How does men's skin differ?
Men's skin is around 25% thicker. That's why wrinkles appear later — but once they do, they tend to be deeper. Sebaceous glands work harder, producing up to 2–3 times more sebum than women's skin, which encourages oiliness, blackheads and acne.
- Skin thickness — 25% thicker than women's skin; wrinkles appear later, but tend to be deeper once they do
- Sebum — higher production encourages oiliness and blackheads
- Collagen — higher density, but it can decline sharply after age 40
- Shaving — daily shaving causes micro-injuries, irritation and ingrown hairs
- Home care — often minimal; neglect adds up after 40
HydraFacial for men
HydraFacial is one of the best-suited treatments for oily and combination skin — exactly the skin type most men have. It combines deep cleansing, exfoliation and hydration in a single session.
The result is clean, refreshed skin without a "plastic" look. Natural radiance — not shine. Many men notice an improvement in skin texture after just one session.
Botox for men — a different technique
Men need different doses and a different technique than women. The goal isn't to smooth out every wrinkle, but to refresh the face while preserving natural expression.
- Brows — for men, we set them horizontally or slightly angled downward, never arched as with women
- Forehead — the muscles are thicker, so they usually require higher doses
- Crow's feet — the technique is similar to the one used for women, with the priority being to preserve a natural expression
Profhilo for men — rejuvenation without exaggeration
Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid-based preparation that reorganises the skin's matrix — it densifies it, hydrates it and improves elasticity. Unlike classic fillers, it doesn't add volume or contour features.
The treatment is usually performed as a series of two sessions, about a month apart. For many patients, results last several months.
Medical peels — oily skin
Oily and combination skin often responds well to BHA peels and PRX-T33 biostimulation. Regular sessions can help reduce blackheads, smooth texture and even out skin tone.
- BHA peel (salicylic acid) — penetrates pores, cleanses and mattifies; recommended for oily and acne-prone skin
- PRX-T33 — biostimulation without exfoliation; improves texture and tone with no recovery period
HA fillers for men
Men less often choose lip contouring. They're more likely to be interested in correcting nasolabial folds, hollowed temples or adding volume to the jawline to define the facial contour.
- Jawline volumetry — firm HA can define the contour of a "strong jaw"
- Nasolabial folds — soft HA softens wrinkles naturally
- Temples — correction of hollowed temples in older patients
Home care routine for men
The results of in-clinic treatments can be significantly extended with regular home care. It doesn't need to be complicated — what matters is consistency with three key steps.
- Oily skin / pores: niacinamide 10% (sebum regulation), BHA toner every other evening, oil-free SPF
- After shaving: an alcohol-free soothing toner, a balm with ceramides instead of cologne, a sharp razor head (a blunt one causes ingrown hairs)
