A treatment room at J'adoreLASER THERAPY / HIGH-TECH / REMOVAL
Skin on the neck and jawline loses its spring, the facial contour drops slightly, and the abdomen after pregnancy or the thighs are no longer as firm as they once were. This is a natural process — collagen and elastin weaken over time — but you don't have to accept it without a fight. NIR thermal lifting (Soprano NIR) is a treatment that uses deep near-infrared heat to warm the deeper layers of the skin, causing existing collagen fibres to contract while prompting fibroblasts to produce new ones.
The result: skin tightened and firmed from within — no scalpel, no injections, no recovery time. It's one of the most pleasant thermal treatments in aesthetics — many clients simply fall asleep during the session. At J'adore Instytut, the treatment is performed by a doctor or experienced cosmetologist. Below you'll find everything worth knowing before your first visit.
best results come from a series of several sessions, followed by maintenance
How it works
NIR stands for Near Infrared. It's controlled thermal energy in the form of a light wave that penetrates deeper than surface treatments, warming the dermis and the tissue beneath it — without disturbing the epidermis. The surface of the skin stays untouched, while all the work happens beneath it.
Two things happen under the influence of heat. First, existing collagen fibres contract — this gives an immediate tightening effect. Second, the heat stimulates fibroblasts (the cells that produce collagen and elastin) into action — and it's this long-term process of neocollagenesis that builds lasting firmness over the following weeks. That's why the effect isn't "instant and done" — it builds after the treatment.
At J'adore, we work with the NIR applicator of the Soprano device (Alma Lasers) — medical-grade equipment. The applicator is guided over the skin in smooth, controlled movements; we monitor temperature and your comfort throughout. It's a paramedical treatment, performed by a doctor or experienced cosmetologist — and that's exactly how we approach it.

Ideal for
NIR thermal lifting works well wherever skin has lost its spring and you'd rather avoid needles or downtime. It works on both face and body:
Good to know: this is exactly the same near-infrared light you feel as deep heat from a hot compress — only focused and controlled so it reaches deep into the skin, rather than just warming the surface. Many clients treat the session as a moment of relaxation and simply fall asleep.
The female and male zone
The most common goal is tightening the contour, neck and décolletage and firming the body after pregnancy or weight loss. Women's skin can be thinner and more delicate, so intensity is chosen more carefully, favouring comfort and a gradual effect. This is classic NIR thermal lifting for women.
The areas we support
Men's skin is thicker and stronger, so it responds well to deep NIR heat — the stimulus reaches exactly where collagen is produced. Goal: a sharper jawline and firmer neck, a rested look without losing masculine character. This is NIR thermal lifting for men.
The areas we support
Good to know: the same NIR applicator can work on delicate décolletage skin as well as thicker abdominal skin — because it doesn't "burn" a single spot, but warms a larger zone evenly. That's the source of its versatility: one heat source, many applications.
Safety
With energy-based thermal lifting, the result and safety depend on a few things worth asking about at any salon:
NIR involves working with thermal energy — at J'adore it's performed by a doctor or experienced cosmetologist, who assesses the skin, chooses zones and intensity, and monitors temperature throughout the treatment. An experienced hand is the difference between "pleasant warmth" and unnecessary risk.
We work with the NIR applicator of the Soprano device (Alma Lasers) — well-maintained, serviced, medical-grade equipment, not some random "heat lamp".
There's no single "one setting for everyone". Thin décolletage skin and thicker abdominal skin call for different settings — which is why consultation is mandatory, and we check in on your comfort throughout the treatment.
Red flag: "cold" thermal lifting without consultation · If someone offers a strong energy-based treatment without first discussing your medications, implants and contraindications — that's a warning sign. You're entitled to ask what equipment the salon uses, who performs the treatment, and how temperature is monitored. A good salon will answer without hesitation.
Contraindications
Some contraindications are permanent, others temporary — in which case we simply postpone the treatment until the situation resolves. The final assessment is made by a specialist during consultation.
With treatments that use light energy, fresh tanning and intense sun exposure right before or after the treatment carry a real risk of irritation and pigmentation. After a series, SPF 50+ is strictly mandatory, and it's worth planning holiday sunbathing carefully around your session dates.
This isn't a complete list — we'll go through your medications, conditions, implants and previous treatments individually during consultation.
The visit

Consultation
the cosmetologist assesses your skin, the zones to be treated and your expectations, and rules out contraindications (including pregnancy, implants in the zone, photosensitivity).

Cleansing the zone
we remove make-up and impurities. Skin needs to be clean, free of creams, so the infrared light can penetrate freely.

Applying the NIR applicator
the applicator is placed on the skin and guided in smooth, controlled movements. You feel deep, pleasant warmth penetrating the tissue right away.
Controlled heating
skin temperature gradually rises into the therapeutic range; we monitor heat and your comfort throughout.
Cooling, serum and SPF
a brief cooling of the skin (optional), a hydrating serum and sun protection. We discuss the plan for the next sessions.
Back to daily life
immediately, with no bandages and usually no visible marks at all.
What to expect
Most importantly: the effect builds gradually. You can feel a slight tightening straight away (collagen fibres contracting), but the real change — firming and improved skin quality — builds over the following weeks, as new collagen matures. That's why NIR is done as a series, and we assess the result over time.
The question I hear most often after the first session: "so when will I see results?" NIR isn't a treatment where you walk out and it's done. Collagen takes weeks to develop — that's exactly why we plan a series, and the best results appear once it's complete. Patience genuinely pays off here.
Portfolio
A record of the work in our salons — the place where we publish treatment frames and, after photo sessions, results.
A record of results — in preparation. We publish photographs of our clients only with their consent.
The effect lasts for months, but the skin continues to age naturally — so we maintain the result with individual touch-up sessions or shorter series from time to time. It's an investment in skin quality, not a one-off box to tick.
NIR thermal lifting and your lifestyle
One big advantage of NIR is zero downtime — but in the first few hours the skin is warm, so it's worth postponing a few things to avoid worsening redness or irritation.
Training before the treatment doesn't block anything. Right after the treatment, skip intense exercise — warm skin and faster circulation can heighten redness. Usually no restrictions the next day.
The skin is already warmed by the treatment — adding more heat right afterwards doesn't make sense. Postpone sauna and hot baths for the same day, ideally until the next.
After an energy-based treatment, avoid intense sun and sunbeds for a few days. After that, no restrictions — provided you use SPF 50+ daily.
For the first day or two, stick to gentle, hydrating skincare. Postpone strong acids and retinol for a few days to avoid irritating the warmed skin.
No visible marks means you can return to work and meetings the same day. You can usually apply make-up once your skin has cooled down after the treatment.
The best thing you can do for the result: regular hydration and daily SPF 50+. Well-cared-for, hydrated skin responds better to collagen stimulation.
