A treatment room at J'adoreBODY CONTOURING & SLIMMING
Heavy, swollen legs by the end of the day, water "retained" before your period, orange-peel skin on your thighs, or simply an important event in a few days — Arosha bandages are an Italian body-wrapping method designed for exactly these situations. This is not a device treatment and doesn't involve needles: we wrap the body in elastic bandages soaked in active serum.
The effect comes from combining gentle, contouring compression with ingredients that "draw out" excess water and stimulate drainage. Skin comes out smoother, legs feel lighter, and measurements are measurably reduced, because swelling and fluid retention decrease. This is a care-and-contouring treatment that supports your silhouette, but doesn't replace diet or exercise. At J'adore Instytut, it's performed by an experienced cosmetologist. Below you'll find everything worth knowing before your first visit.
single ritual before an occasion or a series of 4–10 sessions
How it works
Arosha is an Italian line of active cosmetic bandages — elastic strips of fabric soaked in concentrated serum. We wrap them around selected areas of the body, and the effect comes from two mechanisms working together: gentle, contouring compression and osmosis — drawing excess water out of the spaces between cells and towards the lymphatic vessels.
The ingredients soaked into the bandages (including caffeine, ivy extract, centella, seaweed, green tea and horsetail) stimulate lymphatic drainage and support local lipolysis, while firming and smoothing the skin. That's why, right after the treatment, legs feel lighter and measurements are reduced — swelling and water retention decrease first and foremost, and skin looks smoother and firmer.

An important distinction: bandages don't "dissolve" fat the way device-based treatments do, and they don't replace diet or exercise. They do something different, and very pleasant: they dehydrate, drain, smooth and contour your silhouette "right now", and with a series they help lock in improved skin texture.
Ideal for
The female zone and the male zone
The most common scenario is contouring and drainage before an important event, along with addressing cellulite and retention. This is the classic use of Arosha bandages for women — thighs, buttocks, abdomen, arms, "heavy" legs.
The areas we support
Men reach for bandages less often than for a haircut, but when they do, it's usually for drainage and recovery — heavy legs after standing jobs and long flights, working on a "spare tyre" and love handles as part of a contouring programme, clearing metabolites after training. These are Arosha bandages for men.
The areas we support
Good to know: the "minus a few centimetres" you see right after body wrapping is largely down to dehydration and drainage, not fat loss — which is why the tape measure shows the most dramatic result right after the treatment and over the following days. Fat loss is a completely different mechanism, on a different timescale. This isn't "cheating" — you just need to know exactly what's disappearing.
Safety
Body wrapping is a safe, pleasant treatment, but its value depends on a few things worth asking about at any salon:
At J'adore, bandages are applied by an experienced cosmetologist, who first goes through contraindications with you (including pregnancy, venous problems, thrombosis) and chooses the right serum variant. Skipping the consultation is the first warning sign.
An honest salon will tell you directly that bandages work brilliantly on swelling, retention and skin appearance, while fat tissue is best addressed with device-based methods and a series combined with diet.
Reliable measurements document the real drainage effect — and let us show you honestly how much of that will last.
A red flag: "–10 cm in one session" and suspiciously cheap packages · Promises like "minus 10 cm in an hour" or "we'll burn fat with bandages" are marketing, not physiology — a single body wrap primarily removes fluid, and a genuine reduction in measurements is usually counted in single centimetres. Watch out too for very cheap "miracle series" sold without a consultation and without asking about contraindications (pregnancy, varicose veins, thrombosis). A good salon won't promise a miracle — it will explain exactly what will disappear and what will last.
Contraindications
Some contraindications are permanent, and some are temporary — in the latter case, we simply postpone the treatment until the situation resolves. We'll go through the full list at consultation.
From the cosmetologist's chair
The most commonly overlooked issue is venous problems. Body wrapping does wonders for tired legs, but with thrombosis or significant venous insufficiency, compression and drainage can cause harm. That's why I always ask about varicose veins, spider veins, swelling and diagnoses — it's better to choose a safe variant or postpone than to take a risk.
This isn't a complete list — we'll discuss your conditions, medications and previous treatments individually at consultation.

The visit

Consultation and measurements
the cosmetologist assesses the areas to work on, discusses your goal and contraindications, and takes measurements before the treatment, to show the difference afterwards.

Peel and skin preparation
in the full ritual, we exfoliate the skin so ingredients absorb better (in the "bandage only" version, this step may be shortened).

Active mask/serum
application of a formula chosen for your goal (slimming, detox, cellulite, tired legs).

Bandage wrapping
we wrap selected areas (legs, thighs, abdomen, arms) with elastic, soaked bandages that gently contour and compress.

Rest time in bandages
you lie comfortably, covered, while body heat supports absorption and drainage. This is the most relaxing part.
Unwrapping, draining massage and final measurements
we remove the bandages, perform a draining massage, and take measurements again. We finish with a firming cream.
What to expect
You'll see the strongest effect right away — this is actually the reverse of collagen-building treatments. As soon as the bandages come off, legs feel lighter, skin is smoother, and the tape shows smaller measurements. Part of the effect is drainage, which keeps working for hours and days afterwards.
The most common misunderstanding: a client comes back after a week and says "my measurements went back up". That's natural — a single treatment removes water, and water returns if nothing else changes. That's why, for cellulite and body contouring, we work in a series and combine bandages with diet, exercise and device-based methods. Bandages are a wonderful "reset" and accelerator, not a standalone weight-loss programme.
Portfolio
A record of the work in our salons — the place where we publish treatment frames and, after photo sessions, results.
A record of results — in preparation. We publish photographs of our clients only with their consent.
For a "right now" effect (before an occasion), one or a few sessions during the preceding week is enough. For a more lasting change to skin texture and cellulite, we plan a series of 4–10 sessions every few days — this way, the improvement lasts longer.
Bandages and your lifestyle
Body wrapping has no "downtime" — you go straight back to your day. A few simple rules, though, will help you get the most out of drainage and avoid undoing the effect in the first few hours.
This is the exception that supports the effect: drainage "sets fluids moving", and drinking water helps clear them efficiently. A bottle of water on the day of the treatment and afterwards is the best thing you can do.
Gentle heat supports drainage and relaxation — if you tolerate it well, a sauna or warm bath after the treatment actually helps. Just avoid overheating and dehydration.
Activity is an ally — a walk, cycling or light training gives lymph an extra pump. Bandages and movement work as a team.
The treatment itself doesn't rule out sun exposure, but if you've had heavy sun exposure beforehand, mention it — fresh, irritated tan is a reason to skip or postpone. Afterwards, standard SPF 50+ applies.
Alcohol dehydrates and encourages retention — working against drainage. It's best to cut back around the treatment, especially if you're aiming for a result before an occasion.
Salty food retains water and can "undo" the drainage effect. A lighter, lower-salt diet around the treatment days prolongs the result and strengthens an anti-cellulite programme.
