A treatment room at J'adoreAESTHETIC MEDICINE
Grey, fatigued skin with no radiance, skin that stays dehydrated despite good care, the first fine lines, a "dull" tone — these are all signs that your skin is missing something a cream can't deliver. Needle mesotherapy is a series of micro-injections of a nourishing cocktail (most often hyaluronic acid combined with vitamins, amino acids and peptides) delivered just below the skin's surface.
It works in two ways. It delivers active ingredients deeper, bypassing the epidermal barrier, and the micro-injections themselves gently stimulate skin renewal. This is a "nourishing and hydrating" treatment — it doesn't change your facial features, it "wakes up" and refreshes your skin. At J'adore Instytut, it's performed by an experienced cosmetologist. Below you'll find everything worth knowing before your first visit — including why this is a "series" treatment, and why cocktail prices vary.

How it works
Needle mesotherapy is a series of micro-injections of a nourishing cocktail delivered just below the skin's surface — most often hyaluronic acid combined with vitamins, amino acids, minerals and peptides. Your skin receives ingredients exactly where a cream can't reach: below the epidermal barrier, in the layer where they actually work.
It works in two ways. First, it delivers a concentrate of active ingredients deep into the skin. Second, the precise micro-injections themselves gently stimulate skin renewal. This is a "nourishing and hydrating" treatment — light, regular, gentler than tissue biostimulators. It doesn't change your facial features or expression: it refreshes, hydrates and "wakes up" the skin, restoring its radiance.

Did you know? "Meso" comes from mesoderm — the middle layer of skin that we target with active ingredients. The method of injecting nourishing micro-doses has roots in French medicine dating back decades; today it's one of the most popular treatments for skin quality.
Ideal for
The most common areas are face, neck, décolletage and hands — the areas most exposed to time and sun. The specialist decides on the series plan and cocktail after assessing your skin.
Women's areas and men's areas
The goal is most often radiance, hydration and prevention — "refreshing" the skin, preparing it before a season or event, supporting dehydrated, tired skin. This is classic needle mesotherapy for women, often part of a broader "skin quality" plan alongside hydrating treatments.
The areas we support
Here, the main goal is revitalising tired, grey skin exposed to stress, sun and daily shaving — usually without regular SPF. This is needle mesotherapy for men: the result should be discreet — healthier, better-hydrated skin without any visible "change".
The areas we support
Did you know? The same type of cocktail that brightens the face also nourishes hands and décolletage beautifully — areas that give away age fastest, and get the least attention in home care.
Safety
Needle mesotherapy is a treatment involving a needle — though cosmetic in nature, it requires proper qualification. Three things decide the outcome and safety, and they're worth asking about in any salon:
At J'adore, mesotherapy is carried out by an experienced cosmetologist — the specialist assesses your skin condition, chooses the cocktail and injection depth, and takes a full history. If there's any medical doubt — unusual skin changes, chronic illness, medication use — she refers you to a doctor. Safety always comes before scheduling.
We work only with products from authorised distributors, stored in the required conditions. Effectiveness and safety depend directly on the quality of the cocktail — a product of unknown origin means an unpredictable result.
Single-use needles, sterile conditions, even, shallow application. How and with what the treatment is performed matters just as much as the product itself.
Red flag: suspiciously cheap mesotherapy · A bargain price can be the first warning sign — for a needle-based treatment, the cocktail's origin and storage matter just as much as technique. You have every right to ask about the product's name, its origin, and who's performing the treatment. A good salon will answer without hesitation.
Contraindications
Some contraindications are permanent (or require individual assessment), while others are temporary — in that case, we simply postpone the treatment until the situation passes.
From the specialist's chair
The thing people forget most often: cold sores. "I only have it on my lip, and mesotherapy is on the cheeks — that shouldn't be a problem, right?" It is a problem. An active virus is a risk regardless of where it appears. It's better to postpone by a few days.
This isn't a complete list — we'll go through your medication, health conditions and previous treatments individually during consultation, and the specialist will refer you to a doctor if there's any medical doubt.

The visit

Skin assessment and consultation
the specialist assesses your skin's condition, chooses the cocktail and area, and asks about allergies, medical conditions and medication. This is where we rule out contraindications.

Cleansing
the skin is thoroughly cleansed before treatment.

Anaesthetic (on request)
numbing cream for comfort; more sensitive areas (such as around the eyes) can feel more tender, though the treatment is generally well tolerated.

Micro-injections
the cocktail is delivered through a series of shallow injections, applied manually or with a device (dermapen), evenly covering the area. The whole session takes a matter of several dozen minutes.

