Why does the skin on the arms become lax?
Lax skin on the arms rarely has a single cause. Usually several factors combine, together contributing to reduced tone and the appearance of characteristic "wings".
- Collagen loss (ageing) — collagen production gradually declines after the age of 25, resulting in reduced skin elasticity
- Muscle mass loss — sarcopenia is a natural part of ageing, made worse by a sedentary lifestyle; an inactive triceps loses volume and tone
- Significant weight fluctuations — skin that repeatedly stretches and contracts loses elasticity
- Genetics — fat distribution and a tendency towards "wings" can be hereditary
Methods available at J'ADORE INSTYTUT
Depending on the severity of the problem and your individual needs, we select methods that work at different levels — on the dermis, deeper tissues or muscle.
RF — arm thermolifting
Radiofrequency (RF) heats the dermis, triggering processes that stimulate new collagen production. Over time, the skin can become firmer and denser.
- Improved skin firmness — often visible a few weeks after the series
- Denser skin around the triceps
- Non-invasive treatment, with zero downtime
NIR — infrared thermolifting
Near-infrared (NIR) technology enables deeper tissue thermolifting. The energy penetrates further than classic RF, reaching deeper layers of skin and soft tissue.
CSM Slim (HIFEM) — muscle electrostimulation
Focused HIFEM electromagnetic energy induces intense contractions of the triceps muscle — a form of forced training that's not achievable through ordinary exercise.
LPG Alliance — arm endermology
Mechanical massage with an RF option (the Alliance device) improves circulation, can reduce skin irregularities and supports body contouring around the arms.
- Improved circulation and microcirculation in the tissue
- Supports body contouring
- Gentle stimulation — well tolerated by most people
A comprehensive protocol — "arms without wings"
Best results are usually achieved by combining methods that work on both muscle and skin at the same time. Below is a sample plan, which we tailor individually during your consultation.
- Months 1–2: CSM Slim (building muscle tone) + NIR (skin thermolifting)
- Months 2–3: RF (continued skin lifting and collagen stimulation)
- Maintenance: LPG or RF once a month, complemented by strength training at home
Complementary exercise — essential!
Treatments enhance results, but without regular muscle activity, laxity can return. Even a short daily triceps workout makes a difference.
- Chair dips — 3 sets of around 12 reps a day
- Overhead press with light weights, 3 sets of around 10 reps
- Modified push-ups — 3 sets of around 10 reps
