Pedicure for men

Feet that work for you — and that no one sees for half the year

Pedicure for men is mainly about hygiene, comfort and a groomed look — with no colour, or with a discreet matte finish. An increasingly common choice among men who look after their feet, especially those who are active or wear closed footwear. See the men's pedicure variant for details.

When it's worth it — indications

  • Everyday feet — when you want smooth heels and neat nails without a specific problem.
  • Sandal season and holidays — when your feet are on show and you want a lasting, polished look.
  • Natural shine without colour — the Japanese variant, if you prefer a "healthy" look over polish.
  • Strengthening thin, brittle toenails — the gel variant rebuilds and protects the nail plate.
  • Slightly rough heels and mild hardened skin — a grooming smoothing treatment.
  • Relaxation and regeneration — when comfort and nourished skin matter most (see Hand & Foot SPA).

The areas we work on

  2. natural, matte finish instead of shine;

Feet that work for you — and that no one sees for half the year

Men's feet are anatomically larger, produce more sweat, and spend most of the day enclosed in footwear — work boots, trainers, dress shoes. That's an environment that favours: thick hardened skin on heels and the ball of the foot, nails that are hard to trim yourself (hard, rounded, prone to ingrowing), corns and calluses at pressure points, and — with intense training — micro-injuries, friction and nail deformities.
A professional pedicure isn't just about looks — it's podology prevention. Your specialist at J'adore Instytut will assess your feet and choose the right scope of work: from a simple classic pedicure (clean nails, smooth heels, ready for sandals) to a medical version with podology tools for ingrown nails, fungal infection or deep cracks.

Athletes, runners, active people

Intense physical activity is one of the main reasons men need regular pedicures. Running, crossfit, football, tennis, cycling — every sport loads the feet differently, but they all produce the same effects: hardened pressure points, occasional bruising under the nail, deformed nail plates, and micro-fungal growth in the damp environment of a trainer.
A SPA pedicure after an intense week of training isn't just about looks — the foot massage with a mask genuinely supports recovery. The muscles in your feet (there are 26 of them) need the same care and nourishment as your calf muscles.
After a classic or SPA pedicure, you can train the same day. After a medical treatment, your specialist will advise individually — usually there are no restrictions from the next day.

Nails that hurt — and what to do about it

An ingrown nail is one of the most common reasons men visit J'adore Instytut. It's usually caused by trimming too short, tight sports shoes, or a genetic tendency towards a wide nail plate. Home remedies — cutting deeper, pushing the skin back, tearing at the edge — usually make things worse.
Our podology specialist treats ingrown nails with a podology tool, with a precision you can't achieve at home. The tool settings are chosen individually, based on your anatomy and how advanced the problem is — there's no single approach for every nail. For advanced ingrowth, she uses tamponade or an orthopaedic brace, which redirects growth without surgery.

Visible results, zero downtime

The results of a classic pedicure are visible straight away: neat nails, smooth heels, clean skin. No hastily cut cuticles, no pain when walking — just feet that look and feel cared for.
Will anyone notice? It depends on you and the season. In sandals or on the beach — yes. In winter shoes — you'll mostly notice the difference yourself when walking. Pedicure is first and foremost about comfort and health; the aesthetic result is a bonus that comes along with it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I train on the same day as my pedicure?
After a classic or SPA pedicure — yes, no restrictions. Your feet are ready to go straight away. After a medical pedicure treating ingrown nails, your specialist will give specific advice — usually you can train normally from the next day. If timing matters, let us know when booking and we'll choose a slot that fits your training plan. Is a pedicure for me? I don't want polish... A pedicure without polish is still a full grooming treatment: clean, evenly trimmed nails, hardened skin removed, smooth heels, hydration. Polish is optional, not required. Most of our male clients choose the no-colour version — neat and discreet.
I have nail fungus — should I wait until it clears before coming in?
No — it's worth coming in now. A medical pedicure is the first step in treatment: your specialist will treat the affected nail, remove the damaged plate and advise on next steps (antifungal products, or a dermatology consultation if needed). Untreated fungus doesn't clear on its own — the sooner you start, the shorter the treatment.
How many sessions do I need for an ingrown nail?
It depends on how advanced the problem is. With mild ingrowth, one or two visits often solve it. With deep, recurring ingrowth, a series of visits using an orthopaedic brace plus home care advice is needed. Your specialist will assess this at your first visit and tell you exactly what to expect.
Does a medical pedicure hurt?
Treating an ingrown nail can involve mild discomfort during the precise work — but your specialist controls this and uses a podology tool that minimises mechanical intervention. It's a completely different experience from home attempts with nail clippers. Classic and SPA treatments don't hurt.
