NIR thermolifting (Soprano NIR) — treatment at J'adore Instytut

NIR thermolifting (Soprano NIR)

Deep, soothing near-infrared heat that tightens the skin from within and stimulates collagen — no needles, no pain, no downtime.

Tightening and collagen
“infrared warmth”

Skin on the neck and jawline loses its spring, the facial contour drops slightly, and the abdomen after pregnancy or the thighs are no longer as firm as they once were. This is a natural process — collagen and elastin weaken over time — but you don't have to accept it without a fight. NIR thermal lifting (Soprano NIR) is a treatment that uses deep near-infrared heat to warm the deeper layers of the skin, causing existing collagen fibres to contract while prompting fibroblasts to produce new ones.

The result: skin tightened and firmed from within — no scalpel, no injections, no recovery time. It's one of the most pleasant thermal treatments in aesthetics — many clients simply fall asleep during the session. At J'adore Instytut, the treatment is performed by a doctor or experienced cosmetologist. Below you'll find everything worth knowing before your first visit.

  • Sagging facial contour and jawline
  • Lax skin on the neck and décolletage
  • Double chin / submental area
  • Loose abdominal skin
  • Inner thighs and arms
  • Buttocks
  • Cellulite and "tired", under-toned body skin
  • Anti-ageing prevention

How it works

How it works

NIR stands for Near Infrared. It's controlled thermal energy in the form of a light wave that penetrates deeper than surface treatments, warming the dermis and the tissue beneath it — without disturbing the epidermis. The surface of the skin stays untouched, while all the work happens beneath it.

Two things happen under the influence of heat. First, existing collagen fibres contract — this gives an immediate tightening effect. Second, the heat stimulates fibroblasts (the cells that produce collagen and elastin) into action — and it's this long-term process of neocollagenesis that builds lasting firmness over the following weeks. That's why the effect isn't "instant and done" — it builds after the treatment.

At J'adore, we work with the NIR applicator of the Soprano device (Alma Lasers) — medical-grade equipment. The applicator is guided over the skin in smooth, controlled movements; we monitor temperature and your comfort throughout. It's a paramedical treatment, performed by a doctor or experienced cosmetologist — and that's exactly how we approach it.

Three layers of skin in cross-section: the epidermis at the surface, the dermis with its collagen fibres beneath it, and deepest of all the subcutaneous tissue. The infrared wave passes through the epidermis without breaking it and releases its heat in the dermis. The specialist matches the power and the number of passes to the condition of your skin.
  1. Epidermisthe surface the energy passes through
  2. Dermisthe layer where the collagen warms up
  3. Subcutaneous tissuethe level the deeper heat reaches

Ideal for

Ideal for

NIR thermal lifting works well wherever skin has lost its spring and you'd rather avoid needles or downtime. It works on both face and body:

  1. Sagging facial contour and jawlinewhen the contour loses its definition.
  2. Lax skin on the neck and décolletageone of the most rewarding zones for NIR.
  3. Double chin / submental areagentle firming of the skin in this area.
  4. Loose abdominal skinafter pregnancy or weight loss, when exercise alone isn't enough.
  5. Inner thighs and armslaxity that doesn't go away on its own.
  6. Buttockslifting and contour firming.
  7. Cellulite and "tired", under-toned body skinimproved quality and density.
  8. Anti-ageing preventionfor those who want to actively slow skin laxity.

Good to know: this is exactly the same near-infrared light you feel as deep heat from a hot compress — only focused and controlled so it reaches deep into the skin, rather than just warming the surface. Many clients treat the session as a moment of relaxation and simply fall asleep.

The female and male zone

What's different

For her

NIR thermal lifting for women — what we pay attention to

The most common goal is tightening the contour, neck and décolletage and firming the body after pregnancy or weight loss. Women's skin can be thinner and more delicate, so intensity is chosen more carefully, favouring comfort and a gradual effect. This is classic NIR thermal lifting for women.

