Your skin looks good overall — but the pores on your nose and cheeks resemble a grid, and the texture stays uneven no matter what you wash your face with. This is a classic pattern for men's skin: it produces more sebum than women's skin, has a thicker epidermis, and responds more slowly to over-the-counter products. Traditional peels only reach the surface. Nanopore with the DermaQuest protocol goes deeper. No exaggerated "treated" look, no downtime — just a real difference in skin quality you can see and feel.

Why pores are a different problem in men

Men's skin differs structurally from women's — and this has real consequences. It's thicker and more sebaceous, producing more sebum, especially in the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin). This is an advantage in one way — it ages more slowly. In another way, it's the direct cause of enlarged pores, shine and uneven texture.

Sebum builds up in the pores and mixes with dead skin cells. Pores stretch, lose elasticity and become visible — especially on the nose, cheeks and around the chin. Washing your face helps with hygiene, but it doesn't address the real issue: tightening the pore from within and evening out the epidermal structure.

What is Nanopore DermaQuest and how does it work?

Nanopore is a treatment protocol that combines mechanical pore cleansing with active acid-based skincare — in this case, using DermaQuest products designed for demanding skin. The treatment works in two stages. First, it clears pores of built-up sebum and dead cells. Then it delivers ingredients that reduce oil production and improve skin cohesion.

The result is noticeably finer texture, less visible pores and a matte finish — without dryness or irritation. Skin looks well cared for afterwards, not "done". This matters, because most men come in with exactly one question: will it show that I've had anything done?

Over-the-counter peel

daily skincare

  • cleanses the surface of the epidermis
  • removes dead cells from the stratum corneum
  • shows results after weeks of regular use

Nanopore DermaQuest

in-salon treatment

  • cleanses pore channels in depth
  • regulates sebum production
  • evens out skin texture after one visit
  • formula tailored to thicker men's skin

Who is this treatment for?

Not every man needs Nanopore. But there are a few situations where it makes more sense than anything else:

  • Enlarged pores visible to the naked eye — especially on the nose, cheeks and chin. Pores don't shrink on their own; you can tighten them, but it takes deeper cleansing and sebum regulation.
  • Uneven skin texture — roughness, thickened patches, a "grainy" feel under your fingers. The mechanism: excess dead cells plus sebum equals blocked pores and an uneven surface.
  • Shiny skin despite washing — if your skin looks "shiny" just a few hours after washing, it's a sign that sebum production is higher than standard products can control.
  • Minor blackheads, but no active inflammation — Nanopore works well for open and closed comedones, before the problem develops into full-blown acne.
  • Post-acne skin — when active breakouts have cleared, but the texture remains permanently uneven. The treatment can help even out the surface and reduce the visibility of acne scars.

Zero downtime — what to expect during and after your visit

The first question men ask at the salon: "Will it show that I've had this done?" The honest answer: usually not. After Nanopore, your skin may be slightly red immediately after the treatment — this fades within an hour or two. There's no flaking, no peeling, no visible aftermath. You can leave and go straight to a meeting.

  1. 01

    Skin assessment

We examine your skin — the type of sebum production, degree of pore enlargement, and areas that need particular attention. There's no "one-size-fits-all" protocol.

  2. 02

    Cleansing and preparation

Your skin is thoroughly cleansed and prepared for the treatment — removing makeup and surface sebum.

  3. 03

    Nanopore + DermaQuest

The core stage of the treatment: deep cleansing of the pore channels and application of active ingredients selected for your skin.

  4. 04

    Finish and protection

A finishing treatment is applied — supporting skin cohesion and the protective barrier. SPF protection if you're heading out during the day.

Results are usually visible after the first visit — skin looks smoother, more matte and more defined. For many people, the full effect of smoother texture and tighter pores builds up over a series of regular sessions. We'll suggest a plan tailored to your skin — there's no single answer for everyone.

How to maintain results — skincare that actually works

The in-salon treatment does the heavy lifting, but results last longer if you use a few things daily. This isn't about an 8-step routine. It's about 3 products that address the specific problem:

  • A facial cleansing gel — not body soap. Ordinary soap changes your skin's pH, which paradoxically triggers the sebaceous glands to produce more sebum. A facial gel formulated for combination or oily skin works differently.
  • A toner or serum with acids (AHA/BHA). Salicylic acid is particularly effective at regulating sebum and "opening" pores — a few times a week is enough. Not daily, to avoid over-drying.
  • SPF cream in the morning — always. UV radiation enlarges pores and speeds up collagen breakdown. Sunscreen is the one thing that makes a real difference in the long term.

Cavitation peel

Ultrasonic skin cleansing before Nanopore — removes sebum and dead cells from the surface, preparing your skin for deeper product absorption.

Needle mesotherapy

For skin with more than just pore concerns — also loss of density and elasticity. Combining texture refinement (Nanopore) with structural rebuilding (mesotherapy) gives a comprehensive result.

Ultrasonic cleansing

An option for more sensitive skin or for your first visit — a gentler form of cleansing, good for regular maintenance.

Two common concerns — and honest answers

Most men have two questions before they even book a visit. It's best to answer them directly.

"Does it hurt?" — Nanopore is a non-invasive treatment. There are no needles, no incisions. The cleansing stage may feel slightly uncomfortable if your pores are sensitive or you have blackheads, but for most men the treatment is comfortable throughout. If anything feels unpleasant, just say so — we'll adjust the intensity.

"Is this for me, or just for guys off Instagram?" — This question comes up every time a man first considers a cosmetology salon. The answer is simple: Nanopore targets a specific physiological problem — excess sebum, blocked pores, uneven texture. Your skin doesn't know what you think about beauty salons. It just knows it has too much sebum and enlarged pores. The treatment addresses the problem — no judgement about why you came in.
