Exilis Ultra 360 (BTL) — treatment at J'adore Instytut

Exilis Ultra 360 (BTL)

Radiofrequency and ultrasound in a single applicator: heat remodels collagen, while the wave breaks down fibrous tissue within fat cells. Skin tightens and firms, and the contour improves — no needles, no downtime.

BODY CONTOURING & SLIMMING

Firmer skin, less volume
“heat and wave”

Lax skin along the facial contour, jowls near the jawline, a soft abdomen after pregnancy, cellulite on the thighs, a double chin, stubborn love handles — these concerns combine loss of skin firmness with localised excess fat tissue. Diet and training alone struggle to shift them, because they involve both collagen in the dermis and clusters of fat cells beneath it.

Exilis Ultra 360 by BTL is a non-invasive thermolifting treatment that combines radiofrequency (RF) and ultrasound simultaneously in a single applicator: ultrasound breaks down fibrous tissue within fat cells and separates fat cell clusters, while radiofrequency controllably heats the tissue to 40–42°C, releasing stored fat and contracting and remodelling collagen. The result is tighter, firmer skin and an improved contour — a lifted facial outline, and on the body, smoother skin and a better shape. This is a cosmetology device-based treatment with a care and contouring focus: it supports skin firmness and body contouring. It doesn't replace diet or exercise, and it doesn't promise "several centimetres off" after a single visit. At J'adore Instytut, the treatment is performed by an experienced cosmetologist — Exilis is available at our salon on Mińska 29A in Warsaw. Below you'll find everything worth knowing before your first visit.

How it works

How it works

Exilis Ultra 360 is a BTL platform. Its core feature is combining two technologies working simultaneously in a single applicator: radiofrequency (RF) and ultrasound. This combination sets it apart from devices that use radiofrequency alone — ultrasound and heat complement each other.

In short: ultrasound breaks down and separates, radiofrequency heats, releases fat and remodels collagen. On the face, the result is a tighter, firmer contour; on the body — smoother skin, less visible cellulite and improved contouring. This treatment involves no skin damage, no needles and no downtime — most people return to normal activities the same day. The session itself is pleasant: it's described as a warm, pain-free massage.

Three layers in cross-section: the epidermis at the surface, the dermis beneath it, and deepest of all the subcutaneous adipose tissue, which is what the treatment targets. Radiofrequency heats the dermis while ultrasound works deeper, within the fat layer. The specialist matches the number of sessions and the settings to the area.
  1. Epidermisthe surface the handpiece works on
  2. Dermisthe layer the stimulus passes through
  3. Subcutaneous adipose tissuethe aim of the treatment — we work here
  1. Ultrasoundmechanically breaks down fibrous tissue within fat cells and separates compact fat cell clusters, "opening up" the tissue for further work and better transport.
  2. Radiofrequency (RF)controllably heats the tissue to 40–42°C. This heat does two things at once: it stimulates fat cells to release stored fat, and it causes collagen contraction and remodelling — skin tightens "here and now", and over the following weeks builds new collagen (firmness and tightening).
  3. Temperature controlthe goal is to keep tissue within a safe, therapeutic range of 40–42°C: warm enough to stimulate collagen and fat, yet comfortable and without damaging the skin.

Ideal for

Ideal for

Exilis is versatile — it works on both the face and body. It's most often chosen by people who want:

  1. Lax facial skinjowls, a blurred jawline, loss of tone and firmness after age 35–40.
  2. Lax body skinthe abdomen after pregnancy or weight loss, inner thighs, arms.
  3. Cellulite"orange peel" texture on the thighs and buttocks that's hard to smooth with training alone.
  4. Localised excess fat tissuelove handles, a "muffin top", the knee area (Exilis supports reduction but doesn't replace a calorie deficit).
  5. Double chincombining firming with work on localised fat in one area.
  6. Loss of tone after pregnancy or weight losswhen the figure is already there, but the skin has been left behind.
  7. What this treatment won't do: it won't remove significant excess weight, replace liposuction, or replace diet, and it won't "melt away" several kilograms in a week. It's a tool for firming and contouring, most effective at a fairly stable weight and supported by lifestyle.

