Retix.C for men

Retix.C — resurfacing for skin that carries marks

Men's skin is more often thicker and oilier, and typical issues include acne scars, photoageing after years without protection, and irritation from shaving. There's also often a lack of SPF habit — and with TCA peels, protection after the treatment is absolutely essential. This is Retix.C for men.

When it's worth it — indications

  • Wrinkles — expression and gravitational lines; TCA exfoliates, retinol rebuilds collagen, and the plumping effect deepens over weeks.
  • Photoageing — grey, "sun-tired" skin and laxity after years of UV exposure; return of radiance and elasticity.
  • Acne scars — atrophic, rolling and box-car; smoothing of depressions and texture over a series.
  • Hyperpigmentation — sun-induced and post-inflammatory (PIH); even skin tone and lightening of dark spots.
  • Stretch marks — fresh (red) marks respond best, but old (white) ones also improve over a series.
  • Eye area — crow's feet, dark circles and mild puffiness; a dedicated, gentler formula is used here.
  • Uneven, "thick" skin texture — smoothing and refreshing the surface.

The areas we work on

  1. atrophic acne scars — deeper remodelling, often in a series;
  2. photoageing and uneven texture after years of sun without SPF;
  3. sun-induced and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation — evening out skin tone;
  4. shaving is paused during peeling — a razor irritates skin during renewal.

Retix.C — resurfacing for skin that carries marks

Men's facial skin is thicker and more prone to oiliness than women's — which sounds like an advantage, but it also means acne marks, hyperpigmentation and photoageing sit deeper and resist surface peels more stubbornly. Retix.C reaches where ordinary cleansing can't: TCA penetrates the dermis and triggers intensive collagen remodelling, while in vivo activated retinol speeds up epidermal renewal from within. Two mechanisms, one session, results building over 4–6 weeks after the treatment.
Three formulas are available — REVIVE TC3 for rejuvenation and even skin tone, Smart DNA for acne scars, EYE PLUS for the eye area. TCA doses and exposure time are chosen individually based on skin thickness, depth of the marks, and the intended result — there's no single setting for everyone.

Acne scars in men — why they need deeper intervention

Men's thicker skin structure means atrophic acne scars can be deeper and more pronounced than in women. At the same time, this same thickness means the skin responds well to TCA — collagen remodelling is intensive and delivers measurable results. Smart DNA with repair peptides triggers neocollagenesis within the scars: TCA activates fibroblasts, peptides stimulate the rebuilding of collagen fibres. After a series of 2–3 treatments, surface texture evens out in a way you'll notice in the mirror — and in photos.
Photoageing in men who have skipped SPF for years is another indication Retix.C addresses precisely: it removes damaged epidermis, stimulates collagen production and restores skin density lost to UV.

Shaving and the treatment — what you need to know

After Retix.C, skin goes through several days of intensive regeneration. Shaving — whether with a razor or a shaver — is mechanical irritation that, during this phase, can cause irritation, micro-abrasions and prolong healing. The rule is simple:
If your beard is a professional or everyday matter, plan the treatment for the start of a weekend or before a few quiet days. Peeling is discreet: thin, dry flakes of skin, not dramatic shedding.
  • On the day of the treatment and for 2–3 days after — no shaving
  • While peeling is underway — gentle washing with a mild cleanser, no rubbing
  • Once peeling has finished (day 5–7) — you can return to your normal shaving routine

Aftercare during the regeneration phase — nothing complicated

The post-treatment protocol is specific and simple:
  • SPF50 daily for at least 4 weeks — critical for the result
  • Regenerating cream without acids, alcohol or retinol — your specialist will recommend a product
  • Don't pick at peeling skin — regeneration must happen naturally
  • Skip intense training and saunas for 48–72 hours — sweat and heat intensify redness

When is it worth considering Retix.C?

Retix.C works well when you're looking for a visible, lasting improvement in skin quality — not a one-off refresh. Specific indications:
  • Atrophic acne scars — shallow and deeper, uneven skin texture
  • Sun-induced hyperpigmentation after years without SPF
  • Grey, tired skin tone — skin that looks dull despite good sleep
  • Early visible wrinkles and loss of elasticity
  • Photoageing — uneven texture, loss of density after years of UV exposure

Frequently asked questions

Can I shave after the treatment?
On the day of the treatment and for 2–3 days after — no. Skin is in an intensive regeneration phase, and mechanical irritation from a razor or shaver can cause irritation and delay healing. Return to shaving once peeling has finished, roughly from day 5–7. If you have a beard and are planning the treatment, schedule it before a few quiet days.
I train regularly — how much time do I need off?
Intense physical exercise and saunas — a 48–72 hour break after the treatment. Sweat and elevated body temperature intensify redness and discomfort. After that, you can return to your normal training plan. SPF50 is required for outdoor training for at least 4 weeks after the treatment.
Will people at work notice I've had something done?
Peeling is discreet — thin, dry flakes of skin, not a dramatic mask. In the first 2–3 days, skin is slightly red and tight. Peeling usually starts on day 3–4 and typically finishes by day 7. Most men schedule the treatment for the end of the working week — and return to the office on Monday without comment. If you work remotely, you have even more flexibility.
I have acne scars — how many sessions will it take?
For shallow scars and hyperpigmentation — 1–2 sessions give a noticeable improvement. For deeper atrophic scars — a series of 2–3 Retix.C sessions (every 4–6 weeks) or combined with Dermapen for more intensive remodelling. Your specialist sets an individual plan after assessing the depth and type of scarring during consultation.
Is it worth doing just one session, or do I need the full series?
A single session brings a real improvement — after peeling, skin is noticeably smoother, brighter and more even. Collagen stimulation continues for up to 6 weeks after the treatment, so results keep building. For deep scar remodelling and lasting even skin tone, the protocol is 2–3 treatments. If you have one specific goal — such as evening out skin tone — a single session may be enough.
