Strengthening programme (series) for men

Why men lose hair differently — and what to do about it

In men, hair loss more often follows an androgenic pattern — receding hairline, thinning at the crown, and progressive hair miniaturisation. Here, the programme supports and maintains condition, but the earlier you start, the better. This is a strengthening treatment for men — with an emphasis on consistency and realistic expectations.

When it's worth it — indications

  • Increased but reversible hair loss — after stress, childbirth, a restrictive diet or infection (so-called telogen effluvium).
  • Seasonal hair loss — typical shedding in autumn or spring when you want to actively support your hair.
  • Thinning and weakened condition — hair that is thinner, less dense, 'lifeless' or brittle.
  • A scalp that cannot cope on its own — prone to seborrhoea, dandruff or tension (we start the programme by balancing the scalp).
  • Prevention and maintenance — when you want to maintain results from previous treatments or take care of your hair in advance.
  • Preparation for stronger treatments — a balanced, healthy scalp responds better to further therapy.

The areas we work on

  1. receding hairline and thinning at the crown;
  2. early miniaturisation — the moment when the programme gives the most;
  3. scalp prone to seborrhoea (common in men);
  4. maintaining results between stronger treatments.

Why men lose hair differently — and what to do about it

Male hair loss usually follows one pattern: receding hairline, thinning at the crown, and gradual hair miniaturisation. This is caused by follicle sensitivity to DHT — and the strengthening treatment will not reverse this. However, there is a moment when the programme makes the most sense: the early stage, when the follicle is still working but weakening. Then, a series of treatments realistically maintains the condition of the scalp and slows down hair weakening.
Male scalps are also more often oily and prone to seborrhoea. This blocks follicles and worsens hair condition before the actual problem even begins. Therefore, some programmes start with a scalp balancing stage, followed by nourishment and stimulation.

What the treatment gives men — without the hype

The strengthening programme is not a treatment for baldness. For advanced androgenic processes, it has limited capabilities. A good clinic will tell you this directly rather than promising 'full regrowth'. However:
Realistic goal: better condition of the hair you have; slower weakening; reversing what is reversible.
  • It supports and maintains the condition of the scalp and follicles that are still working.
  • It limits reversible hair loss — e.g. after stress, infection, or intense training with deficiencies.
  • It prepares the scalp for stronger treatments (mesotherapy, PRP, exosomes) — a healthy base responds better to the stimulus.
  • For seborrhoea and oiliness — it balances the scalp as a starting point, which itself improves hair condition.

When a man should consider a series

  • A receding hairline has appeared recently or thinning at the crown is at an early stage — the earlier you start, the more there is to play for.
  • Hair after intense stress, nutritional deficiencies or serious illness — this is telogen effluvium, which responds well to the programme.
  • The scalp is oily, flaky or feels 'tight' — then the preparatory stage is particularly useful.
  • You are already doing treatments (PRP, mesotherapy) and want to build them into a coherent programme instead of random visits.
  • You want to maintain the result after a completed series and not lose what you have achieved.

Consistency instead of panic

The most common mistake: waiting until hair loss is clearly visible, then starting a 'rescue' — and expecting a quick result. The hair follicle has its own rhythm and needs a repeatable stimulus spread over time. One treatment changes nothing; a series does.
The second mistake is irregularity. Skipping visits breaks the rhythm of stimulation and weakens the effect of the entire programme. Trichological treatment works like training — regular sessions give results, a one-off effort does not.

Frequently asked questions

Will the treatment stop baldness?
The honest answer: it is not a treatment for androgenic alopecia. In an advanced process, we have limited influence and will say so directly. In the early stages, the programme supports follicles and slows down weakening. For hair loss from other causes (stress, deficiencies), it works better. That is why we start with a consultation to know what we are dealing with.
I have an oily scalp and dandruff — where should I even start?
With a diagnosis and the preparatory stage: cleansing and peels. Seborrhoea and dandruff block the follicle openings. Before you start nourishing and stimulating, it is worth clearing this up. A trichological programme often starts with this stage, followed by the actual stimulation.
How long does the whole series take?
The pace and length are set by the trichologist after diagnosis. It depends on the cause, scalp condition and the chosen programme. There is no single answer for everyone. At the first consultation, you will get a specific plan: how many visits, what happens at each, and what you do at home.
Can I combine the treatment with hair loss medication?
Often yes, and it is a good combination. A doctor manages the cause, while the trichological programme supports the scalp and hair from the outside. Tell the trichologist about your medications so they can choose a safe plan — especially if you take finasteride or minoxidil, as this affects the assessment of the series' results.
When will I realistically see a difference?
Not after the first visit. The first changes are assessed after several treatments. The hair must enter the growth phase, which takes time. Those who stick to the plan and are regular usually see a difference. Those who quit after 2 visits because "nothing is happening" do not give the treatment a chance.
