SCALP & HAIR

Support for follicles
“a signal to renew”

Hair thinning does not happen overnight. It is a process that begins long before you notice more hair on your brush.

Follicles do not die immediately. First, they 'fall asleep'. The hair grows thinner, shorter, and weaker, and the hair papilla's microenvironment loses condition. ASCE exosomes are one of trichology's latest answers to this problem. These are microscopic signal vesicles derived from stem cells (carrying proteins, peptides, and mRNA), which we deliver into the scalp using gentle microneedling. Their role is to 'transmit instructions' to dormant follicles, improve blood supply and nourishment, and support the hair's growth phase. We are honest about this: exosomes support and strengthen, but they do not reverse advanced baldness in a single treatment. They work best when used early, after diagnosis, and as part of a series. This is the same technology we use on the face (**exosomes**), here directed at the scalp. Below, you will find everything you need to know before your first visit.

  • Male pattern baldness (AGA)
  • Telogen effluvium
  • Thin and weakened hair
  • Scalp in poorer condition

How it works

How it works

Exosomes are signal vesicles. These are microscopic 'information packets' secreted by cells, including stem cells. Inside, they carry proteins, peptides, and mRNA molecules, which are a set of instructions cells use to communicate with each other. In trichology, we use them to 'transmit a message' to weakened, dormant hair follicles and their surroundings.

We deliver them into the scalp with gentle microneedling. The micro-channels facilitate the absorption of the preparation where it needs to act, close to the hair papilla. The goal is not to 'glue' hair on, but to improve the microenvironment: better blood supply and nourishment, silencing unfavourable signals, and supporting the follicle in transitioning to the growth phase (anagen). Therefore, the effect is not immediate. It builds up in line with the hair cycle, not overnight.

Three layers of the scalp in cross-section: the epidermis at the surface, the dermis with the hair follicles set into it beneath, and deepest of all the subcutaneous tissue. The microneedles open a route through the epidermis and the formula spreads at the level of the follicles. The specialist sets the delivery depth during the consultation.
  1. Epidermisthe layer the needle passes through
  2. Dermis with folliclesthe level the follicles sit at
  3. Subcutaneous tissuedeeper than this delivery reaches

Exosomes are not the same as PRP. PRP uses growth factors from your own blood, while exosomes are a ready-to-use, standardised signal preparation. Both support follicles, but through different pathways. They are often used as complementary elements of a treatment plan.

Ideal for

Ideal for

  1. Male pattern baldness (AGA)in early and moderate stages — thinning on the crown, at the parting, and receding hairline in men.
  2. Telogen effluviumafter childbirth, severe stress, infection, diet, or hormonal changes, when you suddenly experience more hair shedding.
  3. Thin and weakened hairwhen it loses density, elasticity, and 'body', and your hairstyle becomes transparent.
  4. Scalp in poorer conditiondry, irritated, requiring regeneration after colouring or intense styling.
  5. Strengthening and maintenanceas part of a trichological plan, combined with home care and other treatments.

Interesting fact: Exosomes were first discovered not in cosmetology, but in cell biology. For years, they were considered 'waste' discarded by cells. Only later did it become clear that they are a sophisticated communication system, with cells sending instructions to each other through them. Trichology simply uses this natural 'mail service' to communicate with the hair follicle.

Female and Male Zones

What's Different

For her

What Really Happens to Female Hair

In women, hair loss rarely means a receding hairline. More often, it is diffuse thinning along the parting and loss of volume, strongly linked to hormones, thyroid issues, iron/ferritin deficiencies, or stress. ASCE exosomes for women support follicles and improve scalp condition, but first, we honestly look for the underlying cause.

The areas we support

  1. thinning at the parting and loss of volume at the roots;
  2. telogen effluvium after childbirth, stress, or diet;
  3. hair weakening during the perimenopausal period;
  4. scalp regeneration after colouring and styling.
For him

Male Hair Loss — When Time Works Against You

In men, male pattern baldness predominates — a receding hairline and thinning on the crown, usually appearing earlier and more 'graphically'. ASCE exosomes for men make the most sense when follicles are weakened but still present. This means early on, before the area 'shines' with smooth skin devoid of follicles.

The areas we support

  1. early receding hairline and thinning at the front;
  2. thinning on the crown (vertex);
  3. support for the effects of other trichological treatments;
  4. scalp care for short hair.

Regardless of gender, the starting point is a consultation with trichoscopy. This will show whether exosomes are the right choice, or if another treatment from our scalp offerings would be more suitable.

What Exosomes Will NOT Do

Honestly

Trichology is an area where it is easy to have hopes that exceed the treatment's capabilities. That is why we state clearly where the limits are:

  1. They will not recreate follicles that are no longer thereWhere the scalp is smooth and shiny, and follicles have long since died, no trichological treatment will restore them. This is an area for hair transplant, not exosomes.
  2. They will not replace a diagnosis of the causeHair loss due to iron deficiency, thyroid issues, or medication requires treating the source. Exosomes support follicles, but they will not fix a systemic disorder.
  3. They will not work in one sessionThis is work performed in a series, in line with the hair cycle. A single visit is the beginning, not the finale.
  4. They are not a medical procedure or a medicationFor severe or sudden hair loss, the first step is to consult a dermatologist or trichologist for diagnostics.
Red Flag: Sudden, Severe Hair Loss and Scalp Changes

🚩 If your hair has started falling out suddenly, in handfuls, or if patches of smooth skin, redness, flaking, itching, pain, pustules, or scars have appeared, this is a sign that dermatological diagnostics are needed first, not an aesthetic treatment. Alopecia areata, fungal infections, or scarring diseases require treatment, not strengthening. Exosomes can wait until a diagnosis is made.

