Grey skin in men — what's behind it
Men's skin is biologically thicker than women's — by around 20–30%. The good news: you have a natural shield. The bad news: thicker skin traps more pollutants in the pores, produces more sebum, and copes worse with lack of sleep and high cortisol levels. Daily shaving adds a micro-trauma to the skin. Without proper cleansing, you can look tired even after 8 hours of sleep.
Then there's the environment. Air in Warsaw and Krakow means regular exposure to PM2.5 and PM10 particles, which penetrate the skin's surface and blunt its ability to regenerate. Skin turns grey, loses firmness, and starts to look coated in dust. It isn't about the pores. It's that your skin stays in defence mode non-stop, with no chance to reset.
How Geneo works — no theory, just facts
Geneo is a system that combines three actions at once: mechanical cleansing (deeper than a standard peel), tissue oxygenation from within (through a chemical reaction under the skin, not an external application), and infusion of active ingredients at the exact moment the skin is most receptive. This isn't a generic spa treatment. It's a sequence designed so each step reinforces the next.
- 01
step
Cleansing and exfoliation — the applicator head removes dead skin cells and unblocks pores clogged with sebum and pollutants, which is what makes skin look dull and grey.
- 02
step
Tissue oxygenation — the OxyPod effect: a capsule in contact with the skin triggers a reaction that releases CO₂, stimulating the skin's natural oxygen and blood flow — no needles, no pressurised external oxygen.
- 03
step
Active ingredient infusion — at this stage, skin is "open" and absorbs ingredients more effectively than any cream applied at home. The blend is selected for your specific concern: fatigue, greyness, or early signs of ageing.
- 04
step
Ultrasonic massage — the treatment's finishing step: it calms the skin, gently tightens pores, and evens out skin tone. You leave with skin that looks like you've been on holiday, not like you've just had a treatment.
For men, we select an applicator head with a slightly more intensive cleansing action — thicker skin and deeper pores need a stronger impulse. The settings differ from those used for women, but the visual result is comparable: cleansed, firmer skin with an even tone.
Zero downtime — key for men
No redness. No peeling. No questions from colleagues. After the treatment, you can go straight back to the office, a meeting, or the gym — no "story" to explain. This is one of the main reasons Geneo is a treatment men come back for. The results are there, and no one asks what you did.
The only thing worth avoiding right after the treatment: intense exercise for a few hours, and the sauna until the next day. Not because anything will go wrong — your skin is simply maximally "open" and reacts more strongly to heat and sweat during this time. Otherwise, it's business as usual straight away.
Who Geneo makes the most sense for
This isn't a treatment for everyone, or for every occasion — it has specific indications where it delivers the best results:
- Grey, sallow skin after a long week, business travel, or nights in hotels — when you look "like you're ill", but you're not.
- Congested, enlarged pores, especially visible on the nose and cheeks — the result of built-up sebum and environmental pollutants.
- Early lines from dehydration and fatigue — before you turn to aesthetic medicine, it's worth checking how many of them "disappear" once your skin is hydrated and oxygenated.
- Skin affected by daily shaving — without regular care after the mechanical trauma of shaving, this builds up into roughness and an uneven skin tone.
- Preparing for an important event — a conference, a photoshoot, a wedding: booking Geneo 5–7 days beforehand gets the job done with no risk.
How often, and what to expect the first time
At your first visit, a specialist will assess your skin closely and select the version of the treatment for your specific concern. Different active-ingredient blends address greyness and fatigue, pore issues, or early signs of ageing. There's no single "default" version for men — the treatment is personalised.
Frequency depends on your lifestyle. For an intense pace of life — lots of travel, city living, stress — once every 3–4 weeks gives a clear cumulative effect. Skin improves not just "after the treatment", but overall. For a gentler lifestyle, once every 4–6 weeks is enough as a reset for the skin. You don't need to decide this before your first visit — we'll work it out after assessing your skin.
