Volumetry for men

The face loses structure — that's physiology, not neglect

Here the goal is different: a strong, defined jawline, a well-marked "masculine" chin and a striking structure — without feminising the features. Denser products and a more "architectural" approach to the contour are typically used. This is volumetry for men.

When it's worth it — indications

  • Hollowed cheeks — loss of the "triangle of youth" and projection in the mid-face.
  • Blurred, sagging contour — a weakly defined jawline, a "spread" lower face.
  • Hollowed temples — the face looks tired and "drawn".
  • Receding or weak chin — also relevant for facial profile and harmony with the nose.
  • Deepened folds from volume loss — when the problem is lack of support, not the skin itself.
  • Balancing proportions — when you want a coherent, rested look across the whole face, rather than correcting one spot.

The areas we work on

  1. defining the jawline and jaw angle — a strong, angular jaw;
  2. defining the chin, including in the context of profile and nose;
  3. rebuilding cheek volume — without "apples", more flat and structural;
  4. we don't round — we define. The result is "you look good", not "you've had something done".

The face loses structure — that's physiology, not neglect

A man's face ages differently from a woman's — and loses its defining features faster. After the age of 35, cheekbones lose projection, temples hollow, and the jawline blurs. The effect isn't subtle: a face that looked strong and defined in your thirties can, a few years later, seem tired, as if it had lost its characteristic shape. This isn't about fitness or lifestyle — it's the physiological loss of deep fat and changes in bone structure.
Volumetry for men focuses on something different from women's treatment. The technique, injection points and product density are all adapted to the anatomy of the male face — higher-set cheekbones, a wider jaw, deeper-set tissue. The goal isn't correction — it's rebuilding: restoring strong features, a defined contour and a rested look that had faded gradually over several years.

Male facial anatomy: why the approach is different

The male facial skeleton has a different geometry from the female one. Cheekbones sit higher and are more prominent, the jaw is wider and more square, the chin is more pronounced. Product injected into these areas needs to emphasise this structure, not change it — that's why Dr Natalia works differently than for a female treatment: deeper injections near the periosteum, different cannula entry points, different volume gradients.
Men, who tend to have stronger expression muscles and thicker skin, generally tolerate the treatment very well. Swelling and any bruising are often less visible than in women and resolve within 2–4 days. Product placed deeply degrades more slowly — hence results lasting 12–18 months, and even longer in the jaw and chin.

A result that doesn't stand out

  • Jawline — sharper, more defined — the facial contour regains definition. Visible from every angle, not just straight on.
  • Cheekbones — enhanced projection — the face gains a sculpted structure without an artificial bulge. It looks like your face — just stronger.
  • Chin — projection and symmetry — a receding or asymmetrical chin throws off the profile's proportions. Correction with a cannula gives a result close to surgical, without the operating theatre.
  • Temples — no more hollowed look — hollowed temples are one of the first signs of volume loss. Filling them restores a complete facial contour.
  • A rested look without changed features — a tired appearance comes from loss of supporting tissue, not the skin itself. Rebuilding volume removes this effect without touching expression.

Beard, sport, work — what you need to know

You can resume shaving 24–48 hours after the treatment, avoiding strong pressure on the treated areas. An electric razor is a better choice than a blade during this time. Thick facial hair isn't a problem — Dr Natalia plans cannula entry points regardless of its density.
Strength training requires a 48-hour break — increased circulation and blood pressure can worsen swelling and shift freshly injected product. You can resume non-contact sport after 48 hours, and contact sports after 5–7 days. If you take blood-thinning supplements (omega-3, curcumin, higher-dose vitamin E) or anticoagulant medication, let Dr Natalia know at your consultation.
You can return to office work the very next day. For meetings where appearance matters, plan the treatment 5–7 days ahead.

Frequently asked questions

Will anyone notice I've had something done?
Good volumetry is invisible as a treatment. People around you might say you look better, more rested, or that "something's changed" — but they won't know what. The technique and parameters are chosen to emphasise your structure, not turn it into something unfamiliar. It's rebuilding, not transformation.
Can I shave the day after the treatment?
Yes, after 24–48 hours. We recommend starting with an electric razor rather than a blade, to avoid strong pressure on the treated areas. Beard density doesn't affect how the treatment goes or its outcome — Dr Natalia plans injections regardless.
When can I go back to the gym?
Light and aerobic training — after 48 hours. Heavy strength training and contact sports — after 5–7 days. Increased blood pressure and sweating right after the treatment can worsen swelling and affect how the product settles in the tissue. Dosage and volume parameters take an active lifestyle into account — tell Dr Natalia about your training routine at your consultation.
How much product will I need, and how do you decide?
Product volume depends on the scope of the treatment and the degree of tissue loss — there's no single formula. Dr Natalia analyses photos of your face from three angles (front, profile, three-quarter) and plans dosage individually, area by area. Parameters are matched to your anatomy and your goal — not to a cosmetic template. A follow-up visit after 2–4 weeks allows us to assess the result and add more volume if needed.
Will volumetry replace surgical facelift for me?
For men with significant volume loss but no marked skin laxity, volumetry is an excellent, long-term alternative — no operating theatre, no scars, no lengthy recovery. A facelift removes excess skin, which volumetry can't do. If the problem is mainly lost tissue and features rather than sagging skin, volumetry often gives a comparable rejuvenating effect for a fraction of the risk and time.