SCALP & HAIR

What to expect during your visit

  1. Consultation with trichoscopya trichoscopy camera shows the density, thickness, and condition of your follicles, as well as the state of your scalp. This forms the basis for decisions and a reference point for evaluating results.
  2. Interview and exclusion of contraindicationswe ask about your health, medications, hormones, recent infections, and previous treatments. Here, we also determine if you first need tests or a visit to a dermatologist.
  3. Scalp preparationcleansing and, if necessary, local anaesthesia for your comfort.
  4. Microneedling + exosome applicationwe introduce the ASCE preparation into the scalp using microneedling, evenly across thinning areas. Most people describe this as noticeable but well-tolerated.
  5. Aftercare instructions and series planwe establish the intervals between visits and home care to enhance the treatment's effect between sessions.

From the Trichologist's Salon

⚕️ A 'before' trichoscopy photo is the best friend of honest evaluation. After a few weeks, memory can be unreliable — 'I think it's better, but I'm not sure'. Comparing the image from before the series with the image afterwards tells the truth instead of relying on impressions.

Contraindications

When to Postpone the Treatment

Since the treatment disrupts the skin (microneedling), some contraindications are permanent, while others are temporary. In temporary cases, we simply reschedule your visit until the situation resolves.

We don't perform it
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Active herpes (Herpes)even if it is in an area other than the treatment zone (e.g., on the lips); we will reschedule until it has healed.
  • Active inflammation or infection of the scalpredness, pustules, weeping lesions, fungal infection; treatment is required first.
  • Bleeding disorders and anticoagulant medicationsrequire assessment and caution (risk of bleeding and bruising).
  • Fresh tan / irritated scalpwe wait until the skin has calmed down.
  • Autoimmune or scarring scalp diseasesrequire dermatological diagnosis first.
  • Fever and general infectionwe wait until you have recovered.
  • Uncontrolled systemic diseases(e.g., unstable diabetes, cancer undergoing treatment) — require individual assessment.
Herpes — More Often Overlooked Than You Think

🚩 Active herpes is a contraindication regardless of location. Even if it is 'only on your lips' and the treatment concerns your scalp. Disrupting the skin with an active virus poses an unnecessary risk. It is better to postpone by a few days.

This is not an exhaustive list. We will individually review your medications, illnesses, test results, and scalp condition during your trichoscopy consultation.

What to expect

No surprises

Most importantly: you will not see the effect immediately — and this is normal. Hair grows slowly, and the follicle needs time to enter the growth phase. The first sign is usually not a 'new head of hair', but less hair on your brush and improved scalp condition.

  1. Faza 1.first few daysredness and tenderness subside; the scalp regenerates
  2. Faza 2.several weeksfirst sign — less hair shedding, scalp in better condition
  3. Faza 3.after the seriesgradually visible denser, stronger regrowth at the roots
  4. Faza 4.maintenanceperiodic visits to maintain the effect — the trichologist establishes the plan
⚕️ Some people report after their first visit that 'nothing is happening'. This is not a failure; it is the hair cycle at work. Exosomes work 'in the background', and the effect becomes apparent over weeks. That is why we do not evaluate a series after one treatment, and we do not promise a miracle in two weeks.
From the Trichologist's Salon

What is normal immediately after the treatment

  • slight redness and a warm sensation on the scalp — usually subsides within a few to several hours;
  • slight tenderness or a feeling of tightness in the treated areas for the first day;
  • sometimes tiny pinpoint marks from microneedling — these are hidden by hair and quickly disappear.

Exosomes and Your Lifestyle

Aftercare

After microneedling, your scalp is more sensitive for the first few hours and days. We want to avoid irritating it and allow the preparation to work undisturbed. There is one rule: treat your scalp gently for the first 24 hours.

  1. Hair Washing

    wait until the next day

    It is best not to wash your hair on the same day. Allow the micro-channels to close. The next day, wash gently with lukewarm water and a mild shampoo, without vigorous rubbing.

  2. Workout and Sweat

    avoid for 24 hours

    Postpone intense exercise and heavy sweating of the scalp for 24 hours. Sweat and increased circulation can irritate fresh punctures.

  3. Sauna and Swimming Pool

    24–48 hour break

    Sauna, hammam, hot baths, and swimming pools (chlorine) can irritate and promote infection of fresh scalp skin. Refrain for 1–2 days.

  4. Sun on the Scalp

    protect partings

    Postpone intense sun exposure for a few days. If you have thinner hair, remember to protect your partings, as fresh scalp skin can easily discolour.

  5. Colouring and Strong Styling

    wait a few days

    Hair colouring, high-temperature straighteners, and aggressive styling cosmetics should only be used after your scalp has healed. Ask your trichologist for the exact timing.

  6. Trichological Home Care

    continue as planned

    Continue to use any recommended serums, ampoules, or oral preparations. These enhance the treatment's effect between visits. A treatment without home care yields less.

ASCE scalp exosomes

Frequently asked questions

  1. QuestionWill hair grow back after exosomes where there is baldness?
    AnswerExosomes support follicles that are still alive but weakened. In such cases, they can genuinely improve hair density and thickness. However, where follicles have already died (smooth, shiny skin), no trichological treatment will recreate them. Trichoscopy will show what is possible for you.
  2. QuestionAfter how many treatments is the effect visible?
    AnswerThis is a matter of weeks, not days — and a series, not a single visit. The first sign is usually less hair on your brush and improved scalp condition. Denser regrowth appears later, in line with the hair cycle. That is why we take 'before' photos.
  3. QuestionIs the effect permanent?
    AnswerExosomes support follicles, but they do not stop the cause of hair loss (e.g., androgens in AGA). After a series, we usually propose a maintenance plan. Treating the underlying cause and consistent home care are always important in the background.