After the treatment and series plan
a soothing preparation, aftercare guidance (SPF above all), and your next appointment booked straightaway — because this is a "series" treatment.
What to expect
Most important: real value comes from the series, not a single session. A single visit delivers hydration and a "fresher" look almost immediately, but a lasting improvement in skin condition comes from the full cycle — this is a cumulative treatment, where each session builds on the last.
I sometimes hear after one session: "nice, but I expected more". That's natural — mesotherapy works cumulatively. That's why we plan a series from the start and set the intervals, rather than judging results after the first visit.

A record of results — in preparation. We publish photographs of our clients only with their consent.
Results last a few months, which is why mesotherapy is repeated in cycles and maintained with single sessions — depending on skin condition, age and lifestyle.
Mesotherapy and your lifestyle
The most common questions aren't about the treatment itself, but about what comes after: makeup, sauna, swimming pool, sun, acids. There's one rule — in the first hours and days, we protect freshly treated skin from irritation and infection, and avoid provoking bruising.
Freshly treated skin needs a moment. It's best to skip makeup for around a day — after that, no restrictions.
High temperatures and chlorinated water cause irritation and encourage swelling. Sauna, hammam, swimming pool — best left for a day or two.
Training before the treatment isn't a problem. After the treatment, skip intense exercise for a day or two — significantly increased circulation encourages bruising.
Avoid sunbathing and sunbeds. For the first week, daily SPF 50+ is mandatory — freshly stimulated skin is more prone to pigmentation.
Pause strong acids and retinol for around a week — post-treatment care should be gentle. It's also worth pausing them a few days before your visit.
Alcohol dilates blood vessels and increases the risk of bruising — best to skip it on the day of the treatment. You can go back to normal straight after.
Needle mesotherapy
These treatments are often confused, because they all "improve skin quality" — but they work differently, which is exactly why they complement each other rather than replace one another:
nourishes and hydrates the skin
won't build as much collagen as biostimulators, won't fill wrinkles, won't relax expression lines
build collagen and density
these are "heavier" treatments — they don't give as quick and light a "glow" as mesotherapy
introduces ingredients without injections
doesn't reach as deep as needle mesotherapy — the result is more subtle

Combine with
Where density, volume or expression are in play alongside skin quality, we combine mesotherapy with other treatments. The specialist decides on the order and intervals during consultation, but the general logic stays the same — the least invasive treatments usually come first:
What I hear most often: "I want mesotherapy for firmness and collagen." Mesotherapy nourishes and hydrates beautifully, but biostimulators and Profhilo work harder on density and firmness. Simple rule: want glow and hydration → mesotherapy. Want density and firmness → biostimulator. The best results come from combining both over time.
Products and cocktails
The term "needle mesotherapy" covers several families of cocktails, which differ in the number and type of ingredients, concentration, the presence of additives (such as hyaluronic acid), and intended use. You don't choose a cocktail "off the shelf" — the specialist selects it to match your skin's needs, condition and the treatment's goal.
A multi-ingredient revitalising cocktail — hyaluronic acid combined with a rich blend of vitamins, amino acids, minerals and coenzymes. Comprehensive skin "nourishment" in a single product.
Dla kogoTired, grey skin that needs "a bit of everything".
Combines hyaluronic acid with amino acids, available in variants of different concentration and volume. Focused on deeper hydration and revitalisation.
Dla kogoWhen stronger hydration and restoring skin comfort matter alongside nourishment.
A balanced combination of hyaluronic acid and amino acids in a lighter formula — collagen stimulation and gentle revitalisation.
Dla kogoFirst fine lines, prevention, younger skin, or starting a series.
A family of peptide cocktails with targeted action — a range of formulas aimed at specific needs rather than one universal product.
Dla kogoWhen skin needs something more "targeted" than universal nourishment.
Fact: No. This is a nourishing and hydrating treatment — it doesn't add volume, doesn't fill wrinkles, and doesn't affect facial expression. It refreshes the skin: it improves radiance, hydration and tone, but doesn't change your features. For folds, there are HA fillers. For expression lines, there's Botox.
Fact: Cream works on the surface. Mesotherapy delivers ingredients deeper — below the skin barrier, where a cosmetic product can't reach. Good home care is a great addition to the results, but it can't replace them.
Fact: A single visit gives an almost immediate "glow" effect, but a lasting improvement in skin condition comes from the full cycle — this is a cumulative treatment, where each session builds on the last. That's why we plan a series every 2–4 weeks from the start.
Fact: The light formula also works well for men's skin — dried out and irritated by daily shaving, usually without regular SPF use. The result is discreet: healthier, better-hydrated skin without any visible "change".
Fact: Where do price differences come from? Several factors are at play: the number and type of ingredients (multi-ingredient cocktails tend to cost more than simple ones), the concentration of active ingredients (higher means more expensive), the presence of additives (products containing hyaluronic acid), the variant and intended use, and the brand and origin. As always, the conclusion is the same: more expensive doesn't mean "better for everyone" — it means "different, for a different need". The right cocktail is chosen by the specialist after assessing your skin, not by the name on the box.
