In men, the most common lesions are cherry angiomas and seborrhoeic warts on the torso, back, neck and arms — often discovered by chance, or because they start causing physical discomfort: rubbing against a shirt collar, a belt, or a backpack strap. Skin tags on the neck and underarms are a classic irritation, often more bothersome than unsightly. On the face — the occasional wart or pigmented lesion that just seems unnecessary.
The logic of the treatment is simple: consultation with dermatoscopy → qualification → removal → scab → back to daily life. For minor lesions, it's a single visit, and you're back at work the same day. No downtime, no visible mark after a week.

Torso, back, arms — zones you shouldn't ignore

Men rarely book removal purely for cosmetic reasons — more often, it's because a lesion has started to become a nuisance. But there's no reason to put up with lesions that can be removed quickly and safely:
  • Cherry angiomas on the chest and abdomen — they naturally increase with age, and no dietary myth will stop that; they're simply benign growths of small blood vessels.
  • Seborrhoeic warts on the back and arms — a rough, brownish raised patch, often mistaken for something concerning; after dermatoscopy and qualification, it comes off in a fraction of a second.
  • Skin tags on the neck and underarms — soft, stalk-like growths that catch on things and can bleed if knocked; we remove them with precision.
  • Isolated facial lesions — removed quickly and without a trace, once the doctor confirms they're benign after dermatoscopy.

Dermatoscopy — a step that isn't optional

At J'adore, a doctor always examines every lesion under a dermatoscope before anything is removed. For lesions on the torso or back, which are hard to see yourself, this step matters even more: men check their skin less often, and lesions on the back can go unnoticed for years.
If a lesion is benign, we remove it. If it raises any doubt, we refer you for diagnostics and, if needed, surgical removal. This isn't delay — it's the only right order of things.

What healing looks like — specifics

After the treatment, a small scab forms where the lesion was. This is normal and expected. It falls off naturally after a few days — don't pick at it. For a few days, avoid intense exercise and sweating in the treated area (friction and sweat don't help a fresh scab heal). Apply SPF 50+ to exposed areas for several weeks — pigmentation prevention matters for men too.

Frequently asked questions

How long does this take, and when can I go back to work?
Consultation with dermatoscopy plus removal of minor lesions is a single visit. You're back at work the same day. A few small lesions take just minutes.
Will people notice I've had something done?
The scab is small and discreet. On the neck or face, it can be covered by a collar or natural facial hair. After a week — in the vast majority of cases — no mark remains, as long as you didn't pick at the scab and you kept up with SPF.
I've got a dozen or so cherry angiomas on my back and chest — can this all be done in one visit?
Often, yes. Multiple minor lesions can be removed by the doctor in one session — the exact scope, and whether more than one session is needed, is assessed at consultation once the doctor sees the lesions under the dermatoscope.
Do I need to take a break from training?
A few quiet days for the scab are advisable — sweating and friction (a T-shirt on a fresh neck scab, a backpack on your back) can soften the scab and slow healing. Light activity is fine; hold off on intense training and sauna until it's healed.
I have a lesion on my back that I haven't seen in years — should I be worried?
Not necessarily, but you should get it assessed. Lesions on the back are hard to monitor yourself, which is exactly why dermatoscopy makes sense. If the lesion is benign, stable and unchanged, we'll remove it quickly. If it's been changing, diagnosis comes first.
