levels and oxidative stress. Improving blood flow to hair follicles is one of the few treatments that addresses hair loss from within — without pills and without changing your diet.
After carboxytherapy on the face or neck, return to training the next day. In the first 24 hours after the session, skip the sauna, the pool and intense cardio — not because anything is at risk, but because heat and elevated pressure can prolong how long redness takes to fade. Moderate-intensity strength training is fine on the same day.

Shaving and beard growth — what about aftercare

Facial carboxytherapy doesn't interfere with beard growth — hair isn't the treatment area, and injections are precisely placed. Shaving is fine the next day after the session. If you use a razor blade or a straight razor, wait a full 24 hours — the skin around the injection points may be slightly more sensitive right after the treatment.
Leave alcohol-based aftershave balms and gels for 24–48 hours after the session. Neutral moisturising products can be used straight away. If you use products with retinol or acids — a 24–48 hour break in the treatment area, the rest of your routine unchanged.

Discretion and a natural effect

The most common concern men have about carboxytherapy is simple: will it be obvious that I've had something done? The answer is just as simple: no — and that's exactly the point. Carboxytherapy doesn't change facial features, and it doesn't fill or lift tissue in a way that alters proportions. The result is a face that looks rested and healthy — as if you'd come back from holiday, or slept better.
Many men hear comments like "you look good, did you rest?" from colleagues after a series — not "what did you do to your face?" That kind of subtle, natural effect is often exactly what men are looking for.

Frequently asked questions

Can I go straight back to work and meetings after the session?
Yes — carboxytherapy requires no recovery time. Slight redness at the injection sites fades within an hour. Back to the office, a meeting, behind the wheel — no restrictions at all. The only thing you might notice for a few hours is a slight warmth in the skin, which passes quickly.
Do I need to skip training after the session?
Moderate-intensity strength training is fine the same day. Skip the sauna, the pool and very intense cardio for the first 24 hours — high temperature and pressure can prolong how long redness takes to fade. The next day, you're back to your full training plan.
Will anyone notice I've had a treatment?
No — and that's one of the main advantages of carboxytherapy for men. The result isn't a change in features or an artificial look, but a face that looks healthier and more rested. People around you may notice you look better — they won't notice you've been to a salon.
Can carboxytherapy be combined with scalp mesotherapy for hair loss?
Yes — and it's a common, effective combination. Carboxytherapy improves blood flow to hair follicles, while mesotherapy delivers active ingredients directly into the scalp. Both methods work in a complementary way — the specialist will schedule the series so both aren't done on the same day.
How long does the session take and how often do I need to come back?
Carboxytherapy on the face and eye area takes 15–30 minutes. The optimal series is 4–6 sessions every 1–2 weeks. Results build with each session — you'll notice a healthier complexion and reduced dark circles after 2–3 sessions. Once the series is complete, maintenance sessions every 2–3 months are enough to keep the results.
