Cherry angiomas on the décolletage, seborrhoeic warts on the neck, small skin tags around the arms, and xanthelasma on the eyelids are the most common reasons women book a consultation. What matters isn't just the treatment itself, but what's left afterwards: unmarked skin, with no dark patch, no scar.
The delicate eyelid area deserves special mention. Xanthelasma is visible up close and often gives the eyes a tired, heavy look — even with well-groomed lashes and carefully applied make-up. What healing looks like — no surprises

The most common question we hear from women: will it leave a mark? With proper healing — in the vast majority of cases, no. Two things are in your control:
After removing minor lesions, you can return to work and daily life the same day. Make-up outside the treatment area is fine right away; on the treated spot itself, wait 1–2 days. With Plasma IQ on the eyelids, plan a few days for swelling to settle — this method comes with a real social downtime, which we tell you about before the treatment.
  • Don't pick at the scab. It protects the skin underneath and determines whether a dark mark forms where the lesion was. Let it fall off naturally.
  • SPF 50+ for several weeks, without exception. Freshly healed skin is especially prone to sun-induced pigmentation — this is the stage that makes or breaks your final result.

Dermatoscopy — why it matters especially for you

We often see women at consultation asking to have a lesion removed that they've had for years, because it was always there and has suddenly started to darken. This is exactly the moment when dermatoscopy matters more than aesthetics. The doctor examines the lesion under magnification before anything is removed — and this isn't a formality, it's a genuine element of health protection. If a lesion raises any concern, it won't be removed aesthetically. Instead, it goes for further diagnostics or surgical removal with examination. This isn't a complication — it's our standard.

Planning — when to book

For minor lesions (cherry angiomas, seborrhoeic warts, skin tags), you can return to daily life straight away — the scab is small, easy to cover, and falls off within a few days. But if you're planning xanthelasma removal from the eyelids with Plasma IQ, book your visit before your holiday, not after — healed skin combined with diligent SPF use is your best defence against sun-induced pigmentation.

Frequently asked questions

Can I wear make-up after treatment on my eyelids?
On the treated area itself, wait a day or two until the skin initially closes over. You can apply make-up to the rest of your face straight away. With Plasma IQ on the eyelids, swelling may make make-up tricky for a few days — plan your visit for a time when you have a bit of breathing room.
I have sensitive skin and pigmentation marks easily after sun exposure — can I still have this treatment?
Yes, but in your case, SPF 50+ after the treatment matters even more. Your doctor will factor your skin phototype into the aftercare advice. Avoid having the treatment right before a planned holiday — healed skin in the sun is far safer than freshly treated skin.
Can I have several lesions removed at once?
Often, yes — for minor, numerous lesions (say, a dozen or so cherry angiomas on the décolletage), the doctor may remove them all in one session, depending on number, type and location. You'll agree the exact plan at your consultation, after dermatoscopy.
My xanthelasma came back on my eyelids after a few years — can it be removed more than once?
Yes — a removed lesion doesn't regrow in the same spot, but xanthelasma can reappear elsewhere or recur; it can be linked to blood lipid levels. Your doctor will let you know whether it's worth checking your lipid profile before deciding on removal again.
Can I go out afterwards?
For minor lesions (cherry angiomas, skin tags, seborrhoeic warts) — yes, though a scab on the décolletage or neck may be visible up close. Wait until it heals before applying make-up to that area.
