Body piercing for women

Piercing that expresses what is harder to say in words

Body piercing for women most often serves as a subtle accent and jewellery detail — from a delicate nostril, through a trendy septum, to a classic navel piercing. What counts is the aesthetics of the placement and the choice of jewellery that harmonises well with the rest of the styling.

The areas we work on

  1. nostril and septum — discreet or expressive, depending on the jewellery;
  2. navel — the most popular choice, looks great in summer;
  3. lip / labret and brow — a stronger, characterful accent;
  4. combining with ear piercings into a coherent jewellery composition.

Piercing that expresses what is harder to say in words

The female body is diverse — and this diversity determines how we plan each piercing. The more delicate skin of the navel area reacts differently than the thicker cartilage of the ear pinna. The tissue of the nose, lip or tongue has its own healing specifics. We select the location, stem thickness and length of the initial jewellery for your individual anatomy — not for a "standard template". The parameters are always selected precisely so that the piercing heals well and looks exactly as you planned.

Aesthetic goal — yours, not accidental

Some women come for a discreet dot on the side of the nose — almost invisible, but present. Others for ear curation: a thoughtful composition of several piercings on the ear, which together create a cohesive piece of jewellery. Still others for a navel piercing that has been a dream put off for years. Regardless of the motivation — aesthetic, symbolic or purely impulsive — the starting point is one: a precise determination of how the effect is to look. Before the needle enters the skin, you approve the placement. Symmetry and proportions are a priority, not an accident.

Healing and your daily life — what you really need to know

The most common question women ask concerns aftercare in combination with their daily routine. The skin around a fresh piercing requires time — and a few temporary habit modifications:
After full healing, you return to all products without any restrictions.
  • Make-up and toner: for the first few weeks, avoid the piercing zone; products containing alcohol, acids (including salicylic and glycolic) and retinol slow down healing and irritate the channel
  • Saunas, swimming pools, the sea: for 2–4 weeks — take a break; saline solution is the only recommended contact with water
  • Night-time care: if you pierce your ear, a travel pillow with a hole allows you to sleep without pressure on the jewellery during the months of healing
  • Hair and aerosols: hairsprays, oils and dry shampoos — keep away from a fresh piercing; they can settle in the channel and hinder healing

Ear curation — when one piercing is not enough

If you are thinking about more than one piercing on the ear, it is worth approaching it like a project. Monika helps to plan the order and intervals between subsequent piercings so that none of them heal in difficult conditions (e.g. a helix right next to a fresh tragus). We also select the jewellery — sizes, shapes, materials — so that the whole thing creates a cohesive composition, not a random set. Ear curation can be planned in stages over many months.

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply make-up right after the treatment?
For facial piercings (nose, lip, brows), avoid applying foundation, concealer, or various products directly near the jewellery for the first 2–4 weeks. Powders and sprays can settle into the channel. You may apply makeup to your eyes and other parts of your face as usual. You can resume using retinol, acids, and exfoliating products around the piercing once it has healed.
Can I get a piercing while pregnant or breastfeeding?
We advise against navel piercings during pregnancy. The abdomen changes in volume, which leads to mechanical irritation of the jewellery and prolongs healing. Nipple piercing is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Other locations, such as the nose or ear, can be discussed individually during a consultation. You will make your decision with full knowledge of the risks.
Does a navel piercing take as long to heal as they say?
Yes. The navel is the area that takes the longest to heal: 6 to 12 months, and often longer. The skin of the abdomen is constantly in motion, clothing causes pressure, and the blood supply to this area is weaker than, for example, around the nose. Healing time is individual and depends on your anatomy, lifestyle, and care. We do not shorten it by changing the jewellery early — this is the most common mistake leading to rejection.
I want a natural effect — will the piercing look cheap?
It depends entirely on the choice of jewellery and the location. A small gold ball on the nostril, a discreet flat back in the ear cartilage, or a delicate ring in the nostril — all look elegant and natural. During the consultation, we show you references and select jewellery to suit your face and style.
Can I combine a piercing with facial treatments, such as lasers or acids?
Ablative treatments, chemical peels, and needle mesotherapy in the area of a fresh piercing are excluded until it has fully healed. Once healed, there are no restrictions, but please inform the specialist about the jewellery so they can avoid the metal zone. With proper treatment planning, lasers and titanium jewellery can coexist safely.
