Plasma (Plasma IQ — plasma pen) for men

Drooping eyelids — a tired look, even when you're not tired

For men, the dominant concern is a drooping, "heavy" upper eyelid that creates a tired, harsh look — often genetically determined. The goal: a discreet lift without changing the character of the face and without a "done" look. This is Plasma IQ for men.

When it's worth it — indications

  • Drooping upper eyelids — excess skin, "heavy" eyes, a tired look; this is the most common indication and an alternative to blepharoplasty for moderate excess.
  • Laxity and fine lines on lower eyelids — gentle firming of the under-eye "bag" area.
  • Crow's feet — the fine lines at the outer corners of the eyes.
  • Lines above the upper lip (so-called "smoker's lines") — vertical lines above the mouth.
  • Skin lesions — seborrhoeic warts, skin tags, milia, small lesions — following a prior assessment of their nature.
  • Correcting minor asymmetry or small scars — targeted skin remodelling.
  • People who want to avoid surgery — and accept a few days of healing in exchange for no incision and no anaesthesia.

The areas we work on

  1. drooping upper eyelids — a tired, heavy-looking gaze;
  2. laxity of the lower eyelid skin and crow's feet;
  3. removal of seborrhoeic warts, fibromas and other small lesions on the face;
  4. discretion: the result is "you look well", not "you've had something done".

Drooping eyelids — a tired look, even when you're not tired

After your forties or fifties — and for some men even earlier, if genetics decide so — excess skin on the upper eyelids starts narrowing the eye opening. The face looks heavier. The gaze can seem absent or tired. Comments like "you look worn out" or "maybe get some sleep" start coming — even though you sleep normally and feel fine.
This is not a matter of lifestyle or sleep. It is a physical change in the skin — loss of elasticity, gravity, time. The classic solution is surgical blepharoplasty: an operating theatre, general anaesthesia, sutures, 2–4 weeks of recovery. Plasma IQ achieves an identical effect of tightening the eyelid skin — without a scalpel, without a surgical scar, with planned healing lasting 7–14 days for micro-crusts.

Male skin and Plasma IQ — what's worth knowing

Male skin is statistically thicker and oilier than female skin — which can actually be an advantage for many aesthetic treatments. Better collagen density means that results from treatments that physically remodel the skin, such as Plasma IQ, can last longer.
At the same time, the skin around men's eyes can be more challenging — stronger expression muscles, more pronounced expression lines, and often a much greater excess of skin than in women of the same age. Treatment parameters — density of points, arc intensity — are selected individually based on anatomy and the extent of the issue, not from a single template.
Men with a beard don't need to worry: if the treatment area is the eyelids and eye area, the beard doesn't interact with the treatment. You can continue shaving as normal — just avoid contact with the micro-scabs for the first 14 days.

Healing planning — sport, training, work

For active men, the key question is: when am I back to normal? The answer is specific.
First week — micro-scabs are visible, with noticeable swelling for the first 48 hours, especially after treatment on the upper eyelids. Computer work is fine straight away. Strength training and cardio — pause for 7 days. Sauna, pool, jacuzzi — pause for 7–14 days, since high temperature and moisture disrupt scab healing and raise the risk of hyperpigmentation.
Second week — the scabs fall off on their own. You can return to sport and contact activities. The eyelid-lifting effect starts to become visible.
After 4–6 weeks — the full treatment result. The skin has remodelled, the eyelids are lifted. Daily SPF 50+ is required at this point — not just on the treated area — for a minimum of 4 weeks after the treatment. This isn't optional; it's a condition for a good result and protection against hyperpigmentation.

Skin lesion removal — a bonus along the way

Many men who come in for eyelid Plasma IQ also take the opportunity to remove seborrhoeic warts, skin tags and fibromas on the face, neck and décolletage. These are entirely benign lesions medically, but aesthetically bothersome — especially in visible spots or where a shirt collar rubs against them.
Plasma IQ removes them in one session, without cutting, without stitches. The micro-scab falls off on its own after a few days. It's a practical solution for men who don't want multiple visits and multiple procedures — one treatment, several results.

Frequently asked questions

Is Plasma IQ visible "straight away" — will anyone notice I've had something done?
For the first 7–14 days, micro-scabs on the eyelids are visible — this is a natural and expected part of the healing process. Once they've fallen off and the skin has fully healed, the result is simply a fresher, more open look in the eyes. No one will know exactly what's been done — they'll just notice you look well. The Plasma IQ result doesn't change the shape of your face or your expression — it restores how you looked a few years ago.
When can I get back to strength training after the treatment?
Strength training and intense cardio — pause for 7 days. Exertion raises blood pressure and body temperature, which increases swelling and can disrupt scab healing around the eyes. After a week, you can ease back in gradually. Saunas and hot baths — 7–14 days off for the same reason.
Does Plasma IQ replace surgical blepharoplasty — when should I choose one over the other?
For small to moderate excess skin on the upper eyelids, Plasma IQ is the optimal choice — a skin-tightening result comparable to surgery, without an operating theatre or surgical scar. For a large excess of tissue, surgery gives a better, more lasting result. It's not a binary decision — at consultation, a specialist will assess the extent of drooping and tell you honestly which method suits you. We won't qualify you for Plasma IQ if surgery would be the better choice.
Can I shave while healing?
If the treatment area is the eyelids and eye area, you can continue shaving your face normally — the beard isn't in the treatment zone. The only restriction: avoid getting shaving foam or a razor onto the micro-scabs for the first 14 days. For treatments on the cheeks or chin — shaving is paused there until the scabs fall off on their own.
Can Plasma IQ be combined with Botox or other treatments?
Yes. A common and effective combination is Plasma IQ for drooping eyelids plus Botox for crow's feet — two different mechanisms, one cohesive result: eyes look more open, lines are smoothed, the face looks rested. These can be done in the same session or spaced a few weeks apart. Your specialist will suggest a plan tailored to your goals.
