Threading — facial hair removal with thread for men

Threading for men — tidying up, not "done" brows

For men, threading mainly serves to tidy up: removing the unibrow, finishing the brow contour, refining the beard line, and clearing peach fuzz on the cheeks and neck. The thread allows for precise, spot-on work without changing the brows' natural character — the result looks neat and natural, with no trace of being "done".

When it's worth it — indications

  • Peach fuzz and stray facial hairs — upper lip, chin, cheeks, along the brow line.
  • Vascular and sensitive skin — the thread doesn't heat or stick to the skin, so it triggers less redness than wax.
  • Skin treated with retinol or acids — when the epidermis is thinner and wax can be risky, threading offers a safer alternative (following consultation).
  • A precise brow contour — a perfectly sharp, clean arch line, with no chemicals involved.
  • Anyone wanting to avoid shaving facial hair — no stubbly regrowth, no "darker" upper lip effect.
  • Men — tidying brows, refining the beard line, clearing cheeks and neck; discreet and to the point.

The areas we work on

  1. brows — removing the unibrow and finishing the arch line;
  2. beard line — a sharp, clean contour above the cheek and on the neck;
  3. cheeks — peach fuzz and stray hairs beyond the beard line;
  4. neck — a precise finish without stubbly regrowth;
  5. men's rhythm: roughly every 3–4 weeks to stay tidy.

Threading for men — tidying up, not "done" brows

For men, threading is mainly about precise tidying: removing hair between the brows (unibrow), refining the brow contour, and clearing peach fuzz on the cheeks or neck. Thread allows for spot-on, highly accurate work — the treatment is quick, discreet, and doesn't change the brows' natural character. The result is a neat look that nobody would guess you'd "had done".
Men's hair tends to be thicker and more firmly rooted, so the first session may feel slightly more noticeable — that's a matter of biology, not sensitivity. The sensation is a brief pinch that passes quickly. Each following visit feels easier, and the brow and beard line stays tidy for longer.

Finishing the beard line and contour

Threading beautifully finishes the work of a razor or clippers wherever a sharp, clean boundary matters — above the cheekbone, on the neck, along the top of the beard line. The thread removes stray hairs straying beyond the contour, ones not worth shaving since they quickly return as stubble. The result looks natural — the beard simply looks well-groomed.
If subtlety matters to you, mention this before the treatment — your specialist will work the area selectively, removing only what genuinely disrupts the look, without "smoothing" everything. At J'adore, we treat every client the same way: professionally, discreetly, and without questioning your reasons.

Why threading instead of shaving your face

Shaving peach fuzz and stray hairs on the cheeks gives results for a day or two before returning as stubbly regrowth — for men, it also brings a higher risk of irritation and ingrown hairs around the beard area. Threading removes hair at the root, so smoothness lasts for weeks, and skin isn't irritated by a blade. This is a solution for anyone who wants lasting ease.
Brow and contour threading can be combined with brow grooming for men and beard trimming — a complete facial "tidy-up" in a single visit. Let reception know what you're planning, and we'll schedule the order so everything comes together seamlessly.

Frequently asked questions

Will it be obvious I've had something done to my brows?
No. Threading for men focuses on removing excess — the unibrow, stray or unruly hairs — not on reshaping. The result looks natural, as though your brows simply grew that way.
Does it hurt?
The sensation is a brief pinch, most noticeable during the first session and with thicker hair. It passes quickly. Most men describe the discomfort as entirely tolerable.
Will threading help with stubbly regrowth after shaving the cheeks?
Yes — because it removes hair at the root, rather than cutting it at skin level like a razor. This means regrowth is finer and less stubbly, and smoothness lasts considerably longer than after shaving.
How often should I come in?
Roughly every 3–4 weeks, to keep the brow contour and beard line tidy. With regular sessions, hair regrows sparser, and visits become quicker.
Can I combine threading with brow grooming and beard trimming?
Yes — that's usually how it works out. Let reception know what you're planning, and we'll schedule your visit so the brow contour, peach fuzz, and beard line are all addressed in one go.
