A treatment room at J'adoreHANDS & FEET
We take care of our face every day, but hands and feet — which work hardest — only get our attention once the skin feels dry, rough or tight. SPA Hands & Feet is a ritual that catches up on this neglect while giving you what home care lacks most: a real moment of pause. Exfoliation smooths away roughness, a rich mask restores hydration, and a slow massage of the hands and forearms — or feet and calves — releases tension built up over the day.
This is a beauty and self-care service in the SPA spirit — not an afterthought, but a deliberate moment for yourself. At J'adore Instytut, the ritual is performed by a cosmetologist. Below you'll find everything worth knowing — and why people come back to it as a gift for themselves or someone close.
a stand-alone ritual, also great as a regular treatment or an add-on to a manicure/pedicure
HANDS & FEET
SPA Hands & Feet is a regenerative ritual focused on the skin — not the nails. It combines several stages that together achieve what a single home cream can't: exfoliating the rough surface layer, deep hydration under occlusion from a mask, and a relaxing massage.
Most importantly: it's as much about pleasure as it is about skincare. Warmth, a slow pace, a massage of the hands and forearms or feet and calves — your body releases tension, and you actually get to rest for a moment. That's where the name SPA comes from: it's about regenerating the skin and the mind at the same time.
How it works
The palms and soles are among the few areas of the body without sebaceous glands. They don't produce their own layer of oil, the kind that slows water loss on the face or back — and at the same time, the stratum corneum here is the thickest and most exposed to friction, detergents and repeated washing throughout the day. The result is predictable: water escapes faster than the skin can replace it, the stratum corneum stiffens, and stiff skin flakes, roughens and cracks. That's why hands and feet dry out first, even though we moisturise them most often.
The ritual addresses this in three steps, each preparing the skin for the next. Exfoliation loosens dead cells in the outer layer, which otherwise absorbs product instead of letting it through — so the mask reaches skin that's genuinely ready to receive its ingredients. Then occlusion takes over: the mask seals hydrated skin under a layer impermeable to water vapour, so instead of evaporating, water stays in the epidermis and restores its elasticity — and elastic skin stops roughening. The third step, massage, works beyond the skin itself — slow, rhythmic touch on such densely innervated areas shifts the nervous system into rest mode. That's the source of the characteristic heavy, "sinking" feeling in hands and feet by the end of the session.

Did you know? Fingertips and soles have some of the densest sensory nerve endings in the entire body — which is why a hand or foot massage feels far more intense than a back massage performed with the same pressure. It's the same property that lets you recognise fabric texture by touch alone, in the dark.
Ideal for
For her and for him
Most often it's a ritual of regeneration and pleasure — a moment to breathe in a busy day, and an answer to hand skin that ages faster than the face. This is a classic SPA for hands and feet for women: smoothness, hydration, a well-groomed look, and genuine relaxation in one.
The areas we support
SPA for hands and feet for men is above all about regenerating heavily worn skin — rough, overworked hands and overloaded feet. It's a natural addition to a men's manicure and men's pedicure, with no "beauty salon" fuss — pure regeneration and relief.
The areas we support
Did you know? The skin on the backs of the hands is thinner and has fewer sebaceous glands than facial skin, and it's washed and sun-exposed all day — which is why it ages faster than the face, even though it usually gets the least attention. A regular SPA ritual helps make up for that imbalance.
The visit
The hand variant and the foot variant follow the same logic — they differ in the area covered, and feet get more attention for hardened skin. The whole thing is carried out at a calm, "spa" pace.

Warm soak and preparation
warming and softening the skin so the following steps can work more deeply.

Exfoliating peel
sugar or enzyme-based; removes the rough, dull layer and smooths the skin.

Rich hydrating mask
applied under occlusion (warm gloves/socks) so the ingredients genuinely penetrate instead of sitting on the surface.
Relaxation/lymphatic massage
of the hands and forearms or feet and calves; releases tension and improves the feeling of lightness.
Finish: serum, oil and cream
locks in hydration and smoothness; skin is immediately soft and "plumped".
What to expect
You can see and feel the result immediately — this is one of those treatments that makes you want to touch your own hands straight away. Skin is smoother, softer and noticeably better hydrated the moment you leave the salon.
The most common question is "how long will this last?". The treatment itself gives you a great start, but what you do at home decides the rest. A rich hand cream in the evening and foot balm at night are enough — the effect then lasts weeks, not days.

The most important habit. A rich hand cream in the evening and foot balm at night maintain the hydration from the ritual. The more consistent you are, the longer skin stays soft.
Frequent washing and cleaning products dry out the skin again. Wear gloves when cleaning or doing dishes — otherwise you'll quickly be back where you started.
The backs of the hands get as much sun as the face, yet we protect them the least. A hand cream with SPF is the simplest way to slow down ageing here.
After a foot ritual, avoid rough, open footwear for a while and keep moisturising your heels — this locks in the smoothness instead of wearing it away straight away.
HANDS & FEET · SPA hands / feet
There are few contraindications, and they're usually temporary — the point is to avoid exfoliation and massage irritating skin that's currently healing.
If you have fresh cuts, abrasions, open cracks, active inflammation, weeping lesions or a skin infection (e.g. fungal) on your hands or feet — skip exfoliation and massage in that area and let the specialist know. We'll either wait until the skin heals or choose a gentler variant. If you suspect athlete's foot or notice changes that need treatment, the right direction is podology, not the SPA ritual.
During pregnancy, the ritual is safe — simply let the specialist know, and she'll choose a comfortable position and a gentler massage. It's actually one of the more pleasant ways to relieve swollen, tired feet during this time.
