When you hear the word peel, you probably picture exfoliation. Skin that "peels" for a few days, redness, recovery time behind closed blinds. That's a fair picture — for years, that's exactly how chemical peels worked: they hit the epidermis, caused controlled damage, and forced regeneration.

PRX-T33 contains trichloroacetic acid (TCA) — the same acid that, at higher concentrations, ranks among the strongest chemical peels, capable of deep epidermal damage and a week of recovery. And here's where it gets interesting: how can the same ingredient be used in a way that doesn't exfoliate or damage the surface?

The answer lies in what the TCA is combined with. In the PRX-T33 formula, trichloroacetic acid works alongside hydrogen peroxide in a carefully calibrated ratio. That combination changes everything. Hydrogen peroxide acts as a kind of "brake" on the TCA — it slows its penetration through the epidermis just enough that the acid doesn't have time to damage it, while not blocking its path to the deeper layers of the dermis.
