A treatment room at J'adoreBODY CONTOURING & SLIMMING
Cellulite isn't "punishment for a sandwich" — it's a structural issue in the subcutaneous tissue, affecting the vast majority of women regardless of weight or how active they are. Beneath the skin, vertical connective-tissue septae, sluggish lymph flow and weakened microcirculation create the characteristic dimpled texture.
Cupping therapy tackles this mechanically, and surprisingly simply: instead of pressing tissue down like a classic massage, negative pressure lifts it up — this stimulates circulation, kick-starts lymphatic drainage and releases fascial adhesions that hands alone cannot "massage out". It's a technique rooted in Chinese medicine, combined with modern understanding of cellulite — in the contouring version, we work mainly with a moving cup (sliding technique) on the thighs, buttocks and abdomen. At J'adore Instytut, the treatment is performed by an experienced cosmetologist. This treatment supports body contouring, ideally as a series and paired with other methods — it doesn't replace diet or exercise. Below you'll find everything worth knowing before your first visit.
series typically 8–10 sessions every 5–7 days, plus maintenance
How it works
A classic massage presses tissue down. Cupping works the opposite way — it creates negative pressure that lifts the skin and subcutaneous tissue upwards. This simple mechanism does several things at once: it dilates blood vessels and stimulates microcirculation, kick-starts lymphatic drainage (the removal of excess fluid) and releases fascial adhesions — stiff bands of connective tissue that hands alone cannot "massage out".
In the anti-cellulite version, we work mainly with the sliding technique — the cup is moved across oiled skin rather than left in one spot. This "reverse" motion reaches deeper than hands can and targets the structure responsible for cellulite dimpling. We use silicone cups — we control the intensity of the suction by squeezing them, and we continually adjust it to your comfort. No electricity, no needles, no fire.

Ideal for
An honest note: cupping supports contouring and noticeably improves skin texture, but it doesn't "burn fat" and doesn't replace diet or exercise. It gives the best results as part of a programme, not as a single session.
Women's zone and men's zone
The most common reason women visit is cellulite and "heavy" legs. We work mainly on the thighs, buttocks and abdomen — the goal is to smooth dimpled skin, drain fluid and improve firmness. This is classic cupping therapy for women in the anti-cellulite version, most often combined with Endermologia LPG for a stronger effect.
The areas we support
In men, classic cellulite is rarer — because the connective-tissue septae run diagonally rather than vertically. This is why men turn to cupping for other reasons: recovery after training, releasing tension and fascia, better microcirculation, and support for contouring the abdomen and love handles. This is cupping therapy for men in the role of a "reset" for overworked tissue.
The areas we support
Fun fact: cupping is one of the oldest treatments we offer — a technique known for thousands of years in Chinese medicine. Interestingly, it's also a favourite among athletes: the characteristic round marks on the backs of Olympic swimmers aren't injuries — they're traces of vascular activity caused by suction.
Safety
With anti-cellulite cupping, three things matter, and they're worth asking about at any salon:
Before starting a series, the cosmetologist assesses the degree of cellulite, checks for varicose veins and spider veins, and asks about medication and any tendency to bruise. Without this, we don't begin — it's not a formality, it's a safety requirement.
A silicone cup allows precise control of suction. Sliding tends to be gentler, static point work goes deeper — we choose according to your skin and comfort, not "as strong as possible for visible results".
A good salon says it plainly: cupping works as a series, supports contouring and combines best with other methods — it doesn't promise "minus 10 cm after one session".
Red flag: "a miraculous minus 10 cm after one session" · If you're told that cupping will "dissolve cellulite in one session" or guarantees specific measurements without a series, diet or exercise — that's a warning sign. No single session removes cellulite permanently; it's a structural issue that reduces gradually. A suspiciously cheap "miracle package" with no consultation and no questions about contraindications (varicose veins, blood-thinning medication) is another sign to look elsewhere.

Contraindications
Some contraindications are permanent, others temporary — in the latter case, we simply postpone the treatment or work outside the affected zone.
From the cosmetologist's chair
The most commonly overlooked issue is varicose veins and blood-thinning medication. Clients often think "it's just a massage." True, but the suction works quite intensely on blood vessels — with varicose veins, we work outside the zone, and with anticoagulants, we choose a gentler technique. That's why we ask about this during consultation, before starting the series.
This isn't a complete list — we'll review your medication, health conditions and previous treatments individually during consultation.

What to expect
Most importantly: cellulite reduces gradually, over a series — not after one visit. After the first session, you'll most likely feel lightness and less swelling; a more visible change in skin texture comes after several treatments, and a lasting improvement after a full series.
After the first visit, I often hear: "my legs feel lighter, but the cellulite is still there." That's completely normal — drainage works immediately, while rebuilding skin texture takes a series. That's why we plan a full cycle from the start, not a single session, and ideally combine cupping with another method.

Cupping and your lifestyle
Cupping doesn't take you out of your daily life — with the sliding technique, you return to your usual activities straight away. That said, a few simple rules help you get the most out of the series, since the drainage and circulatory effect responds well to lifestyle support.
After the treatment, drink plenty of water — it supports drainage and helps "flush out" what the suction has mobilised. Hydration is an ally in every anti-cellulite series.
Right after a session, skip intense exercise for a few hours — tissue needs a moment to settle. Regular movement between sessions, however, really supports the effect.
High temperatures intensify congestion right after cupping work — plan a sauna or hot bath for the following day, especially if some pinkness has appeared.
If redness remains after static point work, avoid intense sun or sunbed exposure until it fades. After that, no restrictions, with SPF.
Alcohol dilates blood vessels and intensifies congestion — it's best to skip it on the day of the treatment, so you don't add to any pinkness or slow down drainage.
Cupping works best when you support it from within: less salt and processed food, plenty of water, regular activity. This treatment is an ally to healthy habits, not a substitute for them.