Women's zones and men's zones

What differs

For her

When skin loses tone that training can't restore

In women, Exilis Ultra 360 for women most often addresses two areas at once: the face (firming and lifting a sagging contour, sharpening the jawline, working on the chin) and the body (cellulite on the thighs and buttocks, lax abdominal skin after pregnancy, inner thighs and arms). The goal: smoother, firmer skin and a more defined body outline — with no needles and no downtime, delivered as a pleasant, warm massage.

The areas we support

  1. firming and lifting the facial contour and sharpening the jawline;
  2. cellulite on the thighs and buttocks — smoothing the "orange peel" texture;
  3. firming abdominal skin after pregnancy or weight loss;
  4. working on the contour of the thighs, arms and knee area.
For him

A contour that's fading -- and what to do about it

Men most often choose Exilis Ultra 360 for men for the body — stubborn love handles, the abdomen, firming after weight loss — as well as for the facial contour and chin, when the goal is a more defined, "tighter" jawline. Men's skin is thicker, so parameters are selected individually, but the logic is the same: ultrasound breaks down tissue, radiofrequency heats, releases fat and remodels collagen.

The areas we support

  1. love handles and the waist area — working on localised excess tissue;
  2. double chin and a blurred contour — a sharper, firmer jawline;
  3. firming skin after significant weight loss;
  4. the abdomen after weight loss — tightening skin where the figure is already there.

Did you know: the same device that lifts a sagging contour on the face smooths cellulite on the thighs — because it does the same thing everywhere: ultrasound breaks down fibrous tissue within fat cells, and radiofrequency heats it to 40–42°C, releasing fat and remodelling collagen. Only the applicator and zone change, not the mechanism.

Contraindications

When to postpone the treatment

Exilis is a radiofrequency treatment, so some contraindications stem directly from the current and the heat. Some are permanent, others temporary — in which case we simply postpone the session.

We don't perform it
  • A pacemaker, defibrillator or other implanted electronic devicean absolute contraindication for radiofrequency.
  • Metal implants in the treatment area(e.g. plates, screws) — require assessment and often rule out that specific area.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Active canceror a history of cancer without medical clearance.
  • Thrombosis, advanced venous insufficiency, recent varicose veins in the areaheat may be contraindicated.
  • Recent tanning or irritated, damaged skinin the treatment area — we wait until the skin has recovered.
  • Fever, infection, inflammationin the treatment area — we postpone until you've recovered.
  • Intrauterine device (for abdominal/lower abdomen treatments), severe clotting disorders, epilepsy — require individual assessment.

This isn't a complete list — we'll review your medical history, medications, implants and previous treatments individually at your consultation before the first session.

Honestly about results

What to really expect

The most common misunderstanding: expecting a dramatic change after one session. That's simply not how it works — and it's good that it doesn't, because a sudden change usually means someone is over-promising.

  1. Faza 1.immediately after the treatmentthe skin feels pleasantly warm and slightly tightened; mild redness and a warming sensation may occur, fading within a few hours
  2. Faza 2.during the seriesthe effect builds with each session — skin becomes firmer, the contour tighter, cellulite less visible; a series is usually 4–8 sessions every 7–14 days
  3. Faza 3.after the seriesthe fullest firming and contouring effect appears once collagen remodelling is complete
  4. Faza 4.in the following monthsmaintenance depends on lifestyle and follow-up maintenance sessions
After the first visit, I often hear: "my skin already feels tighter, but the abdomen looks the same." That's normal — the immediate tightening sensation comes from heat and collagen contraction, while real changes in contour and firmness come from the whole series. That's why we assess the treatment after a full cycle, not after a single session.
From the cosmetologist's chair
Red flag: "minus 10 cm in one session" and a suspiciously cheap package

If someone promises the loss of several centimetres after one visit, or sells a large package "at a bargain price" without a consultation or questions about contraindications — that's a warning sign. Radiofrequency builds results over weeks and through a series (usually 4–8 sessions every 7–14 days); a reputable salon starts with a consultation, checks contraindications (pacemaker, metal implants, pregnancy) and states plainly that the treatment alone won't produce weight loss without diet and movement. You're entitled to ask how many sessions are realistically planned and what to expect.

