Volumetry for women

Your face changes differently than you think

The goal is most often to rebuild the "triangle of youth" — lifting and rounding the cheeks, softly supporting the contour, gently defining the jaw and chin. Result: a rested, lifted face, with the same character. This is classic volumetry for women.

When it's worth it — indications

  • Hollowed cheeks — loss of the "triangle of youth" and projection in the mid-face.
  • Blurred, sagging contour — a weakly defined jawline, a "spread" lower face.
  • Hollowed temples — the face looks tired and "drawn".
  • Receding or weak chin — also relevant for facial profile and harmony with the nose.
  • Deepened folds from volume loss — when the problem is lack of support, not the skin itself.
  • Balancing proportions — when you want a coherent, rested look across the whole face, rather than correcting one spot.

The areas we work on

  1. rebuilding the cheeks and "apples" — mid-face projection;
  2. soft support for the contour and gentle tissue lift;
  3. subtle definition of the jaw and chin for balanced proportions;
  4. shallower nasolabial folds as a result of support from within.

Your face changes differently than you think

The female facial ageing process doesn't start with wrinkles — it starts with volume loss. Oestrogen regulates the production of hyaluronic acid and collagen, so after your thirties, and especially around menopause, a woman's face loses structure faster than the mirror shows. Cheeks drop, temples hollow, the contour blurs — and the nasolabial folds that cause so much concern are really the result of tissue shifting downward under gravity, not an independent skin problem.
That's why volumetry for women is more than "filling" — it's a strategic rebuilding of the facial scaffolding. Dr Katarzyna works on several areas at once: cheeks, temples, jawline — in proportions matched to your anatomy and the outcome you want. The effect doesn't shout. It says: you look rested, fresh, like a few years ago.

What you won't achieve with cream or massage

Women often come to consultation with a ready-made list: "I want something for these folds." But nasolabial folds are usually the result of sagging cheeks, not a problem on their own. Filling them directly can give a result that looks "done". Volumetry works differently: Dr Katarzyna lifts the cheeks from above — tissue mechanically returns to its place, and the folds shrink without being touched directly. That's the difference between correcting a symptom and treating the cause.
A woman's facial skeleton has different proportions from a man's — the cheekbones sit lower, the jaw is narrower, the temples are shallower. Choosing the product, its density and volume takes this anatomy into account, along with how your skin responds to specific factors: sun exposure, skincare history, any past treatments. Parameters are chosen individually — there's no single template for a woman in her forties.

What actually changes

  • Cheeks return to their place — without the "inflated face" effect. The key is precision: the product lands near the cheekbone, not in superficial tissue. The result: projection and lift, not enlargement.
  • Temples fill the contour again — loss of temporal fat is one of the earliest signs of volume loss, often not obvious to you yourself. Filling the temples rejuvenates the proportions of the whole face without touching its centre.
  • The jawline regains definition — a woman's facial contour starts losing sharpness after forty. Gentle contouring along the jaw restores shape without masculinising the features.
  • The tear trough without a shadow of tiredness — the under-eye area calls for particular precision and experience. Result: a fresh, rested look with no filter needed.

Women's skin and recovery

Women's skin is statistically thinner and more vascular than men's, which means bruising after the treatment can be more visible — though it also resolves in a similar timeframe. Dr Katarzyna works mainly with a cannula, which moves around vessels rather than piercing them, meaningfully reducing the risk of bruising. Swelling in the first 24–48 hours is a normal tissue response, not a sign of something wrong.
If you use retinoids, AHA/BHA acids, or blood-thinning products (including omega-3 supplements), let Dr Katarzyna know at your consultation. A few days' break beforehand is usually enough. You can wear makeup after 24 hours, avoiding pressure on the treated areas.

Frequently asked questions

Will I be able to wear makeup for a wedding next week after this?
If the treatment takes place 5–7 days before an important event, that's usually a safe margin — swelling and any bruising typically resolve within 3–5 days. That said, the body has its own rules. If you're prone to bruising, it's worth booking 10–14 days ahead. Dr Katarzyna will discuss this at your consultation with your schedule in mind.
Is volumetry safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
No — pregnancy and breastfeeding are absolute contraindications for treatments using hyaluronic acid. It's not a matter of caution but a lack of clinical data confirming the product's safety during this period. If you're planning a pregnancy soon, it's worth waiting and discussing the right timing with Dr Katarzyna.
I use retinol and acids — when do I need a break?
Retinoids and exfoliating acids don't directly interact with hyaluronic acid, but they can increase skin sensitivity in the treated area. We usually recommend a 3–5-day break beforehand and resuming your routine 48–72 hours after the treatment. We'll discuss the details at your consultation — there's no need to pause your skincare for longer than a few days.
Will the result look natural — or will people notice I've "had something done"?
Good volumetry is invisible as a treatment. People around you notice you look better — they don't know why. The key is planning based on your facial proportions, not on using the maximum amount of product. Dr Katarzyna shows a portfolio of results from similar cases at consultation, so you can judge the aesthetic before making a decision.
Can I combine volumetry with Botox or laser treatments?
Yes — volumetry and Botox complement each other: Botox relaxes expression muscles, volumetry rebuilds volume. They can be done in the same session or a few weeks apart. Laser treatments and chemical peels usually need at least a 2–4-week gap from volumetry — both before and after. Dr Katarzyna plans the sequence of treatments at your consultation.
