Pumpkin (therapeutic) for men

The pumpkin peel for men — why it makes sense for you

Men's skin tends to be thicker and more often oily, with larger pores and sometimes scars or marks from acne built up over years. On top of that comes a lack of SPF habit and shaving irritation. This is the pumpkin peel for men: it unclogs pores and brightens grey-looking skin, and since it doesn't cause flaky peeling, it won't interfere with daily shaving or work.

When it's worth it — indications

  • Grey, tired skin — lacking radiance, sallow or dull despite regular skincare.
  • Rough, uneven skin — when the epidermis is keratinised and creams struggle to absorb.
  • Visible, enlarged pores — especially across the T-zone (nose, forehead, chin).
  • Sensitive, reactive skin — skin that reacts badly to acids, stinging and turning red.
  • First peel ever — a safe starting point if you're wary of exfoliation.
  • Dry, dehydrated skin — peptides nourish, and the treatment doesn't add to the dryness.
  • Skin preparation — ahead of a skincare series, or for a pre-event glow.
  • Oily skin with minor imperfections — unclogs pores without aggression.

The areas we work on

  2. acne marks and scars — smoothing texture across a series;

The pumpkin peel for men — why it makes sense for you

Men's skin is thicker, produces more sebum and has larger pores than women's skin. Add to that daily contact with a razor or clipper — shaving is a micro-trauma that irritates the epidermis, opens pores and, if neglected, leads to ingrown hairs, breakouts and dullness. And one more thing: most men don't use SPF regularly, which builds up over the years as uneven skin tone and dullness.
The pumpkin peel (Pumpkin) works enzymatically — no acids, no aggression, no downtime. It unclogs pores, removes dead skin and brightens skin tone so your skin looks like it's had a good rest, not like it's had a beauty treatment. And importantly: it doesn't cause flaky peeling, so the next day you can shave and go to work as normal.

Men's skin and the pumpkin peel — what's different

Men's thicker epidermis means surface flaking — greyness, dullness, roughness — can be more pronounced, and more visible. Large pores across the T-zone (nose, forehead, chin) and oily skin create conditions where dead skin clogs pores faster. Pumpkin enzymes and Dermomedica peptides clear that congestion without aggression — the result is skin that looks clean and healthy, with no explaining to do about what you've had done.
There's also this: skin that's regularly shaved reacts to exfoliation differently from skin without that routine. Your cosmetologist takes your shaving routine into account when choosing the intensity and schedule of the treatment.

When it's especially worth it — for men

  • Grey, dull skin and enlarged pores — a typical result of skipping regular exfoliation and UV protection; the pumpkin peel is the fastest route to a fresher skin tone without complicated skincare.
  • Acne scars and marks — skin texture after acne improves across a series; enzymes smooth the surface without risking irritation.
  • Shaving irritation, ingrown hairs — regular, gentle exfoliation of the epidermis helps prevent ingrown hairs and irritation from daily shaving.
  • Oily skin, clogged pores — the peel unclogs pores and reduces excess sebum production over a series; skin looks cleaner between shaves.
  • No skincare routine, zero SPF — instead of a full set of creams, you start with one visit; your cosmetologist will recommend simple, fast home care with no fuss.

After the treatment — what to do (short and practical)

One non-negotiable rule: SPF 50+ after every peel, for at least a few weeks. If you haven't used sunscreen before — after a peel, it's not optional, it's a condition. Skin that's been exfoliated is more prone to sun-related hyperpigmentation. Your cosmetologist will recommend a light SPF cream you can apply in 10 seconds without feeling like you're wearing anything.
For a few days after the treatment: skip the sauna, very hot showers and intense training on treatment day. Shaving — back to normal from the next day.

Frequently asked questions

I shave every day — won't the peel irritate skin after using a clipper?
Quite the opposite: regular, gentle enzymatic exfoliation reduces the tendency towards ingrown hairs and shaving irritation. On treatment day, your cosmetologist will recommend gentler shaving or skipping it; from the next day, you're back to your normal routine.
I have acne or acne marks — will this peel help?
The pumpkin peel smooths skin texture and improves tone, which shows in post-acne marks (hyperpigmentation, unevenness). The effect builds across a series — one session refreshes; regular sessions, 4–6 every 1–2 weeks, deliver real improvement in smoothness. With active, inflammatory acne, your cosmetologist will assess at consultation whether the pumpkin peel is the best choice, or whether another protocol should come first.
How long does it take, and can I go straight to work or the gym afterwards?
The treatment takes a few dozen minutes. Once you leave the salon, you can go straight back to your day. It's best to skip intense training the same day — sweat and heat can irritate freshly exfoliated skin. From the next day — full activity with no restrictions.
