Men's skin is anatomically thicker and oilier than women's — it has more sebaceous glands and higher collagen density in youth, but ages abruptly once collagen production starts to decline. Add to this two specific factors: scarring and shaving-related micro-injuries (a daily occurrence) and years of neglected SPF protection — resulting in pronounced photoageing, uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation visible from a distance.
PQ Age targets several of these issues at once. Salicylic acid (BHA) clears pores and has anti-inflammatory properties — particularly useful for oily, congestion-prone skin. DMAE gives a noticeable tightening and lifting effect without needles. The phytoestrogen complex and tyrosinase-inhibiting ingredients work on skin tone and hyperpigmentation. All of this in a single beauty treatment, with no injections and no lengthy downtime.

Sagging facial contour without Botox or fillers — is it realistic?

Yes, but understanding the mechanism matters. PQ Age won't replace lost volume or lift the skin the way threads do — that's not what this procedure does. Acne scars and shaving marks

Frequently asked questions

I'll be flaking at work — will it be visible?
With the peel alone, flaking is often mild and often barely noticeable to others. Redness fades within hours, and makeup (if you wear it) is fine from the next day. The microneedling variant requires more downtime — we set the exact timeframe at consultation. It's worth scheduling the treatment for the end of the week.
Does it hurt?
During application you'll feel a stinging, warming sensation — brief burning and warmth that fades soon after the peel is removed. It's well tolerated. The needling variant involves fine pricks — for that we more often use a topical anaesthetic.
How many sessions do I really need to see results?
Radiance and smoother skin are often visible after the first session. Real firming and even skin tone build up over about 2 weeks after each session and become established over a series of 4–6 sessions. We set out an exact plan at consultation — no vague promises.
I have oily skin and enlarged pores — is this the right treatment?
Yes, salicylic acid (BHA) clears pores and has anti-inflammatory properties — it's well suited to this skin type. Your cosmetologist can adjust strength and exposure time for oily skin, so the effect is precise rather than overdone.
I don't use SPF daily — is that a problem?
Without SPF 50+ after the peel, results disappear faster than you'd expect to see them. Freshly exposed skin picks up hyperpigmentation almost immediately. Yes, every day — even on a cloudy day — for several weeks after the series. It's the one condition that's entirely up to you.
