A treatment room at J'adoreBROWS & LASHES
Brows that "grow as they please" — one hair pointing up, another sideways, a third one curling — can age and tire the whole look, no matter how perfect the rest of your makeup is. Brow lamination is a styling "brow lift": special formulas briefly relax the hair's internal structure, we set each hair in the chosen direction (usually upward), then fix that pattern in place for several weeks.
The result: lifted, disciplined, visually denser and fuller brows — no more sticking down every stray hair each morning. This is a cosmetic styling service, not a medical treatment: we don't break the skin, there are no needles, no "healing" involved. At J'adore Instytut it's carried out by a brow & lash stylist. Below you'll find everything worth knowing before your first visit.
1 visit; we repeat once the hairs start returning to their original pattern
How it works
Brow hair has its own "shape memory" — it grows in the direction it's used to, and it won't change on its own. Lamination works on this pattern in three steps: first, a formula briefly relaxes the hair's internal structure, making it soft and pliable; then the stylist combs and sets each hair in the chosen direction on a special rod; finally, a second formula fixes this new pattern and closes the hair structure.
The result is a "brow lift" with no skin involvement — brows look lifted, tidy and denser, because evenly set hairs cover gaps better. Everything happens on the hair itself: we don't break the skin, there are no needles, no wound to heal. That's why we call it styling, not a medical treatment.

We often combine lamination with henna or dye (colour and shape in one visit) and with shaping (a refined contour). It's a natural trio — pattern, colour and contour complement each other.
Ideal for
The women's approach and the men's approach
The goal is usually lifting and "opening up" the gaze as well as a visually fuller, well-groomed brow. This is classic brow lamination for women — often paired with henna (colour) and shaping (contour), so you leave one visit with a fully finished eye-area look.
The areas we support
Men's brows are often denser, stiffer and more unruly — a common reason men opt for lamination. The goal here differs from a "dramatic lift": it's about taming and organising the brow so it looks well-groomed but fully natural. This is brow lamination for men — with zero "done" look.
The areas we support
Fun fact: lamination doesn't add a single new hair — it doesn't "thicken" brows literally. The whole "fuller brow" effect comes from geometry: when all the hairs lie evenly in one direction, they stop leaving gaps and the eye reads a compact, denser brow. It's optics, not magic.
The patch test
Lamination, and especially its henna or dye variants, relies on chemical and colouring formulas applied close to the eye and skin. Most people tolerate them well, but skin can surprise you — especially on first contact with a given formula, or after switching cosmetics.
If a salon offers lamination with henna or dye "on the spot", without asking about allergies and without a patch test, that's a warning sign. For colouring or chemical formulas, the test is a safety standard, not a waste of time. You have every right to ask for one, and a good salon will offer it without being asked.
Contraindications
Some contraindications are permanent, others temporary — in that case, we simply postpone the styling until the skin is back in shape. It's a short, natural list — with no medical drama:
If the hairs are clearly dehydrated, brittle or strained by frequent repeat treatments, lamination could weaken them further. A good stylist will advise against the treatment in this case and suggest a conditioning course first — we sort out hair condition before styling it. Refreshing lamination too often is a common mistake that costs your brows their quality.
This isn't an exhaustive list — we'll discuss your skin, allergies and styling history individually during the consultation.
The visit

Consultation and analysis
the stylist checks the direction of growth, density and condition of your hairs, and asks about your desired effect (subtle tidying or a more visible lift).

Patch test
if you choose the henna/dye variant, we carry this out before the treatment (in advance).

Relaxing the structure
the first formula softens the hairs so they can be set.

Setting
the stylist combs and fixes each hair on a rod in the chosen direction.

Fixing
the second formula "locks in" the new pattern; we often add a conditioning treatment for the hair.
Optional colour and shape
henna/dye and/or shaping, if you've chosen a package.
Aftercare guidance
you'll receive clear rules for the first few hours and days (below).
What to expect
Most important: brows only "settle" after the first 24 hours. Right after the treatment, they may look slightly more lifted and "fresh" than the final result — that's normal. After a day, the pattern stabilises and you'll see the natural, final effect.
The most common "panic" is a phone call an hour after leaving the salon: "my brows are too high / too stiff". No need to worry — this isn't the final result yet. Hairs need a day to settle and soften. Judge your brows the next day, not in the lift.
Portfolio

A record of results — in preparation. We publish photographs of our clients only with their consent.
The effect is temporary and fades gently as hair naturally turns over — your brows simply return to their own pattern, nothing "goes wrong". This means you can safely test whether lamination suits you, with no lasting commitment.
Aftercare after lamination
The most common questions aren't about the visit itself, but about what comes after: water, showers, sauna, makeup, sleep. There's one rule — for the first hours and days, we don't want the freshly set pattern to "shift" under the influence of water, oils or friction.
For the first 24 hours, don't wet your brows — avoid thorough face washing in that area, long facial showers and steam. The fresh pattern needs time to set.
For around two days, skip oils, greasy creams and oil-based conditioners on the brows themselves — oil loosens the set. After that, brow oil is actually welcome.
This matters: on the first night, don't sleep with your face pressed into the pillow. Friction against freshly set hairs can "shift" the pattern on one side.
Hot steam, sauna and chlorinated water act like intense wetting. It's best to skip these for the first 1–2 days.
On the first day, leave your brows alone — no pomades, no gels, no rubbing. Introduce coloured brow makeup (if you need it at all) from the following day.
Once the pattern has stabilised, introduce a brow conditioner or serum. Lamination temporarily "opens" the hair, so regular care helps keep it in good condition between visits.

Information. Brow lamination is a cosmetic styling service (brow styling); the result is temporary and depends on your natural hair cycle and home care. For colouring or chemical formulas (such as the henna or dye variant), we carry out a patch test before the treatment. The above text is for information purposes. Details and the choice of variant are determined by the stylist during your visit.
