Types of acne scars — key to choosing the right method
Before choosing a treatment method, it helps to understand the type of scarring involved. Each type calls for a different approach.
Treatment methods available at J'ADORE INSTYTUT
At J'ADORE INSTYTUT we use several complementary methods. The choice depends on the type of scarring, skin phototype and expected recovery time.
How do you match a method to your type of scarring?
No single method works for every type of scar. In practice, we most often use combined protocols — tailored after a diagnostic consultation.
- Shallow, wide (rolling) → fractional microneedling RF + Dermapen
- Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) → fractional laser + medical peels
- Deep, narrow (ice pick) → TCA Cross (essential) plus laser as a complement
- Wide, deep (boxcar) → laser + fractional microneedling RF + possibly HA fillers
- Mixed (the most common case) → combined protocol tailored individually
How long does treatment take?
Realistically, visible improvement is possible after 6–12 months of regular sessions. Skin needs time to remodel collagen — several to over a dozen weeks must pass between sessions.
- After around 3 months: skin texture is often noticeably better
- After around 6 months: scars are usually shallower and less visible
- After around 12 months: many people reach their maximum improvement — scars may not disappear completely, but they become clearly less visible
What does the consultation at J'ADORE INSTYTUT involve?
We always start scar treatment with a diagnostic consultation. We assess the type and depth of scarring, your skin phototype and any previous treatment — and only then propose a protocol.
We perform treatments in Warsaw (Żelazna 59 and Mińska 29A) and in Krakow (Karmelicka 45).
