Will the bonds show when my hair is up?
When applied correctly, flat Hairtalk tapes are very hard to spot — even with a smooth bun. Your stylist places them in layers that your own hair covers when styled up. The initial placement is key — that's why we discuss the hairstyles you plan to wear during your consultation and adjust strand placement accordingly.
I have balayage with graduated tones — can the strand colour be matched?
Yes, your current balayage, tone and regrowth are all taken into account during colour matching. Branded Hairtalk strands come in a wide range of tones, and your stylist often blends several shades for a natural transition. For a very individual balayage pattern, it's worth bringing photos or coming to your consultation with your current colour visible.
Can I use the sauna and swimming pool?
Yes, within reason. In the first few days after application, avoid heavy soaking and hot steam — the tapes need time to bond fully. After that: tie your hair up before swimming, wash it thoroughly after chlorine or salt water, and dry it with heat protection. Sauna use is fine occasionally, not intensively — the bonds don't do well with prolonged heat.
Can Hairtalk extensions be dyed?
Extension hair reacts differently to dye than your own hair, so we don't change the strand colour with standard dye on the spot. Colour is matched at the start or when strands are replaced. If you want to change the colour of your own hair, your colourist will factor this in when choosing new strands for the next cycle.
What if my hair is very fine — will it hold the tapes?
Your stylist assesses this during your consultation: the thickness and condition of your own hair directly determine whether tape-in is the right choice at this time. With very delicate hair, extensions could weigh it down rather than enhance it. An honest "not yet — see a trichologist first" is a value, not a refusal.