The areas we support

  1. facial contour, neck, décolletage — tightening and improved contour;
  2. abdomen after pregnancy, thighs and arms — firming loose skin;
  3. buttocks and cellulite-prone zones — lifting and better skin quality;
  4. prevention — maintaining firmness before laxity sets in.
For him

NIR thermal lifting for men — thicker skin, deeper stimulus

Men's skin is thicker and stronger, so it responds well to deep NIR heat — the stimulus reaches exactly where collagen is produced. Goal: a sharper jawline and firmer neck, a rested look without losing masculine character. This is NIR thermal lifting for men.

The areas we support

  1. sagging contour and a soft jawline — sharper definition;
  2. lax skin on the neck and submental area — firming without surgery;
  3. loose abdominal skin after weight loss;
  4. zero downtime — a meeting or training session the next day is no problem.

Good to know: the same NIR applicator can work on delicate décolletage skin as well as thicker abdominal skin — because it doesn't "burn" a single spot, but warms a larger zone evenly. That's the source of its versatility: one heat source, many applications.

Safety

What really determines the result

With energy-based thermal lifting, the result and safety depend on a few things worth asking about at any salon:

  1. Who performs it

    NIR involves working with thermal energy — at J'adore it's performed by a doctor or experienced cosmetologist, who assesses the skin, chooses zones and intensity, and monitors temperature throughout the treatment. An experienced hand is the difference between "pleasant warmth" and unnecessary risk.

  2. What equipment is used

    We work with the NIR applicator of the Soprano device (Alma Lasers) — well-maintained, serviced, medical-grade equipment, not some random "heat lamp".

  3. How the zone and intensity are chosen

    There's no single "one setting for everyone". Thin décolletage skin and thicker abdominal skin call for different settings — which is why consultation is mandatory, and we check in on your comfort throughout the treatment.

Red flag: "cold" thermal lifting without consultation · If someone offers a strong energy-based treatment without first discussing your medications, implants and contraindications — that's a warning sign. You're entitled to ask what equipment the salon uses, who performs the treatment, and how temperature is monitored. A good salon will answer without hesitation.

Contraindications

When to postpone the treatment

Some contraindications are permanent, others temporary — in which case we simply postpone the treatment until the situation resolves. The final assessment is made by a specialist during consultation.

We don't perform it
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Photosensitivity, and photosensitising / phototoxic medications and supplementsthese require assessment and often a waiting period.
  • Fresh, intense tanning and recent sun exposurein the treatment zone — we wait until the skin has "rested".
  • Isotretinoin (Roaccutane) and its derivativeswe maintain an appropriate interval after completing the course.
  • Metal implants in the treatment zone, as well as a pacemaker or implanted defibrillator.
  • Active cancers, as well as active infections and inflammatory skin conditions in the treatment area.
  • Fever and general infectionwe wait until you've recovered.
  • Sensory disorders / neuropathies in the zonethese make it harder to assess thermal comfort.
Sun and tanning — a common mistake

With treatments that use light energy, fresh tanning and intense sun exposure right before or after the treatment carry a real risk of irritation and pigmentation. After a series, SPF 50+ is strictly mandatory, and it's worth planning holiday sunbathing carefully around your session dates.

This isn't a complete list — we'll go through your medications, conditions, implants and previous treatments individually during consultation.

The visit

What to expect during your visit

  1. NIR thermolifting (Soprano NIR) — treatment at J'adore Instytut — Consultation

    Consultation

    the cosmetologist assesses your skin, the zones to be treated and your expectations, and rules out contraindications (including pregnancy, implants in the zone, photosensitivity).

  2. NIR thermolifting (Soprano NIR) — treatment at J'adore Instytut — Cleansing the zone

    Cleansing the zone

    we remove make-up and impurities. Skin needs to be clean, free of creams, so the infrared light can penetrate freely.

  3. NIR thermolifting (Soprano NIR) — treatment at J'adore Instytut — Applying the NIR applicator

    Applying the NIR applicator

    the applicator is placed on the skin and guided in smooth, controlled movements. You feel deep, pleasant warmth penetrating the tissue right away.