BODY CONTOURING & SLIMMING

What to expect during your visit

  1. Consultationthe cosmetologist assesses the zone, skin quality and your expectations, rules out contraindications (pacemaker, metal implants in the area, pregnancy, recent tanning) and sets a realistic series plan.
  2. Skin preparationcleansing and applying a gel or conductive medium, over which the applicator glides smoothly.
  3. Applicator workthe cosmetologist moves the applicator in circular motions over the zone. You feel pleasant, warming heat — tissue works within a controlled range of 40–42°C. It should feel comfortable, like a warm massage, never painful.
  4. Wrapping upcompleting the zone, then moving on to the next area if treating 2 zones.
  5. Leaving with no downtimeno bandages, no visible marks (brief redness is possible); you go straight back to your day.

Facial sessions are shorter; body sessions are longer and calculated "per area" — the cosmetologist determines the exact procedure and number of sessions in the series during your consultation.

Exilis and your lifestyle

What you can and can't do

The treatment requires no downtime, but for the best result, it's worth supporting your body on and around treatment days — especially with water and movement, which help your body clear what the heat and ultrasound have stirred up in the fat tissue.

  1. Water and hydration

    drink more

    This matters most: drink plenty of water on the day of the treatment and the days after. Fat released by the heat and the work on tissue "settle" best when the body has the means to clear them.

  2. Training and movement

    welcome

    Light activity (walking, cycling) supports the contouring effect. Exilis and movement work as a team — there's no need to skip training.

  3. Sauna and hot baths

    skip on the day of treatment

    Skin is already warmed by radiofrequency — it's best to hold off on additional intense heat that same day. From the next day onwards, no restrictions.

  4. Sun and sunbeds

    avoid recent tanning

    We don't perform radiofrequency on recently tanned or sunburnt skin. After facial treatments, use SPF 50+ — it supports new collagen.

  5. Diet

    light and sensible

    The treatment contours and firms, but it's a calorie deficit and healthy eating that shape your figure. A light diet around the treatment day and lower salt intake help limit swelling.

  6. Alcohol

    skip on the day of treatment

    Alcohol dehydrates and makes it harder to clear what the treatment has set in motion. It's best to skip it on treatment day.

Frequently asked questions

  1. QuestionAfter how many sessions is the result visible?
    AnswerTightening and a "lifted" feeling can be noticeable after the very first session, especially on the face — but this is a temporary effect. More lasting changes (firmness, less visible cellulite, a tighter contour) build up over the series, which we usually plan as 4–8 sessions every 7–14 days. The full effect of collagen remodelling continues to develop for weeks after the series.
  2. QuestionDoes Exilis help with weight loss, and will I lose centimetres from it?
    AnswerThis is a firming and contouring treatment, not a weight-loss method. It supports contour reduction and skin firmness, but it doesn't replace a calorie deficit or exercise. Promises of "minus several centimetres after one session" are a warning sign.
  3. QuestionHow long do results last?
    AnswerResults built through a series last a long time, but skin and tissue keep changing — which is why we plan maintenance sessions. Results last longest in people who support them through lifestyle: water, movement, sleep, a stable weight.
  4. QuestionDoes it work on both the face and body?
    AnswerYes — this is one of Exilis's main advantages. On the face, it firms and tightens a sagging contour; on the body, it works on cellulite, firmness and contour. The applicator and protocol change, not the device.