  4. Controlled heating

    skin temperature gradually rises into the therapeutic range; we monitor heat and your comfort throughout.

  5. Cooling, serum and SPF

    a brief cooling of the skin (optional), a hydrating serum and sun protection. We discuss the plan for the next sessions.

  6. Back to daily life

    immediately, with no bandages and usually no visible marks at all.

What to expect

No surprises

Most importantly: the effect builds gradually. You can feel a slight tightening straight away (collagen fibres contracting), but the real change — firming and improved skin quality — builds over the following weeks, as new collagen matures. That's why NIR is done as a series, and we assess the result over time.

  1. Faza 1.immediatelyslight skin tightening; any warmth and mild redness fade within hours
  2. Faza 2.first weeksskin gradually firmer and more radiant, as collagen production gets under way
  3. Faza 3.after the seriesmore visible firming and improved contour — the effect keeps building
  4. Faza 4.maintenanceresults last for months; we maintain them with touch-up sessions
The question I hear most often after the first session: "so when will I see results?" NIR isn't a treatment where you walk out and it's done. Collagen takes weeks to develop — that's exactly why we plan a series, and the best results appear once it's complete. Patience genuinely pays off here.

What's normal right after the treatment

  • slight, temporary redness — many people don't experience it at all, and if it appears, it fades within hours;
  • a feeling of warmth and mild sensitivity in the skin for a few hours;
  • no swelling, flaking or marks — the epidermis remains undisturbed.

The effect lasts for months, but the skin continues to age naturally — so we maintain the result with individual touch-up sessions or shorter series from time to time. It's an investment in skin quality, not a one-off box to tick.

NIR thermal lifting and your lifestyle

What and when

One big advantage of NIR is zero downtime — but in the first few hours the skin is warm, so it's worth postponing a few things to avoid worsening redness or irritation.

  1. Gym and exercise

    skip on the day of treatment

    Training before the treatment doesn't block anything. Right after the treatment, skip intense exercise — warm skin and faster circulation can heighten redness. Usually no restrictions the next day.

  2. Sauna and hot baths

    a few hours' break

    The skin is already warmed by the treatment — adding more heat right afterwards doesn't make sense. Postpone sauna and hot baths for the same day, ideally until the next.

  3. Sun and sunbeds

    avoid fresh sun exposure

    After an energy-based treatment, avoid intense sun and sunbeds for a few days. After that, no restrictions — provided you use SPF 50+ daily.

  4. Active skincare

    gentle for 1–2 days

    For the first day or two, stick to gentle, hydrating skincare. Postpone strong acids and retinol for a few days to avoid irritating the warmed skin.

  5. Make-up and work

    practically straight away

    No visible marks means you can return to work and meetings the same day. You can usually apply make-up once your skin has cooled down after the treatment.

  6. Hydration and SPF

    daily

    The best thing you can do for the result: regular hydration and daily SPF 50+. Well-cared-for, hydrated skin responds better to collagen stimulation.

Frequently asked questions

  1. QuestionIs the effect visible immediately?
    AnswerYou can feel a slight tightening right after the treatment (existing collagen fibres contract), but the real change — firming and improved skin quality — builds over the following weeks, as new collagen matures. That's why NIR is done as a series.
  2. QuestionHow long do results last?
    AnswerResults last for months. Skin continues to age naturally, so we maintain the outcome with individual touch-up sessions or a short series from time to time — it's an investment in skin quality, not a one-off box to tick.
  3. QuestionHow many sessions will I need?
    AnswerBest results come from a series of several sessions, and a specialist determines the exact number during consultation, based on the degree of laxity and the zone. After that, we move to less frequent maintenance.
  4. QuestionCan NIR thermal lifting help with loose abdominal skin after pregnancy?
    AnswerIt can improve skin firmness and quality where laxity is due to weakened collagen. It won't replace treatments for excess tissue or diastasis recti, though — we set realistic expectations during consultation.
